I am here as we speak and I will tell you one thing that is the gospel truth. I would love someone to come and talk to me. I'm in 111B. You have the greatest human beings and I've been in quite a few hospitals February. I'm gonna be cancer free nine years with stomach cancer. The food here is atrocious and the most important thing to me is Food because I had cancer stomach. I did a 13 hour robotic surgery with Dr. Shoshana Ross in Tampa And I don't miss a meal but I have to eat all day. I can't eat the first meal I get I am begging you to be the change to get these people food because you've got a stellar group day and night oh and by the way I put a coffee maker in a toaster in where the refrigerator is that will open wide breakfast for them we have to get it fixed and I want help. They're amazing. If some of the words are messed up, I've never typed with my thumbs. I speak everything and it doesn't understand me Sundays. My parents and I open the first medical supply store in Pascoe County. My dad had over 400 beds one at Heather Hill and the other. I can't even think they open the second One community hospital and leaning tower of Pizza. My mom was the first of anybody in this area to offer breast Possis and we carried Hollister Hollister ostomy supplies . It's all good what I wanna tell you. Kathy Ibbetson Boy can I help? That's the most important thing to me? Nutrition here a salad or anything that gets them motivated. I can help with the Food. Ideas. You're never gonna get their full potential until you have options for them to have good food and it's really simple . it is a mess for everyone because there's other choices oh kill physical rehab in the hospital you can choose from the menu. You have to do that and one of the other most important things is you push a buzzer and they come running it doesn't even have anything where you can say what do you need.. that is the basics. read more

I have to take back everything I said in my other Review. I think the nurses and nurses aid were getting tired of my friend complaining. When I was there, they gave him a dose of Dilaudid. He fell asleep in five minutes. Apparently they gave him more Dilaudid overnight. When they came in his room in the morning, they could not wake him up. Thank God, they came and checked. They had to call paramedics in order to wake him up and they took him to Oak Hill Hospital. I myself would not go here. I know he will never go there again. Staff was super nice! Especially the administrators. Lori made our life easy for sure.

Most nursing homes get a bad rap due to staffing issues, reports of subservient care, lack of cleanliness and professionalism, etc. I understand that. As a former nurse and current social worker, I was incredibly surprised that this wasn't the case after a few weeks of starting employment there. Everyone has their own subjective opinions and experiences which is understandable. I found the staff to be friendly, attentive and caring. The facility is pretty darn clean and amenities such as the physical therapy room and recreational rooms are welcoming and impressive. Although on the smaller side, the social service workers are always willing to stop and listen to resident concerns, despite them being overworked and super busy. The medical team/NP's are intelligent, up to date with new protocols/treatments, have good bedside manners, and appear to be in the field for the right reasons. I don't write reviews due to the subjective nature of them, however, I wanted to share that there are still a few good places out there and not all nursing facilities are awful places to live. There are still a few good gems out there and the majority of the professionals in this field really do have compassion for the elderly and love what we do. read more

This facility is a fraud. My mom has been at this facility for over a week. She has gotten weaker and weaker by being at this facility. She has welts on her behind from being in the bed all day long. They do not take care of the elderly at this location. We asked for a discharge by social services. Lynn at social services did not do the discharge until 24 hours after requesting. They are trying to get more money from the insurance companies by leaving the patients at this facility with no care. A formal complaint will be made to this establishment. This is a Nursing Home not a rehab center. The exercise room closed due to covid 19. The place hasn't had a remodel since 1980 furniture wear is very noticeable. I was there a whopping 2 hours then my husband signed me out . They could do mire at home then in this place read more

As healthcare insurance dictated, our mother went to Spring Hill Health & Rehab due to complications from knee replacement surgery. Spring Hill arranged for transport & said they would pick her up from the hospital around 2:00pm. Transport arrived 10 hrs later at 12:30 am. Since the hospital released her in the afternoon, she did not get her nightly medications. Spring Hill Rehab refused to give her necessary night medications as they said the day nurse needed to do the medication assessment. On top of this, the room that mom was put in was deplorable. The walls, furniture, & bedding were stained, paint was peeling, & the room smelled musty. There was a tiny a 13" TV screen, that that no elderly person would be able to see or hear. Our mom was ambulatory, with assistance of a walker, but staff made her wear a diaper. She felt mortified by this, as she was fully capable of using a bathroom with needing assistance getting on & off the bed. When she informed the staff that she is able to use the bathroom they said she had to wear a diaper as Spring Hill Health & Rehab only perform assessments during the day. The bathroom tile was covered in black mold, stains surrounded the toilet & stains inside the toilet. We believe they keep 1 room in pristine clean condition to show guests, visitors & the Health Department. The dirty rooms appear to be ignored by cleaning, maintenance, & health department staff. If the health department ever saw this room they would close this facility. We took mom out of there as fast as humanly possible. If you care about your loved one, do not use this facility for anything! read more

