I asked if the hotel would be putting me up someplace else. He told me it was up to me to figure it out and he didn't know the hotel policy for this and he left. It was 1130pm and they were sending a single female out in a strange city to fend for herself! Not okay. I was able to get some help from Ciera when I explained it to her. She was able to get me a room at the West Monroe location after midnight, but only for 1 night and at a higher rate. Ciera would have Denice (manager) call me in the morning. I went there and they said I had to check out in the morning. I checked out at 830am, Denice never called so I went back, she was not there and this hotel was still sold out. Left it up to me again. Luckily a room opened up at the West Monroe location and I was then able to stay there for the remaining 5 nights, again for more money than my original reservation. I have tried to reach Denice multiple times and to this day I have not heard a word from her. We are Hilton gold members. We travel a decent amount. This is not how things are handled when you oversell.

My complaint was about the disgusting bathroom condition, primarily the water backup in the bathtub/shower, which resulted in us having to stand in a tub of 4-5 inches of backed up water while showering. In addition to the backed up bathtub, there was brownish-colored mold around the outer edges of the bath, where the bathtub meets the floor. I let NIA know I would be calling IHG to report my complaint, as I found NIA's and CARL's response to my complaint to be completely unreasonable. NIA went on to state my complaint to IHG would just "come back to us (Holiday Inn Express Ruston)", implying me calling IHG with my complaint would be a waste of my time. For the price we paid over $350 for two nights the quality of the room and the experience was very disappointing.
