After being on the road all morning and fairly hungry, we were happy to have an hour or so to kill before our flight home. Yes, Avalon is basically your only option at this airport. Bear in mind - this is a tiny airport. But a great one (review on to follow). We were quickly welcomed and sat ourselves. The waiter took our order and drinks came out quickly as did the food. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup (cold, rainy day). Well prepared but the sandwich was definitely bland and needed some additional wow factor for the cheese component. Service went down hill from there. From having to search out a soup spoon, to waiting another 20 minutes for another drink, to just being ignored when it was time for the bill - I have to subtract a star. Also, for the amount of staff that seemed to not have much to do, I think they could have done a lot better in the service department. Would I go back when traveling out for a future flight? Probably - but I'd definitely sit at the bar where I could get more attention from the staff. read more

The Redmond airport is awesome to fly through because it is so easy and it does have this small airport bar. I rarely get to the airport with enough time to take advantage because you don't need to arrive very early but I have stopped in a few times before heading on a a vacation. You can usually hear the announcements for all the flights and have a TV showing flights which is nice but outside of a quick pre- vacation flight beer, there's not much else to it. read more

This was a great airport stop. There's only one restaurant here, but it's all you need. Good menu variety, airport-like prices but not as outrageous as it could be. The two bartenders/servers welcomed people before they even crossed the threshold and chatted everyone up. It's a small place so the courtesy gave it a neighborhood dive bar friendliness; we were all treated as regulars. Food was tasty and fast, too. Good local beers on tap. Id definitely grab something at the gas staion or a fast food joint before eating here again. Service was painfully slow. Burger took 25 minutes to get, bun and burger were both dry. The wedge style fries were not edible and cooked to the point that they were charred. This is your only option for food at the airport. We stopped in for a quick meal before our flight. The service was very, very slow. If you have a flight soon, this is not a good option for you. We waited for a very long time and barely got our food before our flight. The staff blamed the delay on being short staffed, but based on other reviews, it sounds like this is very normal. read more

Worst service ever. Sat for an hour almost missed flight. Only 2 girls serving and they were a wreck. They were both stressed and the girl who waited on us while she was nice she didn't write down our order for 9 people which was a red flag...so of course it came out wrong and not time to eat it because we had to board. Then when I told the waitress the order was wrong she barked at me that they are understaffed. Not my problem. For the only restaurant available in this airport they should have more staff. And the food was gross. Ps I am a stay at home mom and haven't worked outside my home in 20 years so no this is not a fake review Daniel B. A great place to go when your flight gets delayed and itd dinner time. The selection of drinks was very locally centered and skewed towards the small artisanal brewing places and the blackberry cider I had was delicious. My order was very plain--a romaine lettuce salad, but that was fresh and tasty with lots of bacon bits. The place is spacious and clean, and a good place to charge your phone, since there are outlets every three feet if you sit at the benches. read more

In the Redmond airport I there a hidden gem and that's this restaurant. Walking in is seat yourself and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. And if that weren't enough the food is delicious. I had the a gourmet bagel sandwich and it was one of the best I've had. I also had the BLT and although BLTs aren't easy to mess up, this one was to die for. read more

Waiters and bartenders continued to serve guests who were sitting or at the bar but staff didn't even say a word to me. This is the first time I ever left a restaurant due to not being acknowledged. Like all airport restaurants, this place is slightly pricey. However, they carry local craft beers and the service is super friendly. It's been newly remodeled as of February 2016, and they now feature USB outlets and plugs at the booths, and fresh hipster PNW decor. The bar is expanded and they do carry out salads, wraps and sandwiches for your flight. Much improved in ambiance but the food is exactly the same as before, so don't be expecting much. It's very basic and of the salty, processed variety. The stars are for the beer, service, and charging stations. If your flight is delayed, at least there's someplace other than your gate to sit. read more

I always leave early for the airport so that I can have a drink and food here. I sit at the bar, and I have alway had great service with a smile. Their house wine is very good. They pour a good glass. I always have fun with the bartenders. I like the fact that they will pack up a salad or sandwich for you to take onboard. I think it must be very difficult to staff a restaurant which typically has customers trickling in. Then, if a flight is cancelled, everyone wants to run to the bar and then complain that the service is slow. What do you expect? Try having 50 persons suddenly converge on any restaurant in town, all at the same time, and see how good THEIR service is. The place is very classy... not your typical diner looking airport restaurant. It looks spotless. The food is very good. Their salad selection is great for anyone on a diet. read more

The place is certainly convenient for a quick meal or a place time kill some time before a flight. I had a chicken caesar salad. The romaine lettuce was completely chopped up and had a bit of a funny taste. It was probably the same lettuce they put on a burger. Not tasty. Service is very slow today, I travel every other week from Bend and today was the worst. Need to hire more people. I Sat at the bar 12 minutes with absolutely no acknowledgement and the bartender / server waited on other people that came after me first. Need to coach your staff and add more during busy hours. Had dinner here last night. It was very busy as there were many cancelled flights. Sat down and no one ever came around so a went up to the bar for a jack n coke that they delivered with a menu. It was not Jack but at that point I needed a drink so like a good soldier I pounded it down. Ordered a BLT and it was good. Apparently they do not have a fryer as frys are not a choice and it comes with chips. Place started to clear out and the service improved. Switched to vodka n coke and all was right with the world. The wait staff was trying and very friendly. Not impressed by the menu. Prices were average BLT and 4 drinks $31.00 I am sure I will be back as I fly out of RMD frequently. read more

Beware of staff charging you an additional 11% on takeout orders without telling you they are doing so. We were seated at a table but they were too busy to take our order, ordered from the cashier directly, pointed out our table and was told they did not have time to locate people in the restaurant and it had to be to go order. After paying I asked why the price charged was higher than the menu and was told by the blonde male bartender that I had to pay it because it was to go, even though we had a table. A slick maneuver by staff to extort tips from travelers at the airport without notifying them. Beer selection is good, if there were another restaurant at the airport that would be great as food is mediocre on its best day. Hope the owner knows they are adding a surcharge-don't need penny pinching bs for salad that was wilted and brown at the ends. read more

The service here is horrible. The waitress Emmy disappears for 45-50 mi uses and when she finally comes out completely ignores various tables. When you call her over she speaks with a tone and bad attitude as if she is being bothered and has a grudge. WORST service Ive ever had. This is the second trip I've had her as a server. Next trip l will stop at Applebee's near the highway/airport exit. If Emmy approaches you ask for a different server. read more
