This is a very nice outdoor shopping center, they have an outdoor area where they will show football games going on and I believe someone said they have movie nights. They have a lot of shops, you can just park and get your steps in going from shop to shop and a few restaurants. Parking is free. read more

huh...not crazy about this place anymore. The only place I really like here is Williams-Sonoma. Believe it or not...they folks that work at the W-S are super friendly and helpful....more so than the Lenox location. First the parking: the spaces are way to small and there is never any parking spots and when you do find a spot you better watch out for people because they literally are like up your bumper... Because I hate malls ( big building with many stores inside them) I absolutely love this shopping center. I don't feel like I have to go thru or pass many other shops to get where I'm going. My son and I was in the area celebrating his birthday and decided to get shoes, we ended up at Famous Footwear because of the BOGO 1/2 off signs in the window. We both got chucks, we also stopped by Victoria Secrets and Gap. I love the way this shopping center is set up..... Plenty of parking, and great shopping. They have a great frozen yogurt spot and house one of my favorite stores ever ...Bed, Bath and Beyond ( not just because I worked there while I was in college). The also have good eats.... I would love to try Brixx Pizza the next time I'm in the area. They should really consider adding a Macy's with a MAC Makeup counter. LOL. read more

The Avenue in East Cobb is basically the nicest shopping complex in Marietta. They have a really diverse selection of stores to buy all sorts of fashionable ensembles at without having to deal with the typically annoying Mall traffic and random groups of teenage loiterers. The shopping complex is tucked back behind a thin layer of trees on Roswell road, so you might have to keep your eyes peeled if you are coming to the area for the first time. Because of the discreet layout of the property most would agree that The Avenue has more of a classier look to it that separates it from other large shopping complexes that usually stand out like a sore thumb with their large tacky signs. Personally, GAP and Banana Republic are the two stores that I spend most of my time at, but there are many other stores to choose from for men and women of all ages. read more

This is one of the places I truly enjoy visiting in Marietta. There are tons of shops to visit and there's always plenty of parking when I go. There are a few eating places to visit: Panera Bread, Menchies, Cheeky, and Brixx Wood Fired Pizza, but I usually go for the shopping. My main stops are Michaels, Bath and Body Works, and Bed Bath & Beyond. There's also a Yankee candle hidden in there with those awesome smelling candles. There's something for everyone in this shopping center. And well if you can't find it here at The Avenue of East Cobb, then have no fear, I'm sure there's a store across the street or around the corner that'll have what you're looking for. Other than that... it's pretty easy to get in and out of... Just go to the stop light if you need to go left when leaving. Be sure to drive around and check out all the stores because even though I've been here a bunch of times... I still don't know what all is located in the Avenue... But it's definitely a nice spot and great place to go to avoid the giant malls. read more

The Avenue? East Cobb is trying really hard to get some class to go with the high income families they have accumulated. The Avenue is like somebody took a strip mall and draped lace and silk all over the brick so you don't think you're in a craphole. It's a high-end strip mall. That's it. It seems a little nicer than other strip malls because it has specially bricked walk areas and a tiny fountain and, yes, they actually funnel music into the air with hidden speakers. The stores are a bit nicer on average: GAP, Ben&Jerry's, Borders, A&F, and other boutique-style chains. The best thing about the Avenue is that at night, after the stores close, it clears out and you can sit on the fountain and talk and it is silent (if they've turned the music off) and the security guys (who patrol at all hours, I think) don't really care. read more

This is the mall for those of us who lived in East Cobb and did not want to go to stinky Town Center, but also didn't want to make the trek to Northpoint Mall. Sure, it doesn't have all of the conveniences of a regular mall, but it's a good place to pick up something you need, while enjoying the outdoors. The whole Roswell Road/Johnson's Ferry Road intersection seems to be a mall, really, with The Avenue being close by, and an Old Navy just down the street. I guess it's East Cobb's way of having a mall without having a ginormous structure breaking up the scenery and making the traffic worse than it already is. read more

