They gave me an appointment for my son when they knew I was in a bind and had no problem scheduling him and helping out.

Ask the Community - Right Way Driving Center

Would you pick up students from RPI for a lesso and drop off? Are lessons in a car provided by you?

We do provide pick-up services at RPI for 90-minute driving lessons, only. For 45-minute lessons, we would meet at a designated location in Watervliet. We provide the vehicle for the driving lessons as they are equipped with a passenger-side brake.…

    How much are the lessons?

All of our prices are listed on our website at www.rightwaydrivingcenter.com. We have different length lessons and packages listed there.

Just a quick question please, how many hours do I need to spend on the road before I can be allowed to take the road test? I mean if I hire an instructor to teach me how to drive, how many hours is the minimum requiremement?

If you are under the age of 18, NYS DMV requires 50 hours of supervised driving by a parent or guardian, with 15 hours of that being after dark. If you are over the age of 18, there is no requirement for the number of hours you must have to take…

I then booked 3 lessons with him once a week for 3 weeks in a row before my road test.

So finally after reading the reviews online I have decided to contact Ronny at Albany Driving School for my third road test. Within 5 minutes of starting my driving lesson with him, I realized that he is heads and shoulders better than the other company. He immediately started to point out flaws in my driving and taught me how to exactly hone my skills so that I can get a perfect score on the road test. Ronny is all about perfection. He will work with you over and over again until you get it right 100%. Even 98% is not enough for him. This can scare a lot of people off, but if you need to pass the road test, you absolutely need to be perfect and Ronny is the guy who would continue to work with you until you perfect your driving skills. While any other instructor will reserve their feedback or give up if you keep getting it wrong, Ronny will keep on your case until you get it right. Honestly I cannot imagine a better driving instructor out there. If you need to pass your road test and are on the fence about taking lessons from Ronny, let me tell you that if you do, it will be the best decision you could possibly make. If you spend sufficient time practicing with him, he will make sure you pass. He will not give up on you and genuinely wants you to succeed. I passed my third road test all because of Ronny and I would highly recommend him to anyone who can take constant feedback and act upon it to improve it.

This is my personal review. Ralph Sanchez. Graduated on April 19th and passed my CDL Class A exam…read moreon my first attempt. I came into this school with a mindset of i cant fail because this is what I wanted to do, I came from the auto industry as a car sales man, I had never driven a tractor trailer with a fifth wheel before, when I got there I was like wow am here, we had 14 students in my class. A few had never driven before a few had class b and were transitioning to class A. Instructors like Ligon, Rosanna, Pat, Jim and Steve and the main instructor Phill did a amazing job on teaching me how to operate safely this rig. I couldn't do it correctly for the first week I was getting frustrated and I thought maybe this wasn't for me, they settled me down, broke down everything for me step by step. And on my second week of training it all started making sense, everything I learned on the class room to pass my permit test and everything they thought me to pass my driving test on my very first attempt. Everyone was very helpful specially Phill and Ligon on straight back, offset and parallel maneuvers ,And Rosanna on the driving when you go on the road with her you will learn the mustard and mayo technic of staying in your lane .. Thank you Nico my recruiter. And shay my class manager .. I start my new job as a class A driver this following month in June.. also my classmate helped me out a lot. I recommend this school to all who really want something new in their career and trust in the system it works. But you also have to put in the work ..

Was not very impressed with this business. My son took driving lessons here and the gentleman that…read morewas said to have owned the company was the one who gave him driving lessons. The only problem was that he never actually ever let him take the wheel by himself and drive the car. He does charge $50 a lesson which is a good price but he needs to allow people to actually learn how to drive and actually feel with the vehicle feels like or else they're never going to understand how to drive a vehicle. My son spent $300 and really didn't know much more than when he started which to me was concerning. but what was more concerning to me was when my son was coming to me telling me that he would have to stop during the middle of his our session I'm driving so that the instructor or the owner of the company could go drop paperwork off at his place of business I believe it was. Does seem to be a reoccurring thing happening more often while he was driving on his lesson. Now if you take 5 minutes to go run something into an office and come back out to a vehicle and you do that 12 times that's an hour that you paid for and you didn't drive. That to me is being dishonest needless to say my son is no longer with this company but I felt that I needed to write this because I feel that he should learn from his mistakes and do things differently from the way he has been doing it. if he chooses not to then his customers need to know that that's the way he's doing things and they need to decide whether they want to give him their money or not. That's just my concern from a concerned father.
