Long story but let's just say there was immediate need to get in the house!!! (No, it's not what you think). Called Seth Green, the owner who said he could be there within 45 minutes. And he was! He started his magic right away and resolved the issue by drilling out a lock, replacing with a new cylinder keyed to existing key, and cleaned up the mess. It was a pleasure to talk with him as he worked. Such a nice, honest, and fair guy! For an emergency call on a Sunday I was expecting a very high price. I was shocked how reasonable he was. As he mentioned, it's his business, been doing it for a while, and likes to treat people fairly. I think he does just that. His card is in my stack of preferred vendors. Mike of Avallone's Lock & Key provided excellent service. He responded immediately to my calls and texts and arrived at my home promptly. I have a complex multi point locking system that is obsolete. Mike came to my home, took the locking system apart, took measurements, reassembled and did research to try and find parts. He came back to my home to try and fix the locking system with aftermarket springs. The springs did not quite workout. Mike reassembled the lock and laid out an option for replacement of the existing system with a conventional deadbolt and locking knob system, showing me pictures of a recent, similar project and how the installation would look (good). The pricing was reasonable and the turnaround time to install was very quick. The existing locking system still works (not smoothly) and we decided to live with it as is for now. There was no sales pressure and Mike said to call him if it fails without charging me for his time and home visits. Mike was a pleasure to work with.
