I spoke to a lot of different plumbers and Mike sounded the most knowledgeable and had the capabilities to do what would be necessary to fix our issue. We had a very shaky toilet that another plumber "fixed" 5 months prior. Mike got down to the bottom of the problem and gave me updates on what he was finding every step of the way. There were some major issues that needed to be fixed and Mike did not take any shortcuts, he was very transparent from start to finish. Called Mike from MD Plumbing and Heating this morning due to gushing and gurgling sounds in our baseboard heating system. He called back a few hours later and said he had an opening. He arrived about 15 minutes later. Mike diagnosed the issues and explained what the issues were and what parts needed replacing. He figured with parts and labor the repair would be $700.00 so we gave the go ahead. He went and got the needed parts, returned quickly and got to work. He was very quick and showed me each old part as he removed them. They were all in horrible condition. So mike finished up, got the boiler going and made sure everything was working correctly. MD Plumbing & Heating replaced our kitchen sink. The effort entailed removing a garbage disposal unit, a two basin sink, and a water heater unit. Given the age of the old units and the configuration change we intended much could have gone wrong. MD Plumbing and Heating was recommended by a business we had used to replace our furnace with a heat pump system. We were pleased with the work done. While there were some oddities about the existing configuration and the suitability of the sink we had selected, the work was completed quickly, looks good, and there are no leaks. We felt that the price charged for the work represented good value. And, in spite of the complexity, the vendor did the work for the price quoted. I had another plumber and a couple of Cesspool people coming in the past few years but MD Plumbing is the only one who made a correct diagnosis to my problems. During his last problem solving, I learned that my home (like most homes), has a very important "Fresh Air Pipe" but my pipe stopped bringing fresh air to the system due to the fact that my Vinyl Siding contractors found it simpler to cover the fresh air entrance with vinyl shingles instead of installing the necessary air entrance gadget outside the house. We called MD Plumbing & Heating based on the previous reviews. When we found out we had a gas leak and NG turned off our gas, we needed to find a licensed plumber to find and repair the leak. Mike came the next morning bright and early - on a SUNDAY. He found several issues with our gas lines and repaired them skillfully and professionally. As new leaks were found, he handled them the same way. He kept us informed every step of the process. When he was done, he managed to fix a faulty toilet valve as well! Through this multi-day process, he was timely and never made a mess in our home. His pricing was very fair and he's also a really nice guy. I installed a new toilet upstairs and the pipe started leaking. Apparently the pipe below it was a "lead bend". It had cracked on the top. It went into some impossibly complicated junction with the kitchen sink up in the ceiling downstairs. If I had screwed this up I would have been in a world of hurt. So I called a professional. I am at the end of the kitchen remodel when I called MD Plumbing and Heating after a kitchen contractor failed to properly install my toe kick heater on a Saturday. I came home to a house that smelled of gas so I had to shut off the heating system. I called on Sunday expecting just to leave a phone message but Mike answered the phone. He was professional courteous, and friendly. I arranged to have him quote the work. He arrived on time and went over my options for repair and explained the necessary items that would be needed. I felt confident that Mike knew how to do plumbing work and had the skills to back it up. I hired him for the installation of the toe kick heater which occurred on Friday and hoped that the failed installation of the toe kick heater by my kitchen contractor did not cause any major problems with my heating system. I wished the answer was no but upon final installation and test of the heating system my boiler was dead. I had Mike quote a replacement boiler since the old one I had was 20+ years and replacement parts were nonexistent. He came on Sunday and installed it. I am happy to say I have heat again in my house. The new one is smaller and the new piping and vent work is professional and clean looking who knew a boiler could look so good. I have all the items the old boiler never had shut off valves that you can reach without having to be on a ladder for both water and gas, on/off switch for service and I know longer need a drip pan for water. The bonus is Mike called on Monday to make sure everything was working properly that is good customer service which is hard to find. I will be calling Mike back to finish the plumbing work in my kitchen and for any other plumbing work I need to have done. read more

I found Mike on Yelp and I'm so glad I did. We needed a plumber on short notice to replace a broken toilet in my parents home. Mike promptly returned our call, listened to our problem, told us where to buy a new toilet and what kind to get, and did the job for a very reasonable $185. My parents are old and leery of plumbers since the last guy who came and replaced their kitchen faucet basically took advantage of them and ripped them off. Have used MD Plumbing twice. The first time had a serious leak under the sink couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Mike came showed us it was at the connection to the main drain where the pipes had deteriorated. He fixed it and viola no more leak.
