Trust me Carlos is best!!!!!! My brother is so tall that it's harder to find his clothes because he is tall but slim. We went to Macy and outlets and couldn't find anything. So we gave this store a try and it was best decision ever. We find a pants for my brother and he alter them for free. He also gave us best options for shirt and we found a shirt for my brother and he alter them for free. It was soooooo goood and I was sooo happy that we able to get pants plus have a good fitting. We went into the store last Saturday morning. We were greeted by Carlos who was very knowledgeable and courteous. He took special care of my elderly soon-to-be Father in law. He offered us all bottles of water and let us take our time looking at the formal wear rental books. Never pushy at all. Lots of these places are. We settled on a dark gray suit with tie and Carlos mentioned that for $30 more we could buy the suit. Decision made! We then found shirts and ties and were measured for the suits. Carlos makes me look good! Ive been to his store many times, But haven't had the chance to come in for quite a while. Jan 2016 our real estate company was having a black tie party at The Fairmont in SF. I wanted a white tuxedo jacket as I lost my black one. I had the black pants still and I have never owned a white jacket before. Carlos had a few to choose from. I went with a higher quality one, since i knew ill have it for years to come. Im glad I did! His years of experience, genuine interest in his customer, attention to detail, and passion for his profession make Royal Clothiers the only place I will ever go, wherever I live, for looking my best. Carlos provided and tailored tuxedos for my wedding. My father and all of my groomsmen looked their best, since so much care went in to fitting and sizing for each of them. I can't believe I haven't written a review about Carlos and his store yet. He is very friendly and attentive, always helpful with alterations and advise, and never pushy. I've brought in slacks that I'd bought years ago to be taken in and he did the alteration for free in just a few minutes, just long enough for me to find a new blazer I had to have at a good price. The store is not large, so the stock is not huge, but if you find something you like he can get it ordered and delivered very quickly. I shadow the fellow comments..he greeted us immediately and let us know he was there for questions but never pressured us. He joined in very pleasant conversation, gave very valuable advice based on his experience and we were shocked to see that the suits not only were a better quality, but were CHEAPER than anything else we had looked at. Royal Pain In the A$$ First let me state , I have to leave one star because Zero is not an option. I went into Royal Clothiers today with the intent to purchase a new Tommy Bahama Shirt. I entered the store and noticed no one was present. Moments later I hear a voice in the back room ...Whomever was tending shop was in the back on the phone. Moments later a head peeked out from the rear doorway phone placed firmly in ear. No Good afternoon....Hey be with ya in moment.....Nothing.Just a look that said this guy doesn't give a hoot who is here ,just so long as no one running out the door with anything......or was it the fact that I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt .....and in his opinion just didn't warrant the attention he deemed necessary ..... Well needless to say I walked out. Not a single Item did I Purchase nor would I ever Consider Making a purchase in this Establishment...... I personally believe in supporting local Business ..But It never occurred to me that the present economy is so good you could pick and choose your customers as matter of convenience. If I wanted to be treated with indifference, I could have gone to the mall . P.S: Thirty Minutes later , I spent $300. at the Men's Warehouse On Cochrane. Treated very well and a great experience.
