I spoke to multiple representatives already. I spoke to the Mayslanding store manager August (who seems very helpful advocating for me), customer service representative (who could not wait to get off the phone with me and who could care less about my problems) and project Manager ( who is working the matter at the moment and seems like he will fix these issues). I believe we are getting somewhere to resolve my issues. Issues: 1. Shoe molding in kitchen, sloppy and a mess, no new toe kicks were installed to make everything level and even. 2. Front door shoe molding uneven sloppy. 3. House was left a total mess with dirt, salt from snow, dust, caulk left all over. I had to go around scraping caulk up off the floor for hours. 4. Nail spots all over trim not caulked or wood filled. 5. Closet door taken off to put floor trim in the closet, trim was never cut to leave a gap to be able to close the door. Installer advised either someone's has to cut the trim or cut the door and never reinstalled my closet door. 6. I was under the impression I would receive new modern square air vents to match the floor. On day the installation was complete, I texted my estimator to ask where the air vents were cause I never asked to have them taken off the quote. Apparently he never added the air vents to the overall project. How am I suppose to know that. Great time to find out after installation is complete. The customer service agent I spoke with advised me if I wanted them I can pay for them to receive them. 7. I was told my by estimator that I would receive some type of molding around my fireplace, no molding was ever installed. 8. Never received an itemized quote, I asked multiple times so I knew exactly what I was getting and paying for. Now here we are after Avalon received my 13 thousand dollars, I am not receiving things I was under the assumption I would receive.l and they are asking for more money to receive my air vents. 8. I Came to Avalon flooring knowing they stand by their name and expect nothing but perfection on their job sites. The day of installation I come to find out it's a third party doing the installation. ASAP Flooring did the job not Avalon I will update this post as and if any repair work gets complete. I would never bash a store who does the right thing and fixes their mistakes. I needed a new runner for our newly restored stairwell that opens up right to our front door. I had an idea of what I wanted, something clean, classic but with a subtle texture. Took some samples home but they didn't feel right. So when they came out to take measurements Jennifer sent out some other samples and I knew immediately the one!!! Beautiful macaron color with a diamond pattern in it. It's perfect. Measuring went great, didn't wait too long for it to come in and it was installed by a great two man crew. Exactly how we wanted it. It has totally changed the feeling of the front foyer. We're so happy with how quick and efficient everything was done. We will definitely be back for some other flooring or carpet. Price was decent and fair for the brand. read more

Don't even waste your time coming here, If you want to be mistreated this is the place for you Sheryl and Jenifer need a lesson on how to talk to people. My wife and I had to call multiple times just to get the status on if our tile had arrived or not. Avalon tile reps said they would call us when our tile arrived, which they said should take 2 weeks. We wanted the 2 weeks and Finally after a month and the 3rd or 4th time of us calling. We found out our tile was in, we questioned them on why they didn't tell us and they said they didn't want to get our contractor in trouble!?? Umm I'm sorry but we are not in elementary school here. What kind of response is that?? We paid our contractor and we had to let him know when our tile was in so that is unacceptable. Seriously we are never coming to Avalon tile. I have never been in this business before. I will not be back either. I went in with a sample vinyl tile to match color. I was greeted...probably the only positive thing that happened during my visit. I started to ask my question and was cut off before finishing to be told "no we don't have that". My next question was then cut off as well. Just inquiring if you have a catalog. I was told "no, we can't help you". This all took place in the matter of three minutes. How can a business know if they can or can not help a person if you don't even know what I wanted to purchase??? I wanted to replace the entire floor in my business. The woman at your Egg Harbor Township location has made it so I will be shopping at your competition. I will have them send her a thank you note. read more

We renovated a house at the shore and dealt with Avalon for hardwood flooring for the entire house, bathroom and backsplash tile and area rugs...amounting to a significant amount of money. We found our rep at this location to be scattered at best and a downright liar at worst. She made numerous mistakes that had the potential to shut down the renovation and then proceeded to try to hide her mistakes. We were so completely unhappy with our experience at this location that we decided to use their Philadelphia location to complete the purchase of the area rugs. We had a much better experience with Jonathan, the sales rep on Columbus Blvd, who proved to be knowledgeable and professional. Unfortunately, this ended up poorly because of the nasty attitude of the Avalon operation people who screwed up the delivery of the area rugs. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies. read more

We went in, two ladies said "can we help you". We said " We're looking for kitchen and bathroom tile". They pointed us to a side room and that was it. No one bothered to ask us anything else of offered to help. We did overhear a male sale person talking about golf and how busy he was with another customer. When he finished with that customer he left, and didn't even bother to ask us about our project. We walked around the store for about 10 minutes looking for ideas and ....nothing. If a business doesn't pay attention to a customer in the store, what makes you think they'll pay attention to the job you need done. I told my contractor who sent me there what happened and he said he heard similar things from other customers he sent. We went to the place across the street and got 500 square feet of tile there and was treated with some courtesy. read more

