I'm disappointed to share that I had a very frustrating experience at this store today. My husband…read moreand I came in to return a pair of AirPods we had purchased just the day before. We were originally able to price match to Walmart's price and were hoping to exchange them for a new pair, as the ones we bought had a static sound issue right out of the box. When we approached the electronics department, two newer employees were unsure how to assist, so they called over what appeared to be a team lead. Unfortunately, this individual--Elysia, who wore glasses and had tattoos--was extremely rude and unprofessional from the start. She asked us--rudely and with attitude--why we were returning the item. We explained multiple times that there was an issue with the AirPods, and all we wanted to do was return them and purchase a new pair using the same price match we were given the day before. She dismissed us, saying she couldn't price match because it wasn't showing in her system, despite the fact that it had just been honored the previous day. Her tone and demeanor made us feel disrespected and unwelcome, and it was clear she wasn't interested in actually helping us or even trying to understand the situation. What made it even more frustrating was that the employee who helped us the day before was incredibly kind and helpful--there were no issues at all with the price match, and the process was smooth and professional. I have never had an issue with this kind of situation before, but today's experience left a very bad impression--especially coming from a team lead. We even heard the people behind us ask for a price match on a remote controller. If Elysia couldn't help us with a price match, I'm not sure how she would be able to assist anyone else with one. It's clear she doesn't have the proper etiquette or training to do so. She easily could've handed this issue off to someone capable of resolving it, but she chose not to--and her actions made that clear. After this interaction and being treated with attitude, we kindly took our business to San Jose--a whole other town away--and did the return there with better satisfaction and customer service. We could have easily returned the item and taken our business to Walmart--but we chose Target because we expected better service. Disappointing, to say the least.

Love the store, hate the new protocol for ringing up. I can appreciate it's probably because people…read moresuck and steal. HOWEVER, it's incredibly awkward, annoying and desperately needs improvement. The way the registers are set up are cubbies on each side of the monitor/scanner/pinpad. This is so you can unload on the right side, scan in the middle, then in the bag on the left. The way this store is doing it, is the employee stands there awkwardly block the left side of the register, waiting for you to put your items on the table, max like 5 items because the table is very small. She scans, then hands it back to you...one. item.at.a.time. I am not even over exaggerating, this has happened the last 4 times I've been here. So not only am I unloading 5 items at a time, but I have to wait there for 1 item to be scanned then handed back, then I put it in the bag, until the table is cleared, then I add another 5 items and so on and so forth... If 5 below is adopting this new policy of having employees scan your items, wouldn't it make sense for them to then put them in the bag too? I mean...how does this model work when it's busy? It was actually insane how awkward and slow this whole ordeal was, it makes me not want yo go back and that sucks because my son and I like to go pretty frequently. I wouldn't even mind if an employee stood right next to me while I scanned each item. That would actually be less awkward than this ridiculous new setup.

Employees inside could see me knocking and trying to get their attention - but I was ignored. I was finally able to get the attention of the associate that helped me with my check out... he told me they were not allowed to open the door. After several walks up and down the aisle he found it. But again said they couldn't open the door. Manager could tell I was upset, and hesitated to unlock the door (was just single bolt lock). She unlocked the door finally and took multiple pictures of my phone and needed my ID (even after we were able to unlock the phone and showed her we had access to everything with passcodes). Not sure what the big deal is with unlocking the door. I told her if there was an emergency that's a pretty scary policy to not be able to unlock the main door. Still daylight... won't be shopping here again. Something so simple turned into a 30minute ordeal.
