Went in seeking help with an issue in my ignition system. Guy didn't want to work on my car because I had an issue with the battery terminals arching out to the hood at one point. I get it. No big deal. First interaction. Guy was just rude. Me: "I think I have it figured out that it's the starter". Guy: "Why don't you not tell me what you think it is and tell me the issue". I've been going to Autotech and working Bill out front since 2020. I've had a lot of mechanics care for my vehicle over the past decade, but Autotech has by far been the most reasonable, and also the easiest to work with. I can safely say I have no stress when my vehicle is in their hands. They are a busy shop, so often times you will have to leave your vehicle with them until they can tend to it. read more

I took my 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis in for an alignment before I bought new tires. I was the last customer of the day. My car had 60k actual miles and probably didn't even need an alignment to begin with. I left there with my car pulling hard to the right so I did a loop and went right back to Auto Tech but they had closed. The next morning I was there when they opened and explained what happened and asked the Tech who lined it up why he let it go out the door like that and asked if he drove it after the alignment? He said that it had 21 year old tires on it and he wouldn't drive it on the highway let alone across town with tires that old. They re-aligned my front end and brought my car around front and I left. The steering felt wierd so I took it to Monroe and had it aligned and Auto Tech had it all out of line. When I was driving to Monroe the radiator fans kicked on and roared. The Tech at Monroe added a gallon of antifreeze and 3 quarts of oil because they were low. I can't prove it but I swear the Jerk at Auto Tech who had to re-align my front end drained most of the coolant and 3 quarts of oil out of my car in retaliation. read more

I was very disappointed after speaking with Bill today. My daughter is an Athens student and texted me frantically just now because her car is making a strange noise. She is an education major and can't take time off from the elementary school she is student teaching at during the day. Bill said the last appointment of the day was 3pm. He wouldn't even let my daughter come by after 4pm so he could just listen to the noise and give advice. I explained that I'm two and a half hours away and my kid, who knows nothing about cars, needs a local person who can just listen to the car today and then let her know if arrangements have to be made. Bill actually told me if I wanted better customer service and later hours to go to Firestone! I always try to put myself in the other person's shoes. If someone called me because they had a kid alone in my town who needed my help, I would bend my rules about last appointment of the day and be a friendly face. I'm terribly disappointed that an Athens company doesn't have sympathy for an OU student. read more

Stay away from this crooked service center. They tore off our bumper and refused to repair it or take responsibility. They were rude, dishonest and basically horrible. And they did this to a hard working Ohio University college student just because they thought they could. Whatever you do do NOT go to this shop. If you do, and they mess up your car you are in trouble. They have no integrity at all. read more

I take my 2004 Cavalier here and they take good care of me every time. I've had ball joints replaced, window motors replaced, alignments, oil & lube changes and general maintenance. They have always fixed me up at a reasonable and competitive rate. I'm taking the Cavalier to them this Friday for general maintenance to get ready for the coming winter. I'll have them check all the creaks and groans that I'm unsure of; whether or not they are cause for concern They'll give me the peace of mind that I need to drive a 10 year old car through another winter. read more

With so many auto shop places in Athens that try to rip you off, it was great to find a place that repaired my car so quickly and at such a reasonable price. I will definitely be returning here for future car repairs. read more

I was very satisfied with this service. My car wouldn't start, and within ten minutes of hanging up, someone arrived to where my car was and helped me out. After having called several other places without success, finding such convenient help was awesome. I later needed additional work done and the work was done quickly (same day!) and at a fair price. I will definitely be returning to Autotech in the future for routine care and any further repairs. read more

When went to autotech, about getting my crashed vehicle the guy was very rude !!! I asked him how much it would be to get it out n daily storage cost. He said it was already at 339.00 in less then 24 hours wow really ! So I asked why so much? He said 100 goes toward the toe fee and personal belongings if I wanted to get them out. I said where is the other cost from no answer.then I asked so it's 100 to get the personal effects and his reply I just told you I don't know how much. Mmmm well you should you work here my thoughts. If you want you're things it's 100 dollars and I need you're title signed over if not we will file against you in court! Wow really I never said anything about leaving it here.well we got screwed in the past n had to take people to court and we lose money over it . I told him their is no need for his attitude or to be rude I was trying to figure things out. His reply : well its a business not our fault I feel bad for you're brother who wrecked but it's our business! Really that's hos you talk to customers ..... I told him I had the paper the state trooper gave to me for release of vehicle n personal effects his reply I don't care I don't need to see it the state troopers will call when it's ready for release. OK why do I have the paper then??? Says release of vehicle and he says I got to hear it from them well its their paper work I got!! You can not go get you're personal things till they say ok even if you pay the 100.00. That makes no sense!! When I can show you the paper work from them well he replies go over in talk to them not letting you get you're things till tthey call I have the title and 100 . I told him that I have the 100 n release paper still has an attitude the whole time refusing to let me get my personal things.mind you this whole time I didn't say I would not pay for anything. I told him I would pay the 100 to get my things show n call the trooper and still he says NO! I am waiting for them to call me. I was getting way past upset trying to make any sense out of this. Then I asked what it would cost yet again for my vehicle to be towed to the house he said another 100 to 150 wow plus the 349.00 on top if it. For less then 4 miles!! If I have it towed to the house I should not be charged for my personal things if I leave them in the car till it gets to my house. He looked at me and said that's not how it works you want you're car PAY if you want you're personal items I want the 100 title n release paper n still got to have the trooper call me.so as I headed out the door I told him this is high way robbery and would contact bbb! Not only was he rude he was a unpleasant person to talk to or try and understand.no I didn't get his name but he was about 180 5'11 older man married go tttt buzzed hair age close to maybe 50. After I get this taken care of I am never going back and will make sure I tell my friends and family to never go. read more

They towed my car out of a lot that was supposed to be closing at 11 PM. it was an employee lot that was going to be needed for an event the next morning. My daughter, who was an employee got off work at 11 pm and walked out to find them hooking up to the car. The tow truck driver asked for a 50 dollar cash bribe and he would let her have the car back. She didn't have the cash to bribe him 50 bucks so he took the car and it ended up costing me 125 dollars the next morning. Organized, and legitimized robbery.... read more
