The dental group accepts DMO insurance to get business and then inaccurately represented a…read moretreatment not covered by the DMO insurance to boost their billing. The client, who has no dental training, ultimately has to decide whether to accept the treatment. After speaking to the DMO insurance company about the treatment I was informed by the DMO that I was misled about the purpose of the treatment. I tried to negotiate with the staff and office manager to get the cost of the treatment back. The office manager took my call and told me that I approved the charge at time of service. This is true. I did approve a misrepresented treatment and its charge. I was also told she would talk to the owner dentist about my claim. This never happened. Then, by email, I asked to talk to the owner dentist and I even offered to pay part of the charge as a compromise. The office manager never responded to me on two separate email attempts. I consider these business practices unscrupulous and poor customer service overall. Ghosting customers may be the social trend, but it's very poor customer service! Fulshear Modern Dentistry seems to overlooking all the choices their customers have for dental care in the area. The situation/charge above was in dispute with my credit card company initiated by me. This dispute was unanswered by the office manager. However, my bill is paid in full even though I was unable to work something out with the office manager due to her lack of response.

I never had any issues like cavitaties and my visits were always preventative in nature. So why is Lathrop so special? it's the staff in both the front office and hygienists that make each stop positive, calm, and sincere. Whether you're calling over the phone or speaking to the staff in person - you're their priority. The hygenists have a light touch, are sociable without being annoying, and thorough. You never need to request a certain hygienist because they're all very capable and on par with another. I recently moved states and the team cooperated beyond belief with my new dentist to provide current x-rays and even followed up to make sure they arrived. The administrator in the new office actually told me she had never experienced that sort of professionalism. I'm sitting at the new dentists office right now. So they told me that I couldn't get my teeth cleaned because I'm not doing the x-rays so my understanding is they want to do x-rays to get more money out of me because let's say they did find something wrong with something on the x-rays they would still have to have my permission to proceed to go forward to whatever they found. So if I told them no, I don't wanna do anything whatever they found they would say OK and they would clean my teeth so there's really no point on taking the x-rays if I don't proceeded to go forward with whatever they would find and don't forget I don't have any problems so why are you forcing me to do x-rays because they need or want more money. It's sad because they always have excuse saying all they don't wanna lose their license or blah, blah blah, even though the contracted paperwork at the beginning that we signed saying that we can't do anything, even if they broke a tool in our mouth. It's just bothers me that these corporations use these tactics to manipulate us into spending more money in reality it doesn't benefit us. And it's sad because I love this place but once you start adding more stuff just to get money out of my pockets when I've been going here for probably 5-6 years and never had a issue. they need to listen to their clients and their patients more than whatever they're trying to push on us, because at the end of the day we were the ones that pay their bills. Lack of transparency and follow-up on payment information -- I've requested copies of the payment forms I signed eight times (once in person, multiple times by email, phone, and voicemail). Despite this, I've still not received any documentation or clear communication around fees--for orthodontic and dental work. 2. Delayed and dismissive handling of records -- After my initial visit with Dr. To, I waited nearly two weeks for answers to my follow up questions, and then decided to request my dental records so I could transition to a new provider. When I followed up today, I was asked to "be patient and wait a few weeks." This felt dismissive, especially given I am in pain and actively seeking timely care. Given the premium pricing and the promise of a holistic, patient-centered approach, I expected a higher level of service, compassion, and professionalism. Cross Creek was assigned as my preferred dentist by my network, and I am SO GLAD THEY WERE! I have extreme dental anxiety after some previous experiences in other dental offices and a traumatic dental accident a few years back. From the moment I walked in, they made me feel so cared for! The front staff was extremely kind and quick. I waited under 5 minutes for my appointment time -- I felt they were so efficient at every step. The dental assistant who took my x-rays and performed my cleaning was equally as kind. I expressed my concerns with my dental anxiety and let her know I was in tears and on the verge of a panic attack. She did not make feel embarrassed whatsoever. She was extremely calm and accommodating and made me feel very seen and cared for during my panic. She offered to go slower or stopped if needed and made sure to check in throughout to ensure I was ok. I wish I remembered her name because I was so grateful for her ease and calming presence in that moment (other dental offices can be very passive and almost annoyed at this). The cleaning was quick and once I met with the dentist, I had already had a phenomenal experience. The dentist gave me a thorough check and was very communicative the whole way through.
