Unique because of the personal service they give. The guys at Townsend Auto Electric are very helpful and knowledgeable. Recently I needed to buy an air control valve for my car and I had a price of $347 from the dealer. I went to Townsend because they've always done a computer search to help me find parts that were more reasonably priced. I walked out the door after paying $219 for the same part. They saved me $122! That's impressive! I've also bought parts for my classic car there! They sold me chrome lug nuts that I couldn't find anywhere else. And guess what? They have them in stock! I highly recommend the store for your automotive needs! Try it out... And save a chunk of change and remember... You'll always get service with a smile!

Not only do these guys do it, it's $25 each, which is a great deal. New rotors would have cost me over $100 each, so big savings. While the chain stores have a bunch of younger guys with a little bit of training, the guys that work here know what they are doing, and they've been doing it a long time. I'm glad these guys are here in my town, and I hope they stick around for a long time.

Let me just preface this review by stating that I've been to numerous auto parts stores over the course of my 25 years on this earth. While their prices aren't the best of the best, Kragen has something that most other auto parts shops don't have. A store in just about every city you can imagine. No, seriously. If your town has more than 10,000 inhabitants, it's likely that there's a Kragen. Or if not, then it's probably in the town over. I was able to special order parts I needed overnight with no hassle. Nick, the store manager, was incredibly knowledgeable, helped me find the best priced parts that would arrive most quickly, and was kind enough to throw in a courtesy 10% discount. When I showed up 30 minutes before close later that day to cancel my order, he stayed even though his shift was over, to personally attend to my needs. That's truly the definition of customer service.

My jeep was done by my requested time…read more This is a general complaint against the pricing policy of this dealership, Ford and Chevy as they are owned by the same person. Let me give you the facts: 1) the air filter: there are two hex bolts to be removed and there are four fasteners(hinges) to be undone. Labor: 50.00 dollars Air filter; 35.12 dollars On Amazon: air filter- 18 bucks- I picked the most expensive one. 2) Corrosion on negative battery: this is a good one as I have done work on my own before using a batter terminal wire brush. All you to is twist the brush clockwise and counterclockwise a few times to remove the corrosion. Use a vacuum to suck up the mess. Labor: 125 dollars Parts: 37.16 dollars(using Amazon: CRC terminal protector cost about 18 bucks for the WHOLE can. What did I get?- a few squirts here and there. 3) Brake flush: I actually done that my self- it was not easy for me. So, I will not complain about this service, but I feel IMHO that the charge was on the high side: 386.50 dollars. 4) the driver side windshield wiper blade; I am just stating the facts here: In the early morning there was heavy dew. I used my wipers and they performed as normal. And I was watching them closely for abnormal streaks-none. I get a report that the driver side wiper was ripped apart. I decided to replace it myself as I carry spare wipers in my emergency box. I had to ask for a quote for replacing the blade. I cannot imagine what the dealer would charge for labor and replacement blade. Victor was a very professional and courteous as I brought up labor work/charge on cleaning the battery terminals. I deducted one star for labor prices.
