Recently we decided to purchase new equipment and found that Daniel LaChance had the best selection by far, and their service was like nothing we've ever experienced before. We purchased custom-fit ski boots for our 2 sons, and the boot fitter was exceptional. It's an experience - but I highly recommend taking the time to get your boots properly fitted the way they do at Lachance. The gentleman who did the fitting was precise and meticulous, measuring their feet and molding the boots to every contour, bump, and detail. It took about 2 hours and several rounds of tweaking a pressure point here and a spot there. When we returned to Mont Tremblant this year, we needed adjustments to the boots, which they said happens sometimes. The Ski Shop did not hesitate to make sure we got what we needed, they got right to work on making the necessary adjustments, at no charge. They even stayed past closing time to complete the boot fitting. In addition to custom boot fitting, they have an incredible array of skis, boots, clothing, and accessories. Just a fantastic store, with great people. We are 100% satisfied with Daniel LaChance, best Ski Shop we've ever been to!

We skipped snowboarding and skiing this morning, Sunday, Feb 6, to purchase Atomic Vantage 90 Cti…read moreskis. We tested the skis during demo day on Saturday. The woman who signed us up and the white-haired gentleman who set up the skis were extremely helpful and friendly, as was the person we talked with upon returning the skis at the end of the day. We were totally sold on these skis after trying them. Upon returning them, we were told the skis would still be 25% off the following day, but the bindings, which were 20% off on demo day, would go back to full price; however, I could use my Montagnard card for a 20% discount on the bindings. So basically the same deal as on demo day, because of my card, would be honoured the following day. We returned this morning, Feb. 7, 2016, to buy skis. OMG! What a total contrast in service to the previous day. The staff were completely unfriendly, almost rude, nobody came to help us, we had to seek them out and break up their conversation with each other to get some service. My friend had the Vantage 90 skis in hand to buy and they told him they were 20% off, not 25%, as represented the day before. We explained this to them and they couldn't care less. Without a doubt they were the worst sales people I've ever dealt with in buying ski equipment, and I've been buying high-end equipment for over 30 years. Let me emphasize that -Atomic Tremblant has the absolute worst service I've ever experienced!!! They effectively lost a $1000 purchase today because they didn't want to stand by their word from the day before and provide an additional discount of $35 on the skis. For us, it was a matter of principle. We walked out shaking our heads and vowing never to ever return. My friend's girlfriend who witnessed how we were treated was in shock. She couldn't believe it. What a complete and utter disappointment. We could have been on the slopes instead of wasting our time at Atomic trying to buy skis from a store that doesn't know how to properly treat and serve customers. What made it all the worst was the contrast between the staff that served us at the demo booth and the pitiful Sunday staff in the store this morning. If you're thinking of buying skis, don't waste your time or money at Atomic @ Tremblant. I honestly wish I could rate them zero stars because that would be more accurate.

We were out walking a little bit in the cute little "downtown" of St-Jovite / Town of Mont…read moreTremblant, and I noticed a new kids store. Sautrelles et Cocinelles is a very small Quebec franchise with only a few other locations, seems like a nice bright addition to this corner that boasts an ice cream shop and lovely pizza terrasse. I haven't really indulged in any shopping for the kiddo in months since we were stocked with hand-me-downs when Covid hit. I was super excited just to peek in at the cuteness and I was not disappointed. Health and safety stuff was handled correctly and since I was basically alone in the boutique with the friendly clerk it wasn't at all stressful. There's a clear emphasis on locally made and environmentally friendly toys and clothes here which I love, and though the shop is small it's quite packed with goodness. Really nice quality hats and mittens and coats for children which is so appropriate for both locals and visitors to this area. I found some lovely wooden toy animals that weren't crazy expensive so I was able to come away with a tiny treasure for the kiddo and I look forward to heading back in next time I'm in town.

We were standing at the base lift line clipping in and found that my wife's ski binding had never been adjusted to fit her boots. It took a good 15 minutes to adjust the bindings to fit her boots. If we were unable to adjust the bindings we would have had to get out of the ski gear and back in the car. Drive back To Below Zero take everything back in the store to have the skis adjusted. Then drive back to the ski slopes and hopefully find parking. This whole endeavor would have cost us, at the minimum, a half day and not to mention the shitty attitude for the remainder of the day. The skis should have never made it out the door, this is an essential basic skill rental adjustment.

I was driving around Mont-Tremblant village and found a beautiful modern sign saying "pottery" …read more Red and white sign was made out with baked pottery too. When I drove into the driveway, the studio was a converted garage. Cute old artists were making potteries on their studio and selling them on the spot. They have various household dishes, cups, pots and oil bottles etc. My favorite was their salt shaker which spits out a pinch of salt whenever it shakes. I got a bunch for gifts. I also like beautiful soup mugs, spoon rest, plates etc. They showed us their oven and studio, I loved it so much. I came out from there with a huge bag of potteries but I loved them all. If you visit this area, don't lose a chance to visit the cute old couple who makes beautiful potteries. They will love to share their art work and more.

Every time I go there I am always amazed by the quality of what they are offering. To me, all the pieces there are interesting. Not necessarily my style, but have great fabric or interesting pattern.
