Grateful for Aversa Plumbing! So my mother has been suffering anxiety about some plumbing fixes that have been over due. As we are pooling resources to keep house alive she asked me to find an honest and fair plumber after having had some unsatisfactory past experiences. One of the problems I think she made was to rely on a referral service that may or may not get paid by the listed plumbers to promote them. Instead I turned to 'Yelp' for user reviews and the one I chose 'Aversa Plumbing', had many reviews and a great rating as opposed to most others having a great rating with only a single review, which for obvious reasons is not reliable at all. We made an appointment and 'Joe' came the next day and he gave me a very fair price (much lower than the previous plumber who did not leave us with the impression he could do us an affordable solid job). Not only was Joe Aversa super quick, clean and affordable, he also used some of his time to fix a few annoying repairs I wasn't ready to hire someone to do yet, without changing his quote. This is a really good dude. My mother was thrilled and we have heat upstairs and hot water downstairs again, just in time for winter. Joe first came to our house well after normal business hours when we experienced a concerning, unexpected leak. We were new in town and only had been in our house for a week, so we were scrambling to find a trusted plumber. And we definitely luck out. Not only did Joe fix our leak in the basement, but he was able to spot numerous other plumbing issues throughout the house. He patiently talked us through what he was doing and why, so we were in the loop throughout the whole process. He even came back a few days later to help us update our kitchen faucet. And, on top of that, he was able to connect us with other tradesman in the area for our other projects around the house. So we live on a well system in Monroe, CT. We had a company recharge our neutralizer system, but did not warn us that the vermiculite bed during flush out could cause water system issues. Almost immediately after servicing was completed, toilet fill valves began running continuously (trying to keep filling) which would have drained our well. The company doing service claimed they had not seen this -- yeah right. Anyway, I called Aversa plumbing in Monroe, CT, Joe was FANTASTIC, he came over after what we could tell was a long day, fixed our issue and explained what happened, he even help us take photos to go back to neutralizer service to get compensation -- amazing. I own a restaurant in Newtown. My hot water heater started leaking profusely so I called Joe at Aversa. Within a few hours a new heater was delivered to my front door and within an hour one of Joe's men was installing it. Things went very smoothly and I was able to reopen the following day. Aversa plumbing is professional and the young man who installed the heater was top notch. He cleaned up after himself and worked very dilligently. I kept asking him if he wanted something to drink or eat and he just kept right on working. Outstanding company - I'm a person who reads lots of reviews before hiring and they were all very good and now I know why. Joseph and his sister communicate well and keep you informed when he wIll arrive (which was when they said) Joseph did a great job replacing our well tank and recommended a much better way to install the filter now we have great water pressure. I had Joe come to my house to look at a plumbing issue I had. After a quick analysis, he determined the cause of the issue was due to a problem that didn't need any fixing on his end, and as a result he didn't do any work or charge me anything. He could have been less than truthful and did the work he originally intended to do (and charge me hundreds), but he didn't. He was very honest and up front that he didn't need to fix anything. I had a hidden drain pipe under my kitchen sink leaking in the wall...apparently for a while. I contacted Joe on a Saturday to ask about looking at it. He gave me the option to wait til Monday to save some money since it wasn't an emergency. He arrived on time, found the problem and offered options to get the job done. We contacted Aversa Plumbing due to a last minute emergency (our water boiler was not working due to a recent snowstorm - which meant no heat or hot water) I gave Joe a call at noon and he was at the house by 430 however we were not home and he made a second trip back to the house at 730 in the evening. This alone illustrated great customer service. Once he arrived he began to troubleshoot the boiler, checking all points for faults he was able to determine the issue and resolve it within 45 mins charging us a reasonable price for an evening call. Our well pump failed one morning a few days before Thanksgiving, I made a call and Joe and his assistant were at our property by early afternoon of the same day. The job was more complicated than expected and they had to leave for some time and obtain some additional parts. They returned later that afternoon and worked into the early evening in cold pouring rain. I was at the Trumbull Home Depot and could not find a specific Delta faucet screw on the shelves. I saw his Aversa Plumbing shirt and asked if he knew where I could find this part. We spent a few minutes looking on shelves unsuccessfully. He asked if I had a few minutes to wait and he would check his truck to see if he happened to have one. I don't typically leave feedback but this company was worth it to me so I'd like others to know how professional these guys were. I called them for some emergency plumbing work as my tenants radiator was leaking pretty badly and I needed a plumber asap. Lost heat on Christmas Eve night. By Christmas morning the house was pretty cold. Left a voicemail for Joe in the morning and he got back to me within an hour and was at my house within 20 minutes from our call. He spent 6 hours on Christmas day dealing with the problem including leaving to have someone meet him at warehouse to get an additional part. THIS GUY KNOWS HIS STUFF!!! Joe is very a very busy man, but its because he is the best. Even if you call and get a voice-mail he is very quick to reach out to you and set up a time to come and fix whatever needs fixing. If you have an emergency he will make the time to be there ASAP.
