I think, as a mother, that it was one of the best decisions my husband and I made. They have assisted us in potty training, manners, socializing, and pre school lessons. The classrooms are clean and organized. The teachers try to take the kids out as much as possible - so dress your kid to play outside! The teachers play games with the kids and have interactive learning. My oldest was almost ready for kindergarten before he even started pre-K because of his great teachers! Prices are fair and the staff is very flexible, understanding, and caring. Both of my kids like it there and I like knowing they're safe, learning, and having fun!

Very small portions given to the children, no Milk is provided during the day unless you provide it. complains if child is hungry outside of meal times. Meals are not something most children would eat (rice and beans). Menu is of no use to you since he does not follow and rarly provided to parents. Never enough food given to children and they are not allowed seconds. I provide lunch and snacks each day and still there is issue with what he is allowed to eat and what time he is allowed to eat it. Teachers are the only good thing that has happened to this center. Once they realize how poorly it is run they go to other centers to work. Look around for a new center!

I love that the center provides a holistic approach to play, to lessons, and most importantly to the children's nutritional needs. They provide organic foods and products, as well as, use many locally sourced dairy, fruits, and vegetables when available. They feel strongly about decreasing our environmental foot print by keeping a vegetarian menu and building healthy eating habits for our little ones. Even though they are located in the city of Troy they also make sure the children get plenty of time outside to explore and appreciate this place with call home. A great day care for some, but not every child…read more My soon-to-be 3 year old is 90th percentile height and weight, physical, and has a communication barrier due to learning two languages at once. Fair to say, he is not a normal kid. But after a few weeks at Eco Baby, it became alarmingly apparent that the day care staff is not equipped to handle him. His aggressiveness had gotten to the point where other children feared to be around him. From our experience at home, with friends, and at other day cares, we do not find this extraordinary aggressiveness to be normal. When I asked if they were able to give him special attention, they said "We don't have enough people to do that". When I asked if they get him to the playground, they said "We don't go if we don't feel like we can get there safely". Their response instead was to document each instance of aggressive behavior. They never told me for what purpose -- I am paranoid that the documentation was more for their own liability, and an excuse for expulsion, than for my child's developmental sake. We withdrew immediately -- it is not fair to our own child or to everyone else's to keep him in an environment where the lack of control from the teachers results in pariah-status for my child at such a sensitive developmental time. If you are a parent of a non-aggressive toddler, you might think that my child is beyond the average for aggressive, or that maybe we are somehow bad or violent parents. But if you yourself have an aggressive toddler, then you understand that a child's aggressiveness, yes even the extreme aggressiveness of my child, is not something to blame yourself about. You know that your child simply needs extra attention to correct the bad behavior and divert that energy into something positive. And what a joy your child becomes when they put their energy into something positive! My review is for parents like you, which is simply that this day care is not prepared to handle your child, and it will be a negative experience for you, your child, and others.

Great staff, big rooms with natural light, a playground (multiple) out back, CONCOURSE ACCESS for indoor walks and travel to the NYS museum (not like there's ever a need for an indoor walk in Albany), outside twice a day as toddlers, outside every day as babies, they use the parks near them and enjoy picnics in Washington Park or the sprinklers in Lincoln Park....I always felt safe and comfortable with her at CP, and when I picked her up she would often be very busy playing, even at the end of the day. No teachers on phones taking pictures of kids to text to parents. No screens, no swings, no bouncers. They have their methods and they involve really respecting the kids.

They provide exposure to art, music, sensory play, reading, and outdoor time, they are in constant communication with me during the day updating me on how she is doing, what and when she eats, what she has been doing, and any other questions or updates needed. my family and friends with kids have all remarked that they have never seen a daycare that provides so much exposure to different activities. the teaching staff is constant and reliable so we know everyone who is caring for our child. knowing my child is not only being cared for but thriving in this environment makes it tolerable to be apart from her during the day while I go to work.

The staff are all incredibly friendly, and they are very flexible in accommodating to your needs. I took a pottery class for three weeks, and I had a blast! It was incredibly fun, and the instructor was super awesome! I really loved it. I wish I had more time to work with the instructors, but my schedule did not allow. Love the friendly atmosphere, and I got to meet so many creative people while practicing during the open studio hours. I do wish they had longer hours so it was more convenient for me schedule, but I understand this was mainly fitted around school-going children. They have a lot of cool workshops for kids, and the instructors are all very amazing from the art that I see the kids produce. There are so many different things they offer! They also allow adults a lot of resources and space to exercise their own creative projects, which I think is excellent. Everything is pretty reasonable, too! I definitely I wish I had found this place sooner! Their mascot cat is also incredibly friendly, and I adore her!
