Still, there is a little window you can peek through to see some of the machines put to use behind the scenes. And the cheeses? Well, take it from me, someone who manages to maintain 80% of his body weight through cheese and cheese alone, are fantastic...and abundant: tons of spiced and smoked goudas (Italian herb, herb and garlic, jalapeno, cumin), fresh curds for homemade poutine (danger...), and even fetas and little known German styles that can act as a substitute for cream cheese! The main store sells everything from cider to meat pies and everything in between! The family filled atmosphere was refreshing and the customer service was unlike any other corn maze. Everyone was so kind - especially if you get lost! They gave out maps to help show you were the varieties of apples were. The hay ride was a blast - and surprisingly long! They helped people with strollers and trouble walking up and had no trouble with any of it. Definitely one of my favourite apple picking experiences! We will be back next year hopefully for the haunted maze! Can't wait!

And it's well worth marking it in your calendar for a wonderful day trip. The restaurant has a fabulous menu - you must try the blueberry poppyseed dressing - on a salad, or chicken - like the smoked chicken quesedilla. They even have a children's menu. But our little ones were too little (not to mention messy) to eat in their beautiful dining room. Not a problem though. There are picnic tables just outside right next to a Koy pond and some of the gazillion blueberry bushes where you can take out a sandwich or bring your own picnic. And speaking about blueberries. This pick-your-own farm is so big, they actually have a big, air conditioned bus to take you around to the best spots to pick and then collects you after you fill up your buckets.

Unless it is really cold or windy I suggest you sit outside. Most people were sitting inside so we had the porch to ourselves and it was definitely the best seat in the house. Overall it is great but I would say that the mains are all almost exactly $10 overpriced. It was about $80 between two of us for appetizers, a main and splitting a desert. So you pick for a hour and, even though they could have told you "cash only" when you arrive and they direct you to bushes, they don't. No cash, they don't take cards. So they say Bye! No apology, no "run to ATM and come back with cash, we'll wait. They were rude and unhelpful. Go somewhere else to pick! We won't go back.