Called and asked if they had a large area rug in stock I could pick up yesterday in a nice grey pattern. Mr Joe Brown stated he would look at the inventory and call me back. Called back 15 minutes later stating he had 5 options if I would like to come look. As I entered the store I saw a beautiful grey rug opened on the rug hanging rack. Ordered tile from Avalon Egg Harbor, I was told the tile was in-stock and should be in a few days. I went to check on the tile a week later and after many attempts, to locate my information was told the tile would not be in for other week. The sale person was so rude made like it was my fault and could care less. I told him I had contractors coming in based on their information on when the tile would be in. I will never go to them again. I found tile at Coast Tile across the street GREAT SERVICE. read more

Their sales people always appear to be annoyed by questions. They can't answer any of my questions about installation. I bought tile but came back when I realized I needed bullnose. They said that line didn't have any bullnose. That would have been nice to know before I bought it. I returned all the tile in unopened boxes and they made me pay the 20% restocking fee. They said they couldn't waive it per company policy. Everyone knows any business can waive it. Well they got their 20% but lost thousands of dollars. I guess I'm not that important of a customer. Go to Coast Tile. They have better customers service and they can answer any questions under the sun about tile. People told me not to shop at Avalon Flooring, I guess I should have listened. read more

Buyer beware. Purchased flooring from Avalon on the recommendation of the sales rep. I explained I had three kids and we would need something that would be durable. I was assured over and over that the product I was purchasing, while very expensive, was 'top notch' and exactly what we needed for our home and family. It hasn't been two years and the floors are literally falling apart. They are splitting, warping, and the color is coming off. When I called, they were rude and blew me off multiple times. Their customer service is terrible. I have had to consult an attorney because I can't get any response from Avalon. They do not stand by their products. I would NOT buy anything here. Nobody wants to install new flooring and then have to deal with this. read more

My wife and I decided to do a tile job ourselves. The money that we saved on doing the labor ourselves more than allowed us to "spring" for the cost of better tile. So off to Avalon with our measurements we went. Loved the tile! We bought it in June 2019 and took our leisurely time taking up the old tile and putting down the new on our back porch, laundry room and kitchen. We were told that Avalon would repurchase any unused tile minus a 20% restocking fee. We were also told that there were no guarantees on the repurchase after 30 days. So far, so good. Well it took us until November to finish up, but we could already see that we were going to have way too much tile left over. When I returned the tile, I was met with a blank stare and the explanation the they didn't stock that tile anymore and advised to ask around if anyone would want to buy it from me. The part that bothers me is that they grossly overestimated what I would need based on the dimensions that I gave them, 10% waste is standard, I ended up with over 20% and a blank stare. High marks for quality, low marks for assuming responsibility for their mistake and lower marks for ignoring any options beyond "your stuck with the leftover tile." I cannot recommend Avalon Tile for the do it yourself homeowner. read more

Super nice and friendly installation crew that helped move a lot of my furniture. The prices weren't super cheap but they were competitive enough that I chose to shop local and use them. Our Vacation Home was flooded by Hurricane Sandy and we were advised to shop at Avalon Tile. We met with Paul Gilbert (Salesman). To make a long story short, We selected the tile and placed a deposit. When the Tile arrived at the store 4 weeks later, I was notified by Paul that he made a mistake on the tile price and my contractor would not be able to pick up the tile until I paid him an additional $435.46. He would not honor the contract price that my wife & I had agreed on. My contractor informed me that this was not the first time he had seen Avalon Tile pull a fast one with the customer, as I was now pinned into a corner. I was also informed by Paul Gilbert that my Listello order was short 4 pc s and he would not be able to get the Tile in stock for 2 weeks and no other Avalon Tile store had stock. Well, now my contractor had started the job only to be delayed again. I took it upon myself to call the Avalon Tile (Cherry Hill Store) and spoke to Bruce in Sales and he informed me that they had 13 pc s in stock and he could deliver them the following day. We were so unhappy with our experience with Paul Gilbert @ the Egg harbor Store. Paul cheated my family out of $435.46. We have just completed a Bathroom project and had a wonderful experience with Dal-Tile. There prices and customer service are 1st class... read more

Avalon Carpet in Egg Harbor Township is a truly awful company. I went to the store inb February, selected carpet and tile, provided carefully measured dimensions, and received an estimate that seemed high at the time (around $7000 total with installation), but the store representative said she wanted to estimate on the "high" side so I wouldn't be upset when the actually price came back after they sent out their professional measurer to get exact measurements. The measurer came out to measure a week later and said she would get back to me in four days with a final price. I didn't hear back for A MONTH. When I went to the store to complain to the manager that no one had contacted me in a month, the original store rep told the manager that she had called me and left a message on my phone two weeks earlier. This was NOT TRUE; I save every voice message on my phone, and there is no message from anyone at Avalon. Then, when the store manager asked the measurer what had happened to my order, the measurer falsely asserted that, when she left my house after measuring a month earlier, I purportedly told her not to place the order yet because I had not yet made final carpet/tile choices. This also was NOT TRUE; I kept detailed written notes of our conversation at the time, and I most certainly did not say that to her. In fact, the last thing she said to me as she left was, "I'll get back to you with a final price in four days." Then, when Avalon finally came back with the final price for the job, it was over $12,100 (total for materials and installation) - $5100 more than the original estimate!! I don't remember ever having a more awful shopping experience. These people do not deserve your business. read more
