Despite being a major repair - a new hybrid battery for a Prius - Jeremy and his crew took care of everything in just over two days. As always, they kept me abreast of the work, and gave me a variety of options for the part to fit my budget. As a former Carbondale resident who had taken my previous car to them many times, the added peace of mind in taking my car to someone who had always done right by me in the past made what could have been a major headache much better. While I was broken down last week in a parking lot (my ignition cylinder broke), I called to ask if someone could come out to help me hot wire my car as I did not have the tools in the parking lot to do it myself. While I was on the phone, the man doubted my diagnosis and tried saying it could've been from a chipped key. He further stated that in order for him to come out and "diagnose" my car and to help me start it to move to a different location, he was going to charge me $125. I didn't see the purpose in having someone come out to the parking lot to tell me a diagnosis that I already knew, and I didn't need it moved anywhere as I was in a parking lot and not on the side of the road. The man on the phone was not friendly, and he acted like I didn't know what I was talking about (I am a woman living in a man's world apparently!) He told me he would call me back in 5 minutes after he researched what would've needed to be done & he never even called me back. Thankfully, I have a great village of people down here in Carbondale who were able to assist me with the proper tools to get it hot wired.
