Horrible!!! Used…read morethem for possibly 5 yrs servicing 4 different cars. They are good at general mechanics. But complex, No!!! Here are 4 situations that made me see new mechanics: 1.) 8 yrs ago, I overheated the engine and cracked the block on my 1984 Landcruiser. They rebuilt the engine, for about $8,000.00. While in the process, Tim claimed the bottom did not need rebuilding. So they closed up the engine. But I was now burning oil. 2 Qts/ 500 miles. They refused to fix the problem. Tim blamed that I told them to not rebuild the bottom end of the engine. (Ask him about it!) 2.) Just last month, Feb 2026, the catalytic converter on my Landcruiser started to fail. They installed that about 6yrs ago, for about $1,200.00. 3.) 2006 V70,Volvo had a small radiator leak. I brought it in each of the 2 times the Low Level light went on. Each time, they could not find the leak. The 3rd time I brought it in was because the radiator blew and the car overheated. I told them to check that I had not cracked the block before repairing the radiator. They repaired the radiator first., about $1,200.00. Then determined the block was cracked. (Rebuild by Swedish Motors was $6,000.00.) 4.) 2009 S80 Volvo. Had them look at this car to see if it was safe to buy, for my 17yr old daughter. The results of their inspection was "it's in great shape". 1 yr later the transmission went. And I found out that this was the one yr Volvo used a Ford impala transmission. No replacement parts, used or rebuilt transmissions were available, per Swedish Motors. I had to scrap the car. When I confronted Tim and Tyler that they should have known this about this model they said that was something I should have known about the car. Also, while I was waiting in the lobby, I heard one of the mechanics come in and talk to the front desk staff about someone's repair. They were brainstorming ideas of ways to save the customer money. After going back because the Idle control motor was still not working correctly, they said my power (still not) steering fluid needed changing, which I did because I forgot they already changed it(maybe), they put the wrong type of fluid. I've also done some research on this place, and the ghosting repairs is fairly common. Considering a lawsuit.

So I began to put the spare tire on. With the leaking tire off, but the spare not on yet, the cheap POS jack that Jeep put into the Libertys decided to collapse. My wife goes over to Les Schwab to try and borrow another jack. A guy comes over with a jack and puts the spare on. Takes my Liberty over to the shop to repair the leak. Puts the tire back onto my Jeep and the spare back on the tailgate tire holder. No charge. Saved my day. They now own me, and I am going to tell everyone I know this story. Thanks again guys!

They fully stand behind their 60-day satisfaction guarantee, which I know from firsthand experience. I purchased a set of 4 tires for my F-150, drove them for 2500 miles, and realized it just wasn't the right tire. I went back in and told them I wanted a different tire, and that was it. The tire change (with an alignment check) was promptly done the next day. No questions asked. I highly recommend this shop. 10/10.

He was absolutely right! I've been prepping my car for winter with various maintenance tasks, including an alignment that my mechanic had done at this Longmont store. The final step was new tires ("new shoes" for the car!). Unfortunately, this location didn't have the ones I wanted in stock, but Loveland did. I purchased and had them installed there--only to discover they were mounted improperly, poorly balanced, and I received little information about the tire or wheel condition before being sent on my way. Frustrated, I called my mechanic, who immediately suggested bringing it to the Longmont store. I spoke with Tyler over the phone--he had an incredibly positive attitude and told me to come in, even as late as an hour before closing (which felt especially generous for a busy shop). There were a few initial hiccups, but the team was genuinely committed to diagnosing and resolving the issue at no charge. They rebalanced the tires, and Tyler showed me firsthand (with photos and video from the balancing machine) that my wheels required an excessive amount of weights--and even then, they were hopping due to severe bends and warping. He honestly explained the wheels were in bad shape, recommended reputable places to buy replacements, and even offered to order them for me. To make up for the earlier frustrations, he promised free installation on the new wheels. I took the car home with properly balanced tires, but the ride was still rough due to those damaged wheels. After some research, I ordered new ones online from a different site. I checked with Tyler about the brand and seller's reputation--he confirmed they were solid. Delivery was lightning-fast (arrived the next day), and I brought them in the following day. Tyler and his team knocked it out quickly: swapped the rims, installed all new hardware, balanced everything perfectly, and had me on my way. They even advised me to return for a free re-torque of the lug nuts (to ensure proper seating) and a balance check after 100 miles or so of driving--which I did, and the car drove smoother than ever. Overall, an outstanding experience at the Longmont Big O Tires on S Main St! Tyler and his crew prioritize doing the job right the first time, take full accountability if something goes wrong, and go above and beyond to make it right. It's a car inspection, they never know what's going to happen as soon as you drive off their lot, I was just looking for an opinion and I got one, along with a handy discussion about the general state of the issues with cars these days. Gas prices are high, pollution is a thing, and alternative methods of getting around for long distances on a regular basis are not as easily available as we would find helpful. I chatted with the owner for a little bit, and if I lived in the area, I would definitely use this business on a regular basis.
