They spent some time with it during the day, did a full diagnostic, identified it as a coolant temperature sensor and gasket, and fixed it. The price was fair, the service took less than a day and they were super communicative with me and just great to work with. I have one other mechanic I like in the neighborhood who rarely answers his phone, this place is just a good old shop that answers calls, does the work, and gives you the straight story. The owner, Tom, seemed like a very nice man at first, but after dealing with him, I've found him to be dishonest and less than honorable. In the end, I successfully sued the garage in Cleveland Heights Court. Perhaps this is a great garage for everyone but me. but I would never send anyone I know there.

My wife took her car here to have some belts replaced, which seemed to go off without a hitch. However, after driving a few miles afterward, the car completely died. Seems that the alternator miraculously gave out, and garage refused responsibility. So we forked over some more green to have it towed back and alternator replaced as well. Flash forward about a year and a half, and the belts are squealing just as bad as before we took it to Cedar Taylor. Now I find out that the shoddy installation of the alternator caused a bolt to strip and alternator to come out of place, leading to more squealing. Bottom line: Cedar Taylor practices poor workmanship and refuses to take responsibility for their errors. Stay away from Cedar Taylor garage.

I recently required some brake work to be done before heading home to Rochester. After about 45…read moreminutes Bill called me and told me what the problem was and quoted a price for the work. 20 minutes later he called and told me about another problem that he had initially failed to detect. In addition, he was 10% off on the price that he quoted me for the additional work. Finally, upon my return home to Rochester, my mechanic pointed out damage that Bill had caused that will cost $200 to repair. Bill has been disingenuous and completely unwilling to accept responsibility for what has been done. In my view, he is neither honest nor competent.
