    Lentil salad with pike ceviche
    Dave T.

Excellent preparation and subtle flavors along with gentil service earns its Michelin star, but it didn't wow and was pretty expensive so I can't give it five stars. We loved the "silk workers brains", a sweet and sour cheese dip, the lentil salad and our two entrees. But the desserts were a bit underwhelming and what I thought was going to be a cheese plate turned out to be a single very light white cheese/yogurt. We both had lunch menus, and the a la carte diners did seem to have more exciting preparations. So, ymmv.

Absolutely phenomenal... food and service. Every course was properly executed and delicious. The service could not have been better. Attentive staff, wine suggestions and this was just for lunch! Definitely would return.

Another Alain Ducasse favorite. This brasserie dates back to 1892. The exterior is unpretentious. The tiles and decor in the restaurant are very unique and beautiful. You are transformed to a little bistro in Lyon. My waiter was very attentive and charming. Exceptional wine list. The presentation of my meal was perfectly executed. The lettuce soup was delicate and delicious. My entire meal was a fabulous experience! www.auxlyonnais.com

We went there as a family with a ravenous appetite and were sorely disappointed. Out of 7 different entrees ordered by each of us, only one was truly superb. The red leaf lettuce salad with walnut vinaigrette tasted almost stale. The special of the day -- the line caught pollack with girolles was skewed toward salty and I found it unbalanced that way. The lamb was tough. Even the floating island was deceiving in looks. It was just all so unremarkable. To top it off, we were barely done with dessert when the maître d handed us our check and said "I'll just leave this here for when you're ready". We were slightly offended but decided to let the meal take it's course. He returned to ask if we'd like to take our tea upstairs. Obviously there were others waiting to Have a table but we were simply not done and did not appreciate bring rushed. Though a casual place, we were aghast that this would be allowed in an Alain Ducasse establishment.

Excellent food and service. Ordered from 34 Euro lunch menu: chicken and mushroom terrine, rabbit fricassee with artichokes and olives, Saint Marcellin cheese and of course good French wine by the glass. All customers French and all servers spoke English! Fine Lyonnaise bistro near Opera.

Luca was my server and he was very welcoming in hospitable to this weary traveler. I sat on the patio towards the end of the row so I could take in the atmosphere and people watch a bit. Luca Recommended a meal with a mashed potatoes and sausage with French bread and salad and it sounded tasty so I gave it a go! All the flavors went well together; mashed potatoes were well seasoned the sausage had a good flavor, and the salad with the vinaigrette added a crunch in an extra flavor as well. I drank a French hard cider while I gobbled up my meal, which also was new for me and tasted great after I was done my meal. Luke brought me a shot with rum and some other ingredients, including lemon that definitely hit the spot after a good meal.I recommend Brasserie Belanger for anyone near GDN Train Station that enjoys great food and patio dining. Cheers!

The restaurant itself isn't small, but really not big, so it's definitely worthwhile to make a reservation at least a week or so on advance, otherwise you're pushing your luck. Everyone ordered steak frites (2 rump steak, 2 flank) and no one was disappointed. Steaks were cooked to order, although medium here in France is more like medium rare in the States, just be advised. The restaurant itself is lively and fun with lots of chatting, laughing and good times being shared. Desserts were Crème Brûlée and Apple Crumble, neither of which were disappointing. We definitely enjoyed our dinner and would likely return again. This time with a reservation made well in advance.

Throughout our trip from Provence, Basque Country and Paris, I joked that they must hate me for ordering my beef med b/c it was so much tougher compared to our beef. Anyway, it's just different. We ate too much. It's a lot of food to split the cote de boeuf btn two. Comes with very good chubby fries and 3 sauces. TBH, I didn't love the sauces. Luckily we walked 6miles that day and skipped lunch. Started with a garden salad, but sadly we had no room for dessert. Reservations via email. Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. WHAT HAPPENED? Are all these reviews fake? Most likely, they underwent new ownership right when we visited. But new visitors -- please beware. Do not trust any of the reviews before mine. The free Cote du Rhône glass was appreciated for check-in! Our server had his head permanently at a 30 degree angle, staring at his mobile. Tis a shame. But he was friendly ( oh, and easy on the eyes). I liked the quiet location out of the chaotic fray, like up the street, with all its smoking and volume. PS This is lover's type of location. Even the dark end of the small street feels illicit!