Nestled quietly in the Marietta area...The Avenues at East Cobb is home to a selection of specialty stores & boutiques showcasing women/men/kids apparell, cosmetics, jewelry, home decor, and even a spa & salon. My favorite stores include the ORIGINS Store, Ann Taylor Loft, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, WhiteHouse/Black Market, and the Banana Republic. What I love the most about this shopping experience is the convenience. You can be in and out if you know what you are looking for and where to get it. Don't get me wrong this place is great to walk around, especially on a beautiful day...but, if you are looking to make a quick stop to pick something up..its easy. Parking is easy, and convenient. I never get to go shopping because of my busy schedule, so I went in there today planning to do some damage. A very nice lady was helping me, and put at least $1,000 worth of clothes in the dressing room for me to try on. I was there for a while, so before trying my clothes on I asked to use the restroom. The lady helping me went to her manager, who informed me I am not allowed to use their bathrooms. How am I supposed to comfortably try on clothes without using the restroom?? Sometimes common sense is not common, and this time it was needed in order to make a sale. I left without trying on any clothes. What a waste of time for me and the associate helping me. I'd love to shop at Banana Republic again in the future, but I'll go elsewhere if I'm not treated like a valued customer. read more

Though it holds a lot of high school memories, I like this shopping complex a lot. Because it's an outdoor mall, it's a perfect stop on a sunny 60 degree day like today. Parking is never an issue, though due to the horse-shoe shape of the complex, you will probably end up walking quite a ways back to your car. The Avenue is like a mall developer looked at a list of my favorite chain stores and wish list of cute boutiques and put them all together in Cobb County, where sales tax is only 6%. There's a big, bustling Borders, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor LOFT, Gap, Banana Republic, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, J. Crew, Victoria's Secret, and many cute local boutiques that cater to every age group and style. The only thing that this place is missing is food. There's a solid Panera, but I would love to see a cute, locally owned cafe or tapas place for something a little less processed (and that might serve alcohol). On my last visit, I noticed they have an email coupon/newsletter service, so sign up for that if you want some additional bargains. read more

The one redeeming store here is Borders. I honestly grew up at this location: I learned English here, read my summer readings and more in one sitting, bought almost every birthday and Christmas gift here for friends, played at the chess meets every Thursday, went to midnight book parties, gossiped with girl friends, and learned to sip coffee like a boss. One time, Borders even saved me from a creeper, but that's another story. Seeing a bookstore go is like seeing a childhood friend pass away. When I walked in two days ago after more than 3 years of separation, about half the store was on clearance. I'm scared Borders; you've been my childhood friend and now you're battling cancer. I'm just hoping it's not the terminal kind. :( Before all the stores changed I might have given the Ave 4 stars, but with the inclusion of Sage, A Pea in a Pod, Francesca's, Fresh Produce, Lucy, High Country Outfitters, and Southern Soles....no more. I mean, have you even heard of half of them? Even more, do you like the clothes they carry in there? I've heard of most of them but the clothes seem so tacky and unreasonably priced. The originals are still there- American Eagle, Victoria's Secret, Talbots, White House Black Market, William Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Origins, New York and Company, Fuzziwigs, and Panera. I hate shopping in general, but I tend to like the outside strips like The Avenue. I can step outside, get some fresh air, and get in/out quickly. Parking is *kind of* a cluster. Yes, there are tons of spots, but the spots are lined up next to each other rather than having a lot devoted for parking. Some people may hate this, but I personally don't mind walking a little before shopping. Most shops here I enjoy looking in and shopping in. Can't complain. I think most people would enjoy perusing through here for fun.... I do. I honestly think my mom and Grandma come here monthly for most shopping needs. Marietta is growing so much they try to stop by every place before heading home. I also think if I lived in Marietta, The Avenue would be my main place for shopping. This is my favorite place to shop in the surrounding area. While they do not have a large department store and the variety that you see in a full fledged mall, the selection of stores that they do have is quite good They have all he clothing stores I need for both men and women: Banana Republic, Gap, Talbot's, Chico's, and several others. For household goods, they have a Williams Sonoma, Bed, Bath and Beyond, and Pottery Barn. Sometimes having a slightly smaller selection of stores actually makes it easier to shop, as you tend to look around less and save time. The best part of this shopping mall is its outdoor setting and convenient parking. It's very easy to get in and out, and the layout of the parking makes it very easy to park right near to the stores. There are no long walks like you experience at indoor shopping malls. They have a good selection of restaurants, and a couple of newer interesting places I would like to check out: Brixx and Cheeky. The only thing I don't care for is the Muzak that they pipe through the shopping area and the kitschy statues. With the outdoor setting, they could benefit from having restaurants with more outdoor seating, so that it becomes a really nice place to hang out on a nice day. read more

