We had a lot of fun and made some really delicious food! The classroom space itself is large, with multiple prep areas, storage, and teaching table. There is a dining table that seated twelve (our class was 10.) You are greeted with water and the option to purchase beer or wine by the glass or bottle. After a quick walk through you form teams of three or four and set about preparing the entire menu (in other words, it is NOT one station prepping the main course while another group is limited to boiling pasta.) All the mis-en-place has been set out so all the measuring is already done, but the rest is hands on mixing, cooking, plating, etc. The instructor orally delivers instructions and walks around to catch anything going astray. The class was two hours long. Our menu was on the theme "Italian Classics." Items to be prepared were Chicken Piccata, Artichoke Bruschetta, Bucatini in Creamy Pecorino Sauce, and Chocolate Budino. I won't review the food -- it would be a review of our own cooking -- but I will say that preparing it was easy with guidance and tasted absolutely delicious! Each work group eats their own prepared food but at a communal table. The crew also boxes up anything extra that is left from your prep., like extra bruschetta topping or leftover pasta, to be divided up as each work group sees fit. And I didn't have to wash dishes! My wife is the chef in the family, I am never going to cook at her level. But this class was not beyond my abilities and made me completely at ease. Can't wait to go back for other classes here!

Get them involved in cooking young so they can help in the kitchen later. Anyhow they made cinnamon and sugar dog shaped bones (for ppl not made for dogs). They gathered flour in a cup. Idk u gwt a huge cupful thats overflowing and to tap it three times to get air pockets out and then go across it with a knife or something similar to get rid of extra flour and get a nice evening cup of flour. They loved that and my 4 year old ended up with flour all over her pants. SHE REALLY GOT INTO IT. LOL. Then to complete the dog biscuits they rolled dough, pressed the dog shaped biscuit cookie cutter into the dough and added a few swipes of butter to coat it and added a pinch of cinnamon and sugar and since its just a,short class, they let them try samples of them they had already baked. Next station was strawberries with mascapone icing. They used a straw to push out the stem and then cut it in half and added icing. Oh man think that was the favorite station for all three of my kiddos. My 4 year old was like, "mmmm." Hehe. The other two kids inhaled it without much talking which means it was agreeable to their sometimes fussy pallets. You know how kids are if ur a parent or nanny. FUSSY. LOL. NEXT and final station was biscuit/croissant making. It was equivalent to making Pillsbury dough biscuits but way cooler. They told them ingredients used to make dough, played with flour and made a cup of flour again as before, rolled out dough again, rolled into a small crossaint, buttered it and added spices to it. If there has been time to make it they would have done something for 8 mins I think. Idk what temperature tho. They tried yet another sample. Seriously I can't rave about this place enough. Staff was amazing. The bakers/employees hired are professional to be on TV, super helpful and FUN. They have cooking classes for like $30/kid or $99 for monthly classes I think she said. Not sure of exactly details but that's what I gathered. Take your kids there, you won't regret it and your kids will love it!!!!

We were very excited for a cooking class to learn new recipes that we could cook together. I am a very inexperienced cook and was looking forward to learning on how to cook the meals on the advertisement and leaving feeling confident that I learned something new and could prepare at least one of the dishes. Instead, we showed up and weren't greeted at all. We had to ask another class member how to sign in because the instructor was no where to be found. There was no guidance and the "instructor" (using this term incredibly loosely) told the large group to pick a station and get started. Everyone seemed confused by this but walked around and found a recipe. Every station was lacking ingredients and utensils so we could not complete our tasks without walking around aimlessly looking for the right ingredient or measuring cup, etc. (Again, no guidance from the instructor). About 30 minutes into cooking, the "instructor" told the group of 10+ people to switch to a new station. This wasn't structured at all and people in the class just meandered around and said "I guess I'll do this now. No idea where the last person left off though." My wife and I took over a task preparing Asian Fried Chicken. After following the recipe provided by the "iNsTrUcToR", she came over and said it was still raw and walked away with no further instructions. We immediately used a meat thermometer showing that the internal temp was above 165 degrees and not in fact raw, making me seriously doubt the qualifications of our "iNsTrUcToR". After completing this part of the recipe, we noticed a number of other participants just standing around. My wife asked the instructor "Do you have a task I can complete, something I can help with?" and the instructor simply walked away. After completing the recipes - the food was fine. No complaints about the quality of the food - but this isn't the point of a "cooking CLASS". I spoke with 5/6 of the attendees in this class and they were clearly annoyed with the false advertising and lack of instruction and audibly complained throughout the "class" about having no instruction, no guidance, and learning nothing. (Rightfully so). There were a number of other beginners in the class and they seemed checked out because they had no idea what to do, didn't receive feedback, and there was no structure. The common theme after speaking with the attendees was that they thought this would be an instructional event where you can leave learning something (a new skill, a new recipe, literally anything). The only thing I left with was a few jokes about how terrible this experience was. if this was advertised as 15 people getting together to cook prepared recipes with no guidance, that would be accurate. If you want to cook something new - google it and try it yourself. You'll save $85 and get the same experience.

I have never taken a cooking class and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You split into partners/groups and make an assigned dish. At the end, the dishes are served at the dining table where you eat with your fellow classmates. All the ingredients are ready at every station and the recipe is printed. Everyone in my class was open to people floating around different stations, which was nicer than only sticking to the assigned dish. It was pretty chaotic with one chef running around trying to ensure 13 people weren't ruining any dishes for everyone but I think that's just a typical kitchen.
