Don't go here. These guys messed up when I was supposed to have an oil change on my sticker tag. And then when I went to them to ask for some reimbursement on having to replace my engine, the company refused. Go to a real garage to get your oil changed. I even had evidence that they had screwed up and the guy that investigated argued with me and told me it was my fault. Epic failure . Corporate America at its best. They only take care of your customers unless you're complaining or want them to make right something that they screwed up. read more

The service I paid for was to replace the lubricant in my front and rear differentials. That was in August 2024, about 2000 miles ago. After checking the lubricant last week, it was obvious that the rear differential was serviced as the lube was clean and obvious that the front differential was not serviced as the lubricant was dirty. When the manager was questioned about it, she claimed the front differential lubricant is a different color. So, not only did they charge me for service that I did not receive, then they lied about it. They just lost a loyal a customer of 15+ years. To start with they told me they were out of regular oil, I had to upgrade to a blend. Told I would come back when he had what I wanted.my car is 22 years old, dont need a blend. Somewhere he found what I wanted. He checked my battery and told me it needed replacing. It's two weeks old. They tried to take advantage of a 71 year old. Not sure if he put a new filter on it. This is how oil change service is supposed to be. It has been a long time since I last experienced it. Many years ago in Oregon the bar was set by a local oil service chain called Oil Can Henry's where you pulled into the garage bay and a team of technicians went to work on your vehicle and had you back on the road in the time it takes to order a latte. Today I experienced that fantastic level of service once again and was very pleased by it. They even told me how to go to their website and get a coupon to save on the cost of service. Absolutely terrible. At 30k miles, I serviced my Toyota 4Runner here with a differential fluid change (the first scheduled maintenance on the differential). The next time the differentials needed serviced, I decided to perform this routine maintenance myself. In doing so, I discovered the rear differential fill plug had two compression washers on it while the drain plug had none. Then I also discovered that both of the front differential fill and drain plugs (which are 10mm female hex plugs) are badly gouged and their hex fittings almost entirely stripped. The only time these plugs were accessed since my truck came off the assembly line was when there were serviced at this Valvoline shop. Just plain negligent workmanship with damage to my vehicle. read more

Very unorganized and employees seemed overwhelmed possibly understaffed. Main reason for lower rating is older lady possibly manager interrupted question to another associate and was awkwardly rude and also very abruptly approached me in aggressive manor. Long story short I asked how long wait time was and if would be fine if left car and grabbed McDonald's next door. Anyway after rude older gal approached and almost screamed "25 minutes" I drove off followed by an additional car who probably was a little annoyed also as they were already there when I pulled up earlier. read more

You might want to google 'Oil Change Battery Scam' before you go here. They showed me a print out of the battery test, showing it was very low and needed to be replaced. The paper readout was FAKE! Then they wanted to replace it. But it is only a year old, I said. He said he could not tell, since the person who installed it did not punch the year and month. (there was a smude of dirty oil on it, did he put that there?) So he calls Interstate battery, gives them my battery number and tells me "It is 6 years old". NO, it is not. I got a new battery just over a year ago. He shouts- yes it is, I am on the phone with them now! Went back to the mechanic who installed it. I said the dates were not punched. He opens the hood and sees some dirty oil smudged over the date punched holes. Yes the date is correctly punched. Went back today to Valvoline to figure out where the laser etched number is so I can call Interstate. The same guy, the manager, helped me find the numbers, but gave me the wrong line of numbers, on purpose. I finally got Interstate the correct numbers and my battery is NOT 6 years old, it is one year old. That MFer. So, this scam is far and wide. Jiffy lube also runs this battery scam. Like I said, just google 'Oil change battery scam'! Two days later, I decided to check the fluids that they 'topped off'. On the trans fluid it did not show anything on the dipstick. I added a full quart. (Yes the engine on, in neutral, engine hot while testing.) Checked the wiper fluid, half a gallon low, coolant half a gallon low. When the oil change was done, I specifically asked if the trans fluid was checked, the assured me it was topped off. LIARS!! I am going back tomorrow to have a 'discussion' with him. ONLY GO FOR AN OIL CHANGE. ***Oil changes alone, I would give this place 5 stars as the team is efficient and consistent. ***I do not recommend other services here (in my case, a headlight change). They told me my light was out and for a decent price they could replace it. Three people worked on my car to tell me my light was not actually blown and even after putting a new one in for good measure, it still didn't work. They said it had to be electrical. I checked my fuse box and saw things were fine so I brought my car to an auto electrician as recommended. Within 10 minutes they told me it was in fact the light. It was blown. The electrician suspected that since my car is a Subaru (difficult to get to the headlights) they likely checked the WRONG LIGHT. Save yourself some time and get services other than oil change done elsewhere. read more

Sadly, the service here today left me not wanting to return. They were terribly understaffed and looked exhausted, which I blame on management or other company issues than the employees themselves. I arrived at 4:30pm with 2 bays open, one car in each bay, and 2 additional cars in each line. Around 5:30pm, someone shifted the lines without fully communicating with everyone who was waiting, resulting in at least one person who arrived later than myself and others to sit in a bay ahead of us in line. It was 6:20pm before I was finally escorted into a bay for an oil change. While I typically receive service in around 15 minutes at Valvoline, I was highly disappointed to see cars being sent through at a rate of 30-45 minutes per service. Sadly for me, I have a road trip coming up and specifically blocked out this evening to get my oil changed at my regular go-to here in Longmont, so I begrudgingly waited it out, which made me late for dinner plans and thoroughly disappointed me. Again, it's not the fault of the staff as much as the company/whoever is managing this location. I feel for the staff and sadly, I can't recommend this location nor do I think I will return in the future. read more

The service is great and they are not high pressure on having to sell you add ons.... They showed me my slightly dirty air filter and they were 100% up front with me and said that it wasn't something I needed to do right now. They also gave me some suggestions on my transmission and power steering, and differential but it was not high pressure sales. Went to get an oil change here. Fellow filling my car with oil did not know how to turn the pump off, and he covered my engine in oil. Another employee showed him how to do it and they drained my oil for a second time and then refilled it. When I drove home and parked in the garage, I realized my car was smoking as the oil burned off the engine so I have to park outside. Air conditioning stinks of oil and my car drips all over the driveway. They gave me $5 off the service for the trouble. I will never return. Update - I did contact the business and they cleaned my engine twice to get the oil off of it. The first place that did the cleaning did not do a good job, but that is not Valvoline's fault. I found the manager a reasonable and responsible person to work with on resolving this problem. read more

I went here for an oil change about a month ago. As soon as I pulled in the ex-con looking woman who works there was giving me attitude. Then when I left she gave me a replacement sticker that said I was due for my next oil change at 100,000+ miles (my car was at 68,000). Now a month later my oil light is on again. Thanks for nothing. When we pulled into the garage, we were told to remain in the vehicle. For the next ten minutes, we chatted with one of the employees while the others worked on the vehicle. Cost me $94 to have the oil changed in my HONDA CIVIC. Nothing else was done but top the oil off. Felt like for that price, they could have at least reset the oil light--poor value for the money. I won't be going back. When I originally asked why it would cost so much, I was told the girl creating the receipt would be back to adjust the price, and it wouldn't be $94, no such luck.
