I took my 2014 Chevrolet Cruze into Avery in late 2025 for a continuing check engine light at least three times. After three visits and $650, they still couldn't find the problem, which turned out to be defective intake valve lifters when I took the car for GM Service at my dealer, Botnick Chevrolet, where the total bill (including front brake pads) was $2112. Avery used to be a good place nearby to my house for service and repairs. No longer, I believe their service has really degraded. I am never returning. read more

Family run business. Their mechanics are knowledgeable and friendly. The staff is a team! They do excellent work. They're honest and upfront about any issues or repairs. Their prices are fair. They are respectful and honest with their female customers, they don't treat us like idiots when it comes to our vehicles. They tell us everything we need to know about the vehicle that we're driving so that we're safe on the roads. They Claim they check ALL FLUID LEVELS AND FILL IF NEEDED !!! That is a LIE. wife took her car there for brake service and oil change, and aftr spending almost a thousand dollars, she left to go to work (18 miles away) and just before getting there the water temp light came on, she pulled over and opened the hood, smelt burnt rubber smell and steam coming from side of engine (front wheel drive). Looked at overflow for water/anti-freeze) and was completely empty. Had vehicle towed and come to find out, no water/antifreeze in system, burnt seal and ruined engine. Avery claimed it must have had a leak, not their fault. Really ??? Avery claims they check all levels and fill when needed and just having an oil change would really indicate they did not check squat !! Tom G is the one who worked on car, so just BEWARE. Matt also has lied about things in the past. Was using them since day one when they opened for our family vehilces. NO MORE... WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE !!!! read more

Rear brakes on my van were metal to metal. I called Avery Auto on Wednesday afternoon and they told me they could replace the brakes and rotors on Friday. Well the grinding got so bad I decided to drop it off at the shop on Wednesday afternoon because it just didn't feel safe to drive. I got a call Thursday morning that they had pulled it into the shop and saw it needed front brakes too. They also discovered that one of the lower control arms was severely rusted and a danger to drive. I had them do the repairs and it was ready at 4:30 that afternoon (a day early). They also saved the old part so I could see the damage myself. It was expensive but well worth it. They may have saved my life and that of others had that rusted control arm given out and I had an accident. I highly recommend this business. read more

Super rad and nice guys! Easy and upfront communication, called at 1:30pm to inquire about oil change and ended up pulling out of their lot with fresh oil before 2:30pm. I can no longer recommend this auto repair business. I had to have my transmission filter replaced involving removing the tranny pan and replacing the filter and fluid. I had the job done there and a week later almost all the fluid leaked out from the pan onto my driveway. I brought it to another garage and the mechanic told me whoever put the pan back on didn't tighten the bolts! I also had two new tires mounted and balanced there and afterwards they kept losing air. Had to have them remounted and rebalanced elsewhere since the original installer didn't mount them properly. Not good experiences. read more
