I don't have an ignition coil on my car. I bought the wires, changed them, came back to have another diagnosis. A different employee helped me, and this time I asked him for a rotor and distributor cap. He quoted me around $270. I held back my laughter, and asked if they had anything else at maybe a different location. He suddenly found something for 90, but couldn't get it in until Tuesday. I went home, logged on to Amazon, found the two parts I need, and it will be at my home today (Tuesday); I paid less than $25 for Bosch parts, which is a brand I trust. All-in-all, I recommend going to the auto zone in Cheviot if you need helpful advice, and Amazon for the parts you need.

My son's car was sent over to this Pep Boys location from the auto-body shop was at because there…read morewas a leak in the air conditioner. My son picked up his car last night and while driving the car the high temperature light came on and the same light was on today when he drove to work . He started to drive home from work and the light was still on and defroster was not working so he was not able to drive the car safely as it was raining. He moved the temperature from a/c to heat and it was blowing out cold air, so cold that he could see his breath. Now we had to have it towed to another shop as I would NEVER go back or recommend this PepBoys. When I called to let the shop manager know he lied to me and said that they just put Freon in the a/c but when I told him that the auto shop that had the part that Pep Boys needed to repair the a/c the shop manager then started to tell me that "well the only piece we put". That was enough for me to hear as he just admitted unknowingly that he lied to me. I hung up the phone because he was not going to admit the fact that they screwed up my son's a/c electrical system. They had his car from Saturday early afternoon and if they were just putting Freon on why have it until after 5pm on Monday? I was also told on Saturday when I called that they were trying to find the leak in the a/c so yeah guy get your lies straight !!!

This review is long over due, but much deserved. I have taken my fiances' car to this pep boys…read morenumerous times. I live almost two hours from her and it feels good to have a company that is close to her that I can trust to finish the job and get her back on the road safely. Bruce and Joe are detailed in their description of repairs and I always know what is to be repaired and the cost. We have been in many times and their level of service is the same everytime, so I expect NOTHING less. They also ensure the service is expedited and she is without her ONLY means of transportation for the shortest time possible. Jerry has taken the time to explain repairs and even takes us out to the shop to show us exactly what/where the problems is. I have brought this car in for routine work (oil changes, tires, wheel alignments) and more serious problems (gas line leaks, rusty gas tank, fuel injectors). Each time the problem was fixed and I could rest easy knowing she was in good hands. One of the things that I like most is the pep boys rewards. I am about my money and I love it when my money makes money!! We signed up for the rewards and for each dollar spent, you earn points and get vouchers (equivalent as cash) to use on anything in the store...including service and parts. We used the tow service once and as a rewards member, they took $10 off the tow. They send out monthly coupons and we take advantage of the oil changes for $19.99. Ken has worked on the car the most and I trust and value his experience and dedication to fix the problem. Ken and Adam replaced the gas tank and fixed the brake line. Not to mention, they told me that they wouldn't leave until the job was finished and stayed WAY past closing. Where else can you get that kind of service? We trusted Andy to inspect the car when a strong smell of raw gas was invading the car. He identified the problem and wrote a fair estimate to repair the fuel injectors. (They even price matched the fuel injectors from another auto part store). Dan replaced the fuel injectors and completed the job faster than the estimate time. Billy is very knowledgeable about vehicle repairs and goes over the costs in detail. He lets me view the computer and I know there are no secret added on charges. Lastly, we have Robby and Kyle at check in and check out. They provide good customer service with a smile. When I move my fiance to KY after we get married, we will truly miss this place!!! I shop the Delhi location on a regular basis. The place is usually clean, well stocked and friendly employees. My review today is based on their advertisement of "free recycling". The past three times I've brought in my used oil, I am immediately told their containers are full, and to bring it back next week. Kinda inconvenient, as I don't plan to just recycle my old oil and walk out. I buy almost $50 in new synthetic oil every time, plus other items. The employee could have just said to put it on the "empty cart" and get my new oil. I know it's a large company and will not care or even miss out my purchases. So I'm done giving them my business. I decided to drive down the street to the competition and I recycled my old oil and bought all my new stuff without any hassle. That's the way it will be for here on out.
