Cannot say enough about the amazing team at Autumn's Custom Catering! My first experience with their services was when my husband had experienced a recurrence of cancer...our twins were 8 at the time, and cooking was the LAST thing on my mind. Beloved co-workers familiar with Autumn's ordered an incredible array of prepared meals for us that were ALL delicious...and deemed "yummy" by the whole family. Not only that, they were delivered with compassion and kindness. As a result, my office employed Autumn's to cater a few lunches, and just recently, we asked them to provide a few catered meals for a co-worker confronting cancer in her family. I contacted Autumns Custom catering to do a bridal shower about a month out. Ms Claudine was very nice, responded to me immediately and was awesome with getting me a menu and quote for our event. The prices were reasonable and the menu options were perfect for what we wanted. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a small business in RVA. read more

In the beginning, Autumn's catering was a pleasure to work and assisting us with any questions and concerns that we had.They spoke of their services highly. They were flexible in our date change and checked in every step of the way prior to the event. However the day of the event, they were late to the venue arriving shortly before the ceremony began. I was not pleased with the set up of the food. It wasnt as pleasing to the eye that I thought it would be. We had a baked potato bar that reminded me of cafeteria line opposed to an actual event set up that I have seen at other receptions. They ran out of cups at the bar (in which we asked prior to would they enough for the night). Overall, I was not as pleased as I thought I would be for this company, and have not heard from the company since the day of. read more

RE: Wilkinson Family Reunion - August 14, 2010 Dear Ms. Johnson, This letter is being written to express the extreme dissatisfaction of the food services provided to my family by Autumn's Custom Catering & Event Planning, LLC, on Saturday, August 14, 2010. As one "Black Business Woman" to another "Black Business Woman," I was truly disappointed and appalled by the food and services provided under our contract for the monies paid to your company by my family in the amount of One Thousand Six Hundred Sixteen Dollars and Twenty Cents ($1,616.20). I am in receipt of your E-mail dated August 16, 2010, and, yes, "My Family" enjoyed themselves, but, again, disappointed with the food provided. The check you issued me on Saturday for the "shortness of fish," in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) did not make me feel comfortable with your services - and is now being held as proof of breach of contract on the part of Autumn's Custom Catering & Event Planning, LLC. Also this amount is now not satisfactory due to the egregiousness regarding the rest of the Menu. It is assumed that most items were purchased at wholesale from "Murry's Steak, Inc." and not freshly hand prepared as advertised. Autumn catering did a wedding reception for me on Oct. 11th. A very deceiving business, that you would definitely WANT to not try. The website is a false advertising setup . I paid a nice penny for this catering service which used $1 aluminum trays on the food, ran out of cups within an hour in half into the reception. The food table and cake table (baker was part of the caterer, be careful) was not set up pleasing to the eyes at all. Have visited the office and telehoned, but haven't gotten a response either way. Office was closed with a false (lying) sign on the door. Be back at 10:30 and it was 11:30 I was at their office door. Telephone message was also a lie. Unprofessional, not appeasing. Be careful in selecting this catering service and the baker (LaBelle's) unless you want dry and not dry very dry (cake, & cupcakes). Awful. Hope this will save someone some dollars.
