Dr. Vincent is so nice and more than a Chiropractor, he has studied many practices. He will have you stand and walk and will discover the true source of your pain and issues and heal you! Other DR's will just process you through a routine of adjustments and schedule you for 6 months of visits. But, Dr Vincent fixed my issues in 1-3 visits every time I had any pains! Once it was a knee issue and I couldn't walk on it for a week, finally got in to see him and turns out it was because of my new rain boots and he fixed me in 1-2 visits. I had my neck get stuck from 3 months at my new office job where the computer was on the left side of the desk. One day my neck just stuck turned to the left for 3 days before I found his office. This man has magical hands! His approach to healing people is the way pain management should be dealt with: holistically, without drugs, or electrical doodads. Dr. Vincent asks many questions to get a good understanding of what's going on from the patients point of view- he listens! He then observes movements and runs tests. He is very patient and has a great attitude. My dad and I both went to visit Dr. Vincent after seeing many chiropractors. We have both had chronic back pain for years and with our very first visit we felt a huge difference in our everyday activities and most importantly sleep. There was some Soreness (3/10) the night of the adjustment but the following morning I woke up with no stiffness or aches. His prices are a little more expensive then what iv paid before to see a chiropractor BUT he is not expensive considering his knowledge and outcome of his work. I have a been a patient of Dr. Vincent's for almost 15 years. I started seeing him after I'd had a terrible slip & fall on some ice and he was the 5th or 6th chiropractor I'd tried, hoping for some relief from the ongoing pain and discomfort I'd suffered for many months after the accident. I am really glad to have found Dr Mark Vincent. I've seen multiple chiropractors, massage therapists, PTs over the past 8 years and I've never had sessions quite like his. I recently went to Dr. Vincent with a painful back (unconfirmed disc herniation), and he managed to alleviate a lot of the pain in three sessions. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Vincent. I was really wary of going to a chiropractor because of all the things I'd heard. "All they do is crack your back!" "They're not even real doctors!" As a student who attends school in Manhattan and is originally from California, I happened to have found Avalon Chiropractic through, out of all things, an internet provider search. Nevertheless, Dr. Vincent is an incredible professional. Not only does he complete a thorough intake evaluation when you first meet with him, but he is able to provide an effective treatment plan that provides long term pain relief without the need for constant appointments. Where his practice truly innovates compared to other chiropractors is in his use of hip blocking. As someone with chronic back and shoulder pain, he has effectively applied such a technique since I first saw him in August to not only improve my posture, but allow for gradual adjustments that have caused the pain and discomfort I felt for years to largely abate. I understand that some people may be skeptical to go see a chiropractor in lieu of an actual doctor or even a physical therapist. I have gone to both. I would be highly surprised if someone still retained such an opinion after spending time with Dr. Vincent. I came to Dr. Mark Vincent with debilitating headaches. I've had these for a life-time, but now in my early 50s, they were becoming increasingly more frequent. I was losing about 5 days a month because of them, and it was getting worse. Now, six months later, my headaches are reduced to about 1 day in six weeks and the headaches and ancillary symptoms are weaker. This is a great success and life improvement for me. As a full time martial artist, I am also benefiting from Dr. Mark's careful body alignment adjustments. Proper body alignment and posture is a major factor in martial arts, and to my surprise, he found particular deep muscles that are too tight/too loose, and has been making subtle adjustments.