My grandmother was transferred here after she had a fall at home. The goal was to get her up and walking again and back home to her family. When she arrived, I noticed that there were no bed alarms. I had asked that she be put in a bed with an alarm since she is a fall risk. I was told none of the beds have those. HUGE safety concern, especially when the nurses and aides are never around. Within 48 hours I had gotten a call that my grandma had fallen (she fell a total of 3 times while being there). Lord only knows how long she was on the floor before someone found her since she did not have a roommate at the time. I would walk in to visit her, and her food tray would be on the opposite side of the room, not touched, and cold. Even if she was hungry and wanted to eat or try to get to her food, it was not even within reach for her to do so. I would ask if she ate and was always told she did not want to. I would ask for her tray of food back and to be heated and when I put the tray in front of her, she would eat about 70% of the meal! Fast-forward a week later and things just kept getting worse. On Sunday 07/24/2022 I had gone to go visit my grandmother. The second I walked into her room I noticed her face was all swollen and red and her neck was 3 times the size it should have been. I instantly freaked out, ran, and grabbed a nurse and asked what had happened. They had no idea. Her neck was hard as rock, warm to the touch, red, and swollen. She had brown crust all over her mouth and lips, no water at the bedside. Every time we were there she begged for a drink. I would get her water and was so satisfied. Her nails were filthy, and most were broken and hanging. Her face was peeling, she had black things in her hair for days until we asked them to bathe her. Things only got worse from that point on. The next day, Monday, I went to visit her at a time they did not typically see me there. I opened the door to the hallway she was in, and the nurse looked at me, said something to a CNA, and then they both ran into the room. I walked faster to see what was going on, they were then propping her up and making her look "presentable" I am assuming. I saw that her brief was coming off and the nurse quickly fastened it and covered her up. Fifteen minutes later, my grandma is screaming in pain, moaning, and saying she had to pee. I told her to pee and that she had a brief on, and it was okay. She tried to pee and cried hysterically. I have NEVER seen my grandmother cry. I pulled the blanket down and she was covered in her urine and feces and the bed was soaked! The nurse knew this as well because she ran in the room, and I watched her buckle her brief quick and then covered her. I did not think anything of it at the time when I saw her buckle it I just figured they just changed her. I ran out to the hallway super upset and told them she was covered in feces and urine and that she needs to be changed as well as her bedding. She moaned the whole time they changed her, every time they touched her or moved her slightly, she cried. I could not handle it anymore and had to step out. To think she was in that much pain, and nothing was being done, I was never notified. I instantly got on the phone and called hospice. I requested something for the pain she was experiencing and was denied. Eventually Hospice was called due to the rapid decline. Once Hospice did their evaluation that same day on 07/25/22, I asked to be alone to say my goodbyes before hospice took over and administered comfort medications. As I was in the room grieving and crying, I am then approached and asked for money for the days she was there. I was floored. They knew hospice was there, they knew I was saying my goodbyes, that was not the time or the place for those questions. She made it to hospice yesterday, and the nurses were in shock with the condition she was in. She had bruises all over her body, the worst one being on the top of her right foot. Upon getting the catheter inserted, they discovered her bladder was rock hard. She has a severe UTI and is now in septic shock. Whatever is in her neck, probably an abscess, has double in size. I was told today that they believe she was neglected and abused, which I completely agree with. The medical examiner is going to evaluate her for abuse and negligence. I refuse to let these people keep killing people. Trust me when I say, this place is a death sentence anyone who comes in contact with this facility! read more

My mother was transferred to Springhill Rehab after a stay at the Oak Hill Hospital. She could have overlooked the dated building if her care and the attention to detail had been present. While she quickly identified a few staff members that were responsive, most of the staff was sub par. She had a very difficult roommate and she asked repeatedly to be moved and was told they were working on it and although she saw empty beds, they refused to move her. Her roommate kept the curtain closed all day and blasted the television in a high volume all night. Rehab is supposed to give you strength and prepare you to live independently. With the exception of her PT session, which did not happen until day three, they were very happy to leave her in a bed or wheel chair. On one occasion she waited 40 minutes to be assisted in the restroom. A patient's body also needs nourishment and the food was not fit for an animal. Mush of various shades of brown and smells that she cannot forget made eating impossible. My mother is one of the lucky ones to have a spouse to wheel her outside and bring her lunch and dinner. After meeting with a case worker, her discharge was approved after a hellish week. I am happy to report that my mother is home, using the bathroom, has complete control of her body and doesn't rely on a walker to get around. She is a success story with no thanks to Springhill rehab. My recommendation is go home if you are lucky enough to have insurance that can segue you to independent living. So read more