I'm new to Marietta, and love having this mall nearby! It has a great selection of stores, and because it's an outdoor mall it never seems crowded. It's also nice to be able to shop without all of the mallrats that seem to be at Town Center. It has nice shops that are towards the higher end of the scale Because it is an outdoor mall, I guess Blake is right that it could be construed as a strip mall. But the trees and landscaping give it much more ambience than a normal run of the mill mall like Town Center. read more

Bottomline, the parking lot is a disaster. Way too many spaces for the site, with too narrow lanes to boot. Your best move is to park far, far away -- in the "corner" near the entrance -- and walk everywhere. In fact, on nice days, you are better off parking over at the still mostly empty Dick's center and hoofing it over. I'm serious. It is that bad. Your car WILL get dinged and you WILL almost get run over/run someone else over if you frequent this center enough. read more

I don't get this place, Full of the same old chains with the exception of maybe 1or 2. Seems to be missing a nail salon and tanning place to make it complete. The only way you are going to get to it is in your car, so whats the open air for? Emulate europe you have to get to the bottom of why such designs exist. SOMETHING'S MISSING! This shopping center has potential. It simply needs more stores and restaurants. I was actually here looking for Belk but apparently it closed a while ago because I saw no signs that it ever existed. Some of the stores that they offer are Bed, Bath and Beyond, Michaels, Talbots, Famous Footwear, Banana Republic and a few others including spa services and cosmetics. For me, it was simply an odd mix but I did like the layout and I did enjoy walking around the property. It is what I consider destination shopping meaning I wouldn't shop here in general but if there was a particular store I liked I would simply come for that particular store. It wasn't really my cup of tea but perhaps it's yours! read more

I've only been to a few shops of this outdoor mall...and too bad Borders has now gone out of business and is no longer there. The shops I frequent the most are Bed, Bath & Beyond, Bath & Bodyworks and Panera Bread. It's an outdoor mall, with a signature mall stores. The reason why I like outdoor malls is that I can get in and out faster to the store I like. Parking can be a bit challenging since you may not get a spot close to the store you're going to shop at...but so far, I've been lucky to not have to walk far. read more

The Avenue at East Cobb is a little outdoor shopping mall featuring a nice selection of stores. I personally gravitate to Banana Republic, GAP, J Crew, Pottery Barn, Origins, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Williams Sonoma every visit. There are some smaller boutique-like stores and a Panera Bread if you need to refuel after a little shopping. The Avenue does seem to be missing something since Borders closed shop, so hopefully they can find a good replacement soon. Other than that, this seems like a pretty solid place to shop. read more

The Ave at East Cobb is my new secret. (Forgive me if it's old news, but I live in Buckhead and have been to Cobb county maybe twice in my 22 years in Atlanta.) But gee if there is shopping like this out in the 'burbs I seriously need to make the trek OTP more often! I really have no idea what roads I took to get here or where it is really but I came here looking for a specific item in a specific size at Loft and like any other place where there's good shopping the one specific item turned into an all out spree. So you've got all your large retail chains for all your business caj needs - Talbots, Ann Taylor, Loft, Gap, BR, J. Crew, White House Black Market You've got your home goods - Bed Bath & Beyond, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn. You've got your chill spots - Borders, Panera. But most importantly and what makes it awesome and sets it apart from your typical mall is that it has some of the best boutiques I've been to in Atlanta ever - check out Francesca's Collections, Sage, Southern Soles - all unique and moderately priced. And they've got the only lucy store in Atlanta (awesome brand of women's athletic clothing), and a fresh produce sportswear store. All stores whether chain or boutique have plenty of sizes even your 00Petites, your 24s, and your Shorts and Talls which in my experience is always sold out or never even ordered. Only downside I see is a lack of appealing food options - all fast food, this place would be so much more fun to spend some serious time at if there were some good sit down options. read more

They have quite a few good shops really close to the east cobb area. I think its great to have this hear because I can go to stores I would normally have to go to the perimeter for. It has been a great place to shop for clothes and other items and grab lunch. Its basically a small outdoor mall. read more
