No option at all to speak to a person. Online chat has extremely limited options, none of which are helpful. Online support is non existent; the "support button" at the top of the screen does not exist. The customer support button only allows you to track the order. In line with others reviews, this place is a total scam. I ordered flowers for a friend on the Wednesday preceding Valentine's Day. I was charged $30 for express delivery for Saturday (before VD). The flowers weren't delivered until the following Tuesday afternoon, and were a dried-out, falling apart mess. You can't reach anyone live ("we are having problems with our phone system" (sure you are!), and when they called back, it went straight to voicemail. I cannot reach anyone and at this point, I'm out $113 for a dozen decrepit roses delivered well after the promised date, and missed the holiday. Boo Avas!! read more

I ordered a floral wreath for my aunt's funeral service and was assured it would be delivered to the funeral home the morning of the service. My brother traveled from out of state and let me know that nothing ever arrived. I purchased flowers for my older sister who lives on the opposite coast. I bought the large She's got style She's got grace design. I paid over 120 dollars for this arrangement. It was sent from a florist called OAK CREEK FLORIST in Concord, CA an affiliate of AVA'S FLOWERS. The flowers were NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING like the design I ordered. They were fresh and pretty and mostly greenery - AWFUL. My sister was happy that I sent a gift but had no idea why I was unhappy that her flowers were NOT what was ordered. I called customer service over and over before actually talking to a person - they say they will call you back but DO NOT. The young man I talked with was very nice. They wanted to give the original florist another chance to fix it and I said no. If the original florist had the flowers and or the skill to make the arrangement it would have been done correctly the first time. He assured me - after talking to his supervisor - that they would use another florist and have the correct flower arrangement sent. He said the original florist may ask for their flowers back and I said ABSOLUTELY not. I was also assured she would have the correct arrangement delivered the next day. That would be today. It is now 7:26 PM in California and no flowers have been delivered AT ALL. My sister found a voicemail on her phone that was the original florist asking to come and pick up their flowers. She did not respond. I normally look up reviews before I order stuff on line. This time I did not. My bad. I thought I was being clever by ordering Mother's day flowers right from a florist in the town of Summerville, South Carolina because that is where my mom resides. I spent around 40 minutes on the Ava's website trying to find the perfect arrangement for a 98 yr old woman that would fit my budget. I thought I had found just what I wanted. I proceeded to checkout and was ready to pay when I saw that an additional fee of $25.00 had been added to my bill. It said it was for "service". I attempted to contact someone at Avas via their listed customer service phone number. After several attempts, someone finally picked up. I asked about the extra charge and they said that it was for arranging the flowers. The initial charge of $65 was for the actual flowers. With tax and a $5 card that I chose to order, the total was over $100. Out of my budget. So then, I spent another 45 minutes with the salesperson attempting to find something in my budget that I liked. I did not want roses or tulips. I finally settled on something else and the sales person said that she would give me a little discount as well. This was on the Wednesday before Mother's Day. I went ahead, completed the order and thought I was done. The next day, I received an email saying that that particular arrangement was not available. They offered me alternate choices: tulips or roses. I then had to spend another 2 hours in an attempt to get someone to assist me in getting a better selection to replace my first order. The problem in getting hold of someone to talk to is that there is one line on which to place an order and one line to discuss problems. No one answers that particular line. After one and a half hours of trying to reach someone on that phoneline, I finally just called back the "order line" and explained my situation. The salesperson said there was nothing she could do and that I had to call the other line to discuss my problem. Even when I explained that NO ONE WAS ANSWERING THAT LINE! I was finally told that she would leave them a message to call me. Which they actually did. 3 hours later. I again explained my concerns and then spent another 40 minutes trying to find a suitable replacement for the replacement. The only thing that was offered was a garden bouquet. They had no picture or price to show me. When asked, they made all sorts of placating murmurs of assurance that my mother "would love it". I asked about the card I had ordered and they said a card would be included. I asked if they had the special sentiment that I wanted documented some where and they said no so I gave it to them again. Along with my mom's address, name of facility that she was in and the specific floor and room number. I told them they could leave it at the front desk. I asked when it would be delivered and again they told me definitely by mother's day. I told them I didn't care if it was earlier than that day but not later. I was assured everything would be fine. Long story longer, the floral arrangement did not arrive at all. I called the customer service line that afternoon and could not get anyone to answer. Sooo, I called the purchasing line and explained that nothing had been delivered. AGAIN, I was told that this wasn't the correct line and I should call the other number. I told them AGAIN that no one was answering that line and when it said to leave a message i would be disconnected before I could do so. I was told that someone would call them and give them my number and I would get a call back very soon. The call never came. On Monday, when no flowers had arrived at my mom's residence I called again no answer from customer service so you know the drill. This time I lost my patience and explained to this salesperson that if she didn't get someone to call me back within a 2 hour time span there would be consequences to pay. Within 30 minutes I received a call from their customer service who assured me that the flowers had been delivered that morning. when I could finally get someone to go to my mom's room, I was informed that NO FLOWERS HAD ARRIVED. I am now fulfilling my threat of CONSEQUENCES. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!! And, for an added insult to injury, I had my brother who lives in Summerville, SC go to the address they listed for their store IN Summerville and he says the directions given on the web site lead to a PARK. read more
