Had another interaction that was the complete opposite of my original review. One of their technicians damaged some equipment by incorrectly replacing a cap. Not a big deal. Stuff happens. Spoke to the Service manager to get it rectified and he said there was no proof that they damaged it and I would have to pay to have them out again. I found a new company that was able to fix it. We had our well pump break about a year ago. Foley's was simple to get in touch with. They were highly communicative with highly competitive pricing. Most importantly, they were able to get someone to fix the well pump the following day. The technician worked efficiently to replace the pump. We had a house full of painters, so luckily we didn't have to go sans water for too long. read more

Our septic pumps alarm sounded last night indicating that they were not functioning. This morning, I called Foley's and left a message for a service call (today is Sunday). Shortly thereafter, Anthony called and walked me through how to get one of the pumps to work so we could use water for the day until he could come out tomorrow to inspect the pump that wasn't working. Anthony was patient and very knowledgeable walking me through the temporary steps over the phone to have the system function for the remainder of the day. On the 5th call, I got upset with the new worker b/c I told him to wait for me (they never send the same person twice) and he slipped and said he was just told to reset it, then showed me how to reset it, then I realized that's all they were doing every time I called and charged me $400 each visit! read more

I had the best experience yesterday with this company. We woke up to get ready for work and discovered we had no running water in the house. A good friend recommended Foley's and then we remembered that 23 years ago they helped us out when our builder went bankrupt. We needed to complete the work the previous company refused to finish due to issues with the builder and Foley's took the job. The representative promised to get someone out the same day but that it would probably not be until late afternoon. To my surprise, Carl arrived late morning and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Besides begin knowledgeable, courteous and professional he was just a really nice person. Excellent service. We had our regular annual service call yesterday. The techs that came out were 100% respectful and careful and adhered to the social distancing and wore protective masks and gloves. I called two competitors of theirs to see if the pressure tank needed replacement and neither one told me it was necessary. Now I feel I can't trust their opinion. read more

When my storage tank sprung a leak on a Friday afternoon I called Foley's. They put me on an emergency list and showed up in 2 hours. The original tank was nearly 25 years old and was installed sloppily. I expected the new one to be installed the same way due to the emergency situation. Much to my surprise it was not. Old fittings were cut and capped, new lines were neatly run and valves and pipes were replaced as needed. The Guys were polite, knowledgeable and professional. Working as a General contractor for 35 years I never hesitate to reccomend Foley's and thos is why. read more

I am in the process of becoming a licensed foster mom for the State of CT. Part of the process includes a well water test to check for any bacteria. The State has a contract with a particular lab they use in the area to collect and test the water sample. The person who arrived on Sunday did not appear to know exactly what he was doing. He seemed a bit confused. Unfortunately, on Monday, I received a call from that lab to say my water test came back positive for coliform bacteria. Because I wasn't confident that it was an accurate test, I had never had this problem in past tests, so I immediately contacted Foley's. They had someone at my house within an hour to take another sample. This time I knew the test collection was done properly because the aerator was removed and the faucet was flamed prior to collection. That was not done by the company who was here on Sunday. Foley's understood how concerned I was about the bacteria, knowing I will soon be bringing foster children into my home. I decided along with Foley's concurrence, to have them complete the chlorine treatment in advance of the new test results. In less than two hours, Foley's sent two more technicians to my home to administer the chlorine remedy. Rob was wonderful at explaining what additional steps I needed to take to purge the chlorine from the well after the 24 hours had lapsed. Paul, who came to collect the sample was also a professional and personable individual and great representative of Foley's. In less than 48 hours, Foley's notified me that the test results were clear if bacteria. In retrospect, I probably should have waited before doing the treatment, but I didn't want to waste any time. I will never go elsewhere for any situation that involves my well or well water in the future. Even if it means I will not be reimbursed for the cost, I would rather spend a few dollars rather than go through the unnecessary hassle and headache because another lab didn't know how to properly conduct the test. Lesson learned, if I want it done right, I'll go to Foley's. read more

On a recent Saturday afternoon with guests visiting we suddenly had no running water and figured it had to do with our well. We immediately called Foley's as they installed our well in the 1960s. Within a few hours they sent out Jeff And Connor to assess the situation. They assumed it had to do with our well pump and promised to return in the morning with the replacement parts. Excellent service, great people. I have been a customer (for water filtration) since 2006, and have had nothing but exemplary service from Foley's. This past weekend (Sunday, 21 AUG 2016) I had the misfortune of waking up to no water! I checked what I could, and called Foley's. Within an hour I got a call from the on-call technician, who said he would be there by noon. Long story short, I had a new well pump, and water by 1:30 pm that same day! The technician and his assistant could not have been nicer, explaining everything they were doing throughout the process, and patiently answering my questions. Technician was excellent and a fast worker. Pump warranty was not honored. Less than five years prior Foley's install the same pump. I was hesitant to use same pump but assumed it was under warranty because the Gould Co. (Xylem Co. Inc.) warrantees their pumps for five years. I later found out from Foley that they do not honor the 5 year warranty. Gould Co. confirmed that the vendor has the right to impose their own terms. Before the pump that was also installed by Foley in 2013, the pump they removed had been there for aprox. 17 years. In hindsight it appeared that besides the age the older pump was also straining due to sediment that had accumulated in the well over the years, as evidenced by the frequency that I had to change the in-house sediment filters. The replacement required even more filter changes, plus I added a second one. Foley installed the replacement in 2013 to the same depth as the one they removed and were inclined to do the same again this summer - without measuring the well depth. After measuring the well at my insistence, the tech installed the new pump 20' higher by replacing one less 20' section of pipe. The pump they removed had a great deal of small rocks and sediment. I have since learned that there is a screen that can be put on well pumps as an extra layer of protection. I cannot say how much difference it would make. What I can say is no sediment screen was installed on either pump installed by Foley. If you find yourself needing a replacement pump you might consider purchasing the pump elsewhere and hiring a professional to install it. Make sure they measure the well depth prior to dropping in the replacement. Several vendors sell Gould Pumps - and those that I checked do honor the Five Year warranty that Foley does not. One of these vendors, AquaScience (www.aquascience.net) sells the same pump for $646 with free shipping and a 5 year warranty. Foley charged $1246 for the same pump that had I purchased it elsewhere would have been covered by warrantee. read more

Compete rip-off artists and shoddy work that will have you paying for 'maintenance' every couple years. These guys 'accidentally' mis-installed torque guards so line was sliced through and they covered none of the cost to fix their shoddy work since their business model seems to be these misinstallations that keep the money rolling in. Have since switched well service after same thing happened again two years later!! My out of pocket was cost of two new wells in just four years while one well, if properly installed, should have lasted at least 10 years!!! read more

The job was done as requested, however when technician arrived, there were a few things that I no longer needed done from the time I made appointment via phone. I was just a bit upset because the tech never took note that some things were not to be charged because I had done them myself.
