It's quite a nice little park with a pedestrian bridge going over the Barren River. It seems to be situated along part of the city-wide bike trail, so I'm excited for warmer weather to take the bikes out for a spin and stop back by! I'm happy to see BG making efforts to have and maintain these parks for the community. Worth a stop by if you're passing through and need to stretch your legs or live nearby and need a break!

There was one car that looked like they were packing up their kayak, but another two cars of people hanging out looking like they were up to no good in the woods, but did eventually leave. Overall: I will visit this spot many times in the future. It's peaceful and wonderful just walking the bridge overlooking the view.

This is a very nice newer area park in Bowling Green. Lots of paved and gravel walkways, with an…read moreexcellent locally maintained mountain bike trail known as Low Hollow. This past weekend, this area hosted amounts in biking and trail running event called The Low Hollow Trail Fest. There's a lot of variety in this trail, with some straightaways and some very technical areas. If you go out, watch for muddy spots (and try to avoid those) as water can congregate in some areas of this park. Also, there is some fishing available as well here. I would warn you not to venture too far into the tall grass if possible. I don't believe this area had been treated and our dog managed to find 15+ ticks out there this weekend. Parking is ample, if you manage to find the right parking lot.

Cons: It was very hot and shade at the playground was limited, but there was plenty of shade by the pond and other locations throughout the park. No bathrooms that we saw, only portable toilets. Looking for a place to have a picnic lunch after the Corvette Museum and before visiting the Lost River Cave. This is a park along Cave Mill Road. The full name of the park is Bark Park at H.P. Thomas Park. It is off the north side of the road and has a large area to the entire park. There is a small parking lot with spaces for about 20 cars. There is a building overlooking a green that has bathrooms and several tables under the patio away from the parking lot and overlooking the fields. The sign for the park was slightly hidden by the overgrown shrubbery. There are large fields directly in front of the building and a dog park that is off to the left as you face away from the road. The dog park seemed rather busy with many people parking and bringing their furry family for playtime at that part of the park. It was a very pleasant place for a picnic with convenient facilities and good location under cover. A solid place for a pleasant break in the Bowling Green area.

They have hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken fingers and fries, nachos, and a pulled pork sandwich. They also have soft pretzels, popcorn, and peanuts. Other items too, but those were part of what I considered buying. Spent around $50 for tickets for 3 people and around $40 on food for three (pretzel, nachos, and chicken tenders and curly fries). Could have done without the food, but no one had dinner before the game. Food and drinks were on par with a stop at Mellow Mushroom before the game. The experience is excellent for families! During the week, games are less crowded. The staff is friendly, and the team is playing quite well - 3 home runs yesterday and posted a W! If attending during the day, don't forget some sunscreen.
