Located off of Los Alamitos Blvd in a large shopping strip next to Vons. Every time I come here, Im always greeted kindly, and prompt. I got a batter here and spent $200+. It died short of the 3 year warranty, brought it in and they replaced it, no questions. The guys on the floor are always knowledgeable and helpful to the extent of which they can. This is place for solving most auto problems!! However, this employee was the most outstanding ever!! Her name is Kristy. My left headlamp burned out and I told her that I might have to learn to replace it myself by watching YouTube. She said it was very easy to do then proceeded to replace (not one ... but both) headlamps in less than five minutes. I then saw that her hands and sleeves were soiled. I don't recommend this location. I recently went to buy a battery and they refused to install my new battery sighting that it was too late. They close at 9pm I was there at 8:20. So I drove home, installed the battery and returned the old one to them by 8:45. They had plenty of time to do their jobs. They were both just being lazy. Lets just start off by saying I have been going to this Autozone for 20 years. Recently I went in on a Saturday morning with my son to pick up some oil, pint and some gasket sealer. In checking out, I decided to use the "Self Check Out" I scanned all 4 things I had heard the beep, then got the prompt for employee verification due to the paint. The employee basically stood behind me and helped me input my rewards info. I then continued to check out. While the employee was still behind me. Later that day I went back to buy something else (Often go back multiple times a day). While I was looking at the sealant area, a neighbor came up and said hi, then the store manager comes up and interrupts us and asked to speak with me, "Sure what's up" I say... He then starts telling me that It seems I didn't pay for something earlier when checking out at self check out, says the guy who was helping me watched me steel something, I say ok, lets figure this out, maybe your self check out messed up, he then started shouting at me, telling me that I stole an item because it failed to be scanned and I didn't catch it. Pay for the stuff or I'm calling the cops. I'm like "For sure man 100% lets figure it out and I'll pay for what ever" You're banned for life, you just admitted you stole it, get the F**K out of my store he says... And yes of coarse at that point I was pretty pissed this guy is calling me a thief Seriously, I have never had anything negative to say about this store, but after that crap, the blatant disrespect from the store manager, and the false accusations over a simple mistake, that should have been caught by the employee that was helping in self check out in the first place... This place is terrible, over $12 they insulted me and my character. As if I'd theft anything, let alone while I have my sons to set example for. I should file lawsuit. read more

I had a really great experience here. I called ahead and asked if they had my car's battery in stock and they did. Verifying this was very quick and i was given all of my options that they had in stock, with warranty. When I arrived, I was helped by Johnson. He was very pleasant and not only answered my questions but tested my battery, told me that my cords were loose, replaced my battery, and let me ask questions while I watched him change it since I've never done it myself. The guys at this store have been so helpful for every single automotive need that I have had. They even install the parts for you if it's quick & easy. Stopped by this store about 3-4 times in the last few weeks, and every single person who works here is eager to help, knowledgeable, always produce the correct part for my vehicle (which is more than I can say for NAPA) Anyway, yesterday one of my headlamps went out on my 2015 Ford Explorer XLT, and I was expecting the replacement lamp to be expensive, and I have never swapped out a headlamp before.... Nathan found the right replacement element, and installed it for free, and my total cost was $20.00. These guys are good.... world-class service, exceeded my expectations time & time again. If I could give no stars, I would! Purchased a battery November 12 at the Colton location and got a receipt emailed to me. Trying to install the battery on Monday the 15th. I opened up the box only to find her used battery inside the box with a warranty tag from AutoZone with a different customers information , which included the name and phone number and reference number from AutoZone. I took the battery to another AutoZone in Seal Beach and told them that inside the box was a use battery. I pulled up the email that had the transaction number the receipt number in the barcode that had all the information. The counterman said that he can't do anything for me because I didn't purchase it at his store. He was unwilling to exchange it, or warrantee it because it didn't come from his store. So you can't warrantee any item at AutoZone unless you go to the original store purchase. I called the store in Colton and tried to give them to the transaction number and they couldn't look it up without a register number, according to the manager on duty, my only recourse is to dispute the charge because I'm not gonna drive 80 miles to pick up another battery from the Colton location. My advice for you to stay away from AutoZone. read more

When I walked in today, Pat greeted me and asked what I was looking for? I wasn't sure of the particular light, so he went out to my car to help me decide which to get. Never do business with this store. Poor customer service. I came here with my fiance Saturday evening to get a battery. We said we could install it ourselves but the employee, Chrissy kindly insisted they would do it as a complimentary service. As she was changing the battery, she dropped the bottom piece that holds the bottom of the battery cover secure. She tried but could not retrieve it and then another associate came out and said they are closing and I would have to try to retrieve the part myself or take it to a dealership and that we would need to leave. So the complimentary service then turned into a costly issue for me because the next morning I opened my hood and found that in addition to the part dropped, the cover and air filtration piece was not secured properly and lodged itself behind my engine and then burned and welded onto my engine. Fumes were now coming into my car with the terrible plastic burning smell. I called to talk to the store manager, Pat and explained what happened. He put me on hold and told me that the associate that was helping me said "she said that YOU dropped it." I was told it is a " he said she said situation." Then he proceeded to tell me that what they do is a complimentary service and is it "drivable"? I said no it is not safe to drive but thankfully I live around the corner from a dealership. I had to call out of work to go get their mistake fixed and add another cost that I did not need to spend especially since we are getting married in a week. Since, I have been talked down to and no sympathy has been expressed for this situation. I understand mistakes happen but I do not appreciate being lied about because I did not touch any parts during the process for the battery exchange. I am now waiting to be reimbursed for the labor and parts due to the damages caused to my car. read more
