Can't complain about a thing. A couple weeks ago I was left stranded on the side of the road with a dead battery. After a friendly stranger gave me a jump, I called this AutoZone in Hooksett during the evening - about an hour before closing - and a guy named Stephen there, understanding my situation, told me to swing the car by. I purchased a new battery and he installed it right there in front of me. It was no more than 20 minutes and I was on my way. Quick, professional and reliable... Auto Zone is a pretty good auto parts store! I usually find what I need here and the staff is very helpful in finding parts in stock based on year, make and model of the vehicle. On request, a staff member will also follow you to your vehicle to see what part(s) you may need. They stock plenty of oil, coolants, cleaners, batteries, tools, gauges, kits, bulbs, lights, fuses, seat covers, mats, electronics, accessories, and other auto supplies. The prices are competitive and in line with other auto parts stores in the area including Advance, VIP, and Bond. Recently, I picked up a good tire pressure gauge here for $5.99. While checking out, the salesperson also offered me fuel treatment cleaner on sale, but I was all set! If I could give 0 stars I would. Yesterday, I visited auto zone to get a replacement battery for my car. One of the workers was kind and checked my battery for me. He proceeded to tell me I was correct and did in fact need a new battery. It was not until a separate employee Nick stepped in and told the other worker he would grab the correct battery. As he was ringing me up, the battery cost about $270 and while this transaction happening, Nick told me that they could not install the battery for me because they needed a "special tool" and my car was "too new". I have a 2017 Buick.... he told me a shop up the street can install it for about $20. I left with the battery and becoming suspicious after calling another auto shop and them telling me something completely different. I walked back into the store and immediately was glared at by this man. He looked away, grabbed his phone, and sent a text before helping me. When I told him I wanted to return the battery, he asked no questions as to why. I then asked him if the battery he sold me was my only option. Flustered, he kept telling me I needed a special battery. I said okay, and left. Today, I went to oreilly,s explained to them what happened and they said that they see this happen a lot, sold me a battery half the price and installed graciously. You lost a customer and I will make sure everyone in this town knows you ripped off and were to lazy to help a mother with an infant son. SHAME ON YOU. read more

We stopped to rent some tools and buy a battery. After getting some work done on the car we were double checking everything under the hood. The Manager Greg came out to make sure all was well. He also helped out with the battery and even realized it wasn't level in its spot, which could have cause an issue down the road, and made sure it was in place properly. Thanks so much! read more

I went in last night in order to get a lightbulb for my car. I knew exactly what I needed, however there was no greeting as I walked in the store. There were three men standing behind the counters and just stared at me until I spoke the first word. After I found what I needed and went to check out, again no one looked up from what they were doing and I had to stop and ask if anyone on registers was open. I'm completely unimpressed. They were rude when they were speaking and I overheard sexist comments that could have been directed at me. 10/10 do not recommend. I will not be shopping here anymore. read more

Not busy and lots of guys there. Needed some stuff and never asked me if I needed help or anything. And really never cared. Sad.

Bought motor oil for oil changes on 2 cars here on Saturday, 08/31/2019. Went back on Monday, 08/02/2019 (labor day) to return the used motor oil. Store wouldn't accept it. Claimed they smelled the oil and it smelled contaminated. It's not. The used oil came out of the cars and was poured directly back into the containers that the new oil came in. Terrible experience. It wouldn't have been a problem at Pep Boys. I have shopped at Autozone for years but never will again. Autozone has permanently lost me as a customer. read more
