My hair always looks beautiful and I always leave feeling so good about myself. I walked in the door and was greeted by a young sales associate who asked me if they could help me find anything. I pulled up a picture of exactly what I was looking for and I had already done my due diligence and researched that ulta did in fact carry the product. He looks for a second and assured me that this location does not carry the brand design essentials at all. I almost walked out but decided to look around myself since I did go out of my way and I really needed this product or something similar. I walk to the back and find hair care products that look like they cater to black women and amazingly there is an entire section of Design Essentials. I quickly locate the product I needed and headed to check out. After arriving at the checkout I am instructed to put in my phone number. I inform the young lady I have never purchased anything from Ulta and did not have a rewards membership. She asked if I would like to sign up and I declined. She then informed me that I could not make any returns without being a rewards member. Overall I was more annoyed with the policy and the lack of knowledge of the sales associate. I'd rather someone admit they don't know or ask for help than just confidently tell me their store doesn't carry the very product I found a whole display of.

I have NEVER been treated poorly by anyone at the desk, on the phone, or in the chair. The irony is that her name is Karen. She said she had been going to this shop for years. Wow, what a way to support a business while they are dealing with a tremendous loss. Clearly, they were doing something right up until this time, or she wouldn't have been going "for years." Insert an eye roll right here. Connie does my hair, but I have gotten to know all the girls in the salon and would trust any of them with my hair.
