First off it seems lately all parts from Auto zone either don't fit correctly or when they do they end up being defective. STAY AWAY FROM AUTO ZONE! Company is owned by the same owner that destroyed Sears. Obviously this guy doesn't care about anything. Wasn't to bad, ran in to get some motor oil and antifreeze. I was in and out within five minutes. Employees were really nice, and did a great job. Why only two stars, you might ask? For a person who doesn't overreact on this covid thing. I'm getting tired of seeing establishments not enforcing their own guidelines. We've been lucking here in Arizona. We really haven't had a long major lock down. However if we keep playing these games. We're going to lose out and end up being locked down. So through a series of goof ups, we ended up having the wrong battery delivered to our house, then when we tried to fix the situation the order was somehow forgotten. We called the Rittenhouse location and were put in touch with Jack Reudy. He went above and beyond. He told us he'd make the situation right and he did. Drove the battery all the way to San Tan Valley and then installed it for us in 108 degree heat. Super, super friendly and informative to us and patient. If this guy hasn't gotten a raise yet, he needs one, and I am NOT easy to please...just look at my reviews on here! read more

I went to the new AutoZone in Ellsworth Rd in Queen Creek. It's so new it doesn't show on yelp. All I will say is I know why I usually go O Reilly. Three people working but no one knows what they are doing. Terrible customer experience. I gave Auto Zone another chance but I'll be sticking with O Reillys from now on. read more

OMG! My battery died at the new Trader Joe's in Queen Creek and couldn't start my car with over $300 worth of food in my car and 8:30pm. After Bruce at Trader Joe's helped me jump my car, I went to Auto Zone where Oscar and the manager stayed open for me because it was after 9pm. They were so incredibly nice and were such a life saver! I was in and out in about 10 minutes!! Another gentlemen drive up after me and Oscar and the manger helped him too! AMAZING service. I go to Autozone regularly for parts for our 4 car fleet ( lots of cars for the kids et al ). The staff is always super helpful and is helpful - no matter whether a profit motive or not . Today I went in with an ABS brake issue - and the staff was willing to use their code reader at no charge to help diagnose the issue ... the results came back and I was able to determine what needed to be replaced ... quickly and easily. The free OBD code diagnostic is great. Robert was the BEST. Ran the code from my van in the computer and took me out to show me what was the problem. In no time I had a new hose to fix the problem and saved a TON of money. My son and I were able to spend some time fixing the van together. Much better than paying hundreds of dollars for diagnostics and repair. Went back a couple of days later for new filters that we noticed were in need of changing. read more

I am a single woman who bought a new battery for my truck at AutoZone one year ago and this week it went dead in my garage. After getting a jump from a neighbor, I drove to the Queen Creek AutoZone on Rittenhouse with my receipt, expecting a replacement battery. They tested it twice and told me that there was nothing wrong with my battery. They told me they could replace it, but that they didn't feel that it would fix the problem. I was able to drive to Gilbert to my mechanic of 30 years. He tested the same battery and told me the battery was the problem. He took the defective battery to AutoZone with my receipt where they didn't talk him out of replacing it. He installed the replacement and now my truck is running the way it's supposed to. I don't think that AutoZone's warranty is worth the paper it's written on, and now I have a bill to my mechanic for his time and energy spent on my behalf. That, however, may be some of the best money I've spent in the last year. I do not recommend AutoZone. They're parts store, not a service store. read more

I ordered the incorrect battery and had it delivered via Uber. I called another location closer to my house to ask if they had the correct battery. They assured me they did, so I went online bought it for same day delivery. It was over 3 hours (the window they said for delivery) so I called and they said they didn't have the battery...but the Rittenhouse location did. So I called them & spoke with Jack who assured me he'd take care of it. He actually delivered me the battery & installed it! He was so kind and really took control of the situation. 5 stars for the Rittenhouse location for me! read more

