Hello folks, I strongly suggest and appeal to you to find another dentist who cares about his patients rather than the money you bring. The Avenue Dental is not a place you want to select for your dental needs. I am left with a bill that I have never paid with my insurance for routine CLEANING. I want to leave my objective experience with Avenue Dental. I had sent the office all my images/X-rays including panoramic images that were taken prior to the visit. The visit was for cleaning. For some reason not known to me they took X-rays and I was told that the office does this and I will not be charged. They billed the insurance with my Gold Cigna Plan and received payment in full at 100% coverage. And then they sent me a bill of $94 for X-rays. So all in all they want to receive a huge payment for routine cleaning. Please find other dentists who are plentiful in and near Suwanee/Cumming/nearby areas and who care for patients: and most importantly where you do not have to pay a dime for routine cleaning with any dental insurance. I've had nothing but great experiences here. My wife and I moved to cumming 2 years ago and we've had multiple appointments with zero issues. Everyone is friendly, Dr. Budier takes the time to fully explain procedures and recommendations but always solicits my input and lets me decide what it right for me (and on what timeline). I've had dentists in the past who try and push procedure after procedure on me aggressively, but that isn't the case here. I get informed of my options and given recommendations, sometimes with alternate options and timelines, but I never feel pressured. Dr. Budier doesn't just tell me I need something done, he shows me X-RAYs and pictures to explain the issues. I trust his word, but having this extra confirmation makes me feel even more at ease with decision making. Everything is very modern and high tech, cleanings are done with an ultrasonic water scaler which is WAY better than a bunch of scratchy picks. For larger procedures Nitrous Oxide is an option, along with massage chairs...dental work is totally stress free. I've had a couple crowns done here and they all fit perfectly, look great and were painless procedures. As someone who has had multiple bad experiences with dentists in the past, Avenue Dental has offered top notch service and I'd recommend them to anyone. We moved to the Cumming area in the last year or so and needed a new dentist. Tried out Avenue Dental last year because they had a ton of great reviews online. Throughout the entire visit it became very clear that they had just opened the office in the last month. They were still working out the kinks, unskilled hygienists, and I was the only patient in the building for an hour-and-a-half. The hygienist was awful! (Hopefully they have gotten better by now). Worst cleaning ever! Then the dentist, Dr. Budeir, basically held me captive for the next hour explaining how I needed this procedure, that procedure, I had to come back in the next month or two to do this and that. Could not get away! "I need to go. I have somewhere I need to be." Completely ignored and he kept on pitching the next product/service. Finally, I got away. I felt like I should have kissed the ground after walking out the door. To add insult to injury, their office called weekly for the next 2-3 months trying to get my wife and I to schedule other procedures. Unreal! And as for the 20+ five-star reviews that they had after only being open for a very short period of time, I won't make any accusations, but I certainly have my theories. I've never had a dentist-phobia in my life, but I've definitely put off finding a new dentist for my annual cleaning. And the fact that this experience is still vivid in my mind after a year should say a lot too. 'Nuff said. read more

Having read the other review of this dental office- it explains a lot. They told me I needed 2 crowns, etc. and I came in on two different occasions to have each tooth done. In between visits/teeth I had received an explanation of benefits saying that my insurance company denied the first claim of a crown, crown build-up, and full mouth debridement. When I went in on for the second visit/crown, I inquired about the denial and spoke with Daphne, I suppose this is their office manager. She assured me that she would look into it and not to worry about it- that she would follow up with them and contact me if there was an issue. Months later I receive another letter of denial so I call the dental office and speak with Daphne- who never did call me back when I inquired about the denial back in December for a procedure done in November. So I call and ask questions- then call my insurance company and ask them questions to try to get to the bottom of why they were denying now 2 claims for both November and December of 2011, 2 crowns, 1 crown build-up, and a full-mouth debridement. I don't know who is worse- the insurance company (BCBSGA) or the dental office. This Daphne all of sudden informs me that they only file insurance for patients as a courtesy and that I will have to settle this bill. Keep in mind, I called them to find out what was going on with the denial. Not more than a week after looking into what was going on myself and actively trying to get to the bottom of this, she makes that comment to me. Later I call to try to get another update. She apologizes and I tell her that I think that reminding me of the fact that billing insurance is a courtesy after she said she would look into this and never contacted me and then it was only because I contacted them that I had even been in touch with her- I said it was a "shitty" thing to pull. Then she reprimands me about my language. Unbelievable. I will never go back there again. Regardless of whether my insurance company is in the wrong or right- and I think they are just as slimy, for her to cop an attitude with me when I'm the one that started asking questions and trying to get to the bottom of it- is just wrong. She is nothing but rude and self righteous. Now I doubt whether the procedures they gave me and billed me for, that my insurance company is saying weren't justified, I wonder if they were just ripping me off to begin with. Don't go to this place. It's not worth it and they are very rude and in my opinion shady as hell. read more

Dr. Budair came highly recommended. I stressed my concerns for dental anxiety and I was advised that Dr. Budair is the doctor for me. I visited Avenue dentist for the first time Feb 21st, here we are less than a month later and I am glad to say my dental work is COMPLETE! It was a great experience. The staff is awesome and professional. Dr. Budair will go at your pace. Dr. Budair and his staff made sure I was comfortable throughout my treatments. VERY DISAPPOINTING.... I had made an appointment for my fiance and I to see Dr. Budeir on a Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:50 am since we were not able to miss much work. We just moved to Georgia and were looking to find a dentist in the area. I gave the "receptionist/office personnel" everything she needed, my insurance information, phone number, etc when I made the appointment. I even printed out the paperwork that needed to be filled out and completed it prior to my visit to speed up the process. I arrive 5-8 minutes before my appointment and there is one car outside the office. Inside the car was the same receptionist who I spoke with for 20 minutes over the phone making my appointment and providing my information. She proceeds to inform me that the office is closed today... on a Tuesday, Nov. 18th, and that I failed to call her back with my insurance information and did not provide her with my phone number so she could not contact me to change the appointment I made. She even claimed that she tried to "star 69" me back but it would not work... She then tells me that she can make an appiontment for me tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 19th, with my fiance's appointment.... First off, the whole excuse was ridiculous and secondly, why couldn't she have made my fiance and I's appointments on the same day and saved us 2 trips? I, of course, declined. I am just frustrated that I did everything correct on my part as a new patient and this company cost me time out of work and would not apologize or admit that they made a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes but not owning up to it is frustrating, especially to a new customer. I had read some of the reviews online and was skeptical but now I am glad that they "canceled" on me anyways.... Do not waste your time with this company. read more

I took my daughters back so that should say something. I don't quite understand the prior reviews. One sounds like some guy whining about his insurance company and blaming it on the dentist. They did a great job with my daughters, were very nice and professional. I like that the dentist sat down in a room seperate of the dental chair and went through the girls review after each was finished. I would go again. read more

I made an appointment with Avenue Dental for convenience of not traveling to Sandy Springs to my dentist of over 25 years. I am nearly 70 and have had twice annual visits and cleaning the entire time. After routine X-rays and a review of the "poor condition" of my teeth that cost $261.00. I was given an estimate of nearly $1000.00 for deep root scaling BEFORE they would even clean my teeth, then on to crown replacement, replacement of old silver filings and repair of several cracked teeth. I am now back with my old dentist who says that routine maintenance (cleaning) is all that is needed at this time. read more
