Brought my vehicle in to get water pump fixed. The first time they "fixed it", they broke the sensor…read moreand tried to say it wasn't their fault. They fixed it, and then said it was a different issue- the timing belt. They said it would be ready the next day. When we picked it up, THE BOLTS WERE NOT TIGHTENED CORRECTLY! I made it a mile before taking it back a second time. They apologized for not tightening the bolts and blamed it on a mechanic who was not working on my vehicle. The vehicle continued to run "rough" the following days, followed by decreased acceleration and jerking. I called them and was very upset with the WARRANTIED work that was performed. I did raise my voice to the receptionist and called back an hour later to apologize for my frustrations. She said to bring the vehicle in. Saturday: we called as soon as they opened to bring the vehicle in- we live roughly 40-45 minutes from Gallup. The receptionist said it was okay to bring it in and they would even give us a rental. When we arrived, I made eye contact with the owner, Ali E-Almahdawi, who then immediately vacated the premises. After seeing him, we were told they would not work on the car because of how I spoke to the receptionist the day before. Understandable. I ask to speak to the owner as the work is warrantied, but I'm met with hesitation and no one offers to help. The mechanic who worked on my car refused to take a look at it and another mechanic, unrelated to the incident, started calling me stupid for recording the incident. I started recording once I noticed the mechanics laughing about the situation and did not feel comfortable not documenting my time there. Several minutes after the mechanic called me stupid, he was in the area of my dad and I and I pointed him out. Immediately he says "Don't fucking point at me" and my dad got upset with his tone. The mechanic calls me dumb for recording (again) and asks that the cops are called on us. All of this has been recorded for my safety. During the entire incident, I was respectful, I was polite, but the same cannot be said about JN JA. When I asked the receptionist to point me in the direction to file a complaint, she refused "service" to me. The lack of accountability is astounding. We were initially quoted around $400 for the work and when we finally got it back, it was nearly 680! They never contacted me to inform me of the additional services they were performing.

Mom's Mountaineer needed transmission service and I called all around. Well, these guys have a great reputation locally, small shop. They were honest and kept their to estimate. I'll be sending all the relatives and friends in the area to them. Get there early, 8:30am, to get the best service. Business stacks up fast for them, for good reason. Second visit, my Jeep Grand Cherokee overheated on the way out to Vegas. I had it towed to Pep Boys, as it was the weekend. Pep Boys ran an engine block test and pressure tested the cooling system. But it still overheated slowly. They wanted $600 to replace the upper radiator hose, change the thermostat and do a flush and fill of the cooling system. I waited until Monday to limp down to Leyba's to get their opinion. They confirmed what Pep Boys found. They also said there was nothing moving in or out of the radiator. The estimate was $590 for everything Pep Boys wanted to do plus a whole new radiator. So those are decent prices and they honestly assessed the situation. Eventually, I took the Jeep to a friend's place to try and fix it myself, replaced the top hose, thermostat, and filtered the coolant, all fixed. But again, the service was honest, friendly, and quick. By the way, the location on the Yelp map is incorrect the first time. Re-verify their location by calling them before try to find them. Hopefully, Yelp will make the appropriate changes. Update: I submitted the updated location and displayed hours from the storefront.

Leyba's said they "couldn't get to it yet" but let me tow it to their lot on 7/25/22. Said they had "to work on it in between jobs bc they couldn't make any money on it." After SEVENTEEN DAYS and deflecting me whenever I called, they said they couldn't diagnose or fix it. I called tow to take it to another shop. I waited on a folding chair outside their office for 2 1/2 hours for that tow. (My car was in the bay with hood up, so I couldn't see it.) Lifting onto the truck, I saw the windshield was cracked in half! Carl and Adam feigned surprise, DENIED knowing anything about it. At the new shop I discovered the car was vandalized and burglarized! Everything inside was stolen or damaged: property, windshield, RV mirror, seats, door locks) They left beer cans and a DRUG SYRINGE. Over $800 in damage. Leyba's REFUSED TO GIVE ME THEIR INSURANCE INFORMATION, saying it "doesn't cover vehicles IN THEIR LOT", and to file my own insurance. They were evasive, defensive, rude, and BLAMED ME, the victim. Thank goodness to gentlemen were there and saw it and they put a patch on it using an industrial glue and a piece of rubber and a clamp. It was enough to get us over to Gallup where we had automotive and industrial on the line ready to help us. We made it there and they called four different places looking for a new hose and no one had it. They were saying it wouldn't get there until the next day. We had three animals with us and did not want to delay. The gentleman looked underneath the van and saw that the patch had been done very well and that nothing was leaking so we took the risk and moved on. They were very polite and were very helpful and we were very appreciative for that. So even though we didn't actually have services done there, I wanted to leave a good shout out for their customer service. The lady was super nice and supportive and we appreciated that.

He hooked me up with a reasonably priced tow truck. It took a minute (5 days) to get the Jeep fixed but that was because they had to order several parts. The customer service though was above and beyond. I highly recommend this shop. Thanks again Devian and Todd!