I am a transplant from SoCal and new to the area. Naturally I look for the stores I am familiar with and that have been good to me in the past. For 25 years AutoZone has been one of those stores. They carry a variety of good products and honor their product guarantees without question. The AutoZone closest to my new house is the Rittenhouse store. I have found the employees there to be helpful and courteous. If you go into a store with some experience and research with what you want to accomplish then the chance of having a good experience is much greater - but not guaranteed ;-) Over the past 6 months I have replaced brakes, a timing chain, a cylinder head, wheel bearings, spark plugs, light bulbs and other miscellaneous items on one of my cars, all purchased from AutoZone. I have also purchased or used their tool loan program to accomplish those projects. As for me, I am very satisfied and will continue to use AutoZone because of the cumulative positive past experiences with the company. read more

So I looked up the closest auto zone and went there. I'm so glad I did! Connor was great! He was able to check my battery to confirm that was the problem and then change out my battery for me. Went in to return a motorcycle battery, the managers first reply was "sorry, it's past it's warranty." My initial response was to point out that most motorcycle owners and mechanics have rated Duralast aka dura-crap, as a worthless problem riddled motorcycle battery. I went back after I gave myself some time to adjust and shop for other items, and returned to point out it's the 5th time in 18 months this battery has had to be replaced. After some exchange, they decided to replace the battery - to their credit. I would still warn EVERYONE to get a different motorcycle battery- Shorai, Western Sports, BatteryMaster, or anything else with similar ratings: it's worth the extra money! read more

With a courtesy installation of a battery, the first battery placed in my vehicle was undervoltage, 8.4 volts. This defective battery caused all of the electronic modules to appear faulty. Once a battery with 12 volts was placed in the vehicle, I was able to start it. However, the installation was careless, and the cables got crossed, and my main fuse block was damaged. The damaged fuse block caused the vehicle to give intermittent falses errors, but worst of all, the car died twice while driving. The temperature here was 111 degrees Fahrenheit, and my wife was stranded. Thanks to good samaritans, she was able to get home safely. I reported this issue to AutoZone and got the typical bring this part in; we will second guess the failure and not reimburse you for repair cost or the danger of being stranded in traffic. AutoZone seems to have a quality purchasing problem. Item cost is not as important as functionality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Be careful with their service and parts. read more

I would like to thank this store for being no help to me at all. I walked in and asked a guy at the register if someone could help me cause I know NOTHING about cars. He proceeded to tell me he'd have someone help me cause he "couldn't leave the register". I waited and finally another associate asked if I needed help. I told him my car is overheating and could he please come show me where I need to put the engine coolant. He looked around like as if I had asked him an impossible question but then he reluctantly came outside with me. I popped the trunk, he showed me where, and then helped me to purchase the engine coolant I needed and gave me a funnel. I then asked him to come hold open the hood of my car, as it will not stay open on it's own, and again he looked around like he wanted to find something else to do. I wasn't asking him to do the work on my car just hold the hood for 30 seconds while I pour the fluid in. He reluctantly came out to help cause holding the hood open and pouring the fluid would've taken three hands unless I wanted to hold hood open with my head and burn the hair off in the 100 degree AZ heat. He was out there for 1 minute and the guy who earlier told me he couldn't leave the register LEFT THE REGISTER TO COME GET HIM. I ended up having to find some way to make all this work. Regardless, I'll be going to Pep Boys or O'Reilly's from now on like I used to cause they have always helped me with everything. read more

I normally have a great experience but this time the sales guy offered to help me find my light. I found backup lamp part #3156 Sylvania for my 2wd 2007 Mercury Mariner but he said the part was 921 Sylvania. I didn't question him bc he works there. I came home to install the bulb and it was too small. Grrr. Hoping they will exchange it for the correct size even though I opened the package so that I could easily grab it when I removed the old bulb. read more

If I can give this a NO STAR then I would, this autozone has horrible customer service. The associates there have the worse attitude. For the good amount of time I was there no one asked if they can assist me. When I finally had a question to ask no one was to be found all the workers were hanging around in the front where the registers are at acting like true fools. I also could not tell who was a worker & who was not, they were not wearing any proper attire. Anyways I asked a simple question about two emergency lug nut removers I had seen & if it could be a possible match to the lug nuts on my car, he straight out told me "nope none of those.." & did not proceed to look anything up for me. Then I had asked about the return policy & he rudely answered that once I took off the tag that I could not later return it.
