Used to bring my kids here 30+ years ago, before it was Aviator. Nice driving range, miniature golf in front, pitching machines on the south end. It's still a nice way to spend a few hours driving a bucket of balls, but it's fallen into a bad state of disrepair. Cement is all cracked, broken windows, more weeds than grass. Balls are probably 20 years old place is falling down! What a disgrace. The mats are terrible and need to be replaced the lights barely work. Putting greens are like dirt and the chipping area is miserable. I would recommend going to Marine Park golf course if you are looking for a driving range it's much better and cleaner. read more

You can't beat it!!! Inexpensive spot to work on your golf game. Putting area isn't great but that's because of the geese. Driving range and the staff are cool and very accommodating. Anyone who complains about this place is looking for something to complain about. read more

Worst quality everything. 30% of your bucket is cut up or balls from 1968. So forget actually practicing The grass tees are all sand, so that's not an option. It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon and my son and I decide we've had enough of the beach. We decide to go to the driving range at Aviator. Over the bridge we go. We've been here before and head for the golf shop to get a token to buy a bucket of balls. Uh oh there's a line and the metal gate is drawn down!!! We're informed that the golf ball machines aren't working well. The kid running the place has decided to close shop! No problem...let's practice putting. We grab the putter and some balls from my car and head for the putting greens. Well it seems that they've been a bit neglected. Crab grass and bald spots But undeterred we're determined to forge ahead! I show my son the technique and he catches on quickly. He hits the pin eventually from 20 feet Wow a natural! And that's on a sandlot surface! Ok Aviator we're disappointed you gotta do Bette!! read more

Two words: Nitty Gritty. So nasty. Pass Pass Pass. So many problems. They don't take cash on top of it. Other places at least take exact change. They even charge you a credit card fee on top of the sales tax. Anyway, it appears to me that so many things are broken, damaged, falling apart, in need of repairs, etc. I have been here years ago, and it used to be in so much better condition. All run down. If you have the opportunity to go somewhere else, then go somewhere else. Paid about 15 bucks for large bucket of balls. Also they don't lend out clubs anymore because they don't want to pay to sanitize them between uses.... also exposed wires, unsanitary dirty bathrooms, damages to facility that appear to be years in the making. Even broken pavement that hasn't been repaired,,, all Not related to COVID, but rather poor facility maintenance. Shameful. read more

What happened to this joint? I mean seriously, what happened? I used to come here as a teenager in the 80s and early 90s, and it was a blast. Great place to spend a day, driving range, batting cages, mini golf, arcade, light food, everything a teen can want to spend some time with friends. Since Aviator took over, this place is a joke. Only the range and mini golf remain, though there is a small grass tee area now where the batting cages used to be. The staff though, if they had less of a pulse I would have called 911. Mini golf looks like it was last cleaned about 10 years ago, nobody around, you have to get the stuff from the main office, and then schlep down to the mini golf, where you'd find a rather dirty and disgusting course. Everything Aviator touches dies. Places like this really deserve to be owned and operated by locals, or at least by someone who gives half a crap. read more

Worst driving range I've ever been to. Number one complaint - the balls look like they've been there since the 70's. Filthy, broken, etc. The staff is completely apathetic - this morning, there was a guy collecting balls right in the middle of the range with a rake and a bucket. So apathetic I guess he doesn't even care if he gets hit. The response from the guy in the office was "you can hit away from him". Jeez... The office looks like there are homeless people living there. In short, it doesn't look like Aviator has put $0.50 into this place since they took over. read more

The less big golf course at Brooklyn Golf Center (also known as mini golf) is nicely located across from Floyd Bennett Field and easily accessible off the Belt for us Queens folk. The course is a cute little 18 hole track, plus the 19th bonus hole, where the player has the opportunity to win a free round of they can putt the ball up a little jump and into the hole. Near misses are so painful as me and my playing partner burned the edges on both attempts. The visual water pools on four holes are obviously not in play for the golf, but there on the course for aesthetics were not doing well, as one pond was bone dry and the other was looking stagnant. Unfortunately, there are no visual structures like in some up state or out of state mini courses, perhaps a creature like a such as T-Rex's or a volcano's would go very well there, windmills, waterfalls, crocodile mouths, something along those lines. Kids totally freak out over such structures when golf is involved. (which Simpson's episode was it where Bart and Flanders's kid played a grueling mini golf game?) My guess is that ownership they would feel they would suffer some damage if they were installed, maybe the cost it too high maybe not. I wonder. The putting areas on the course were in need of a good leaf blowing as the attempts at the cup resulted in many bounces off twigs and leaves. Some of us come out here tp play for some serious money, where every putt counts.. lolol.. But the truth is that If I ran the facility, you can bet I would have a young employee or two whom I would pay a fair wage to, out on the grounds (mini golf to driving range) every hour and a half at most looking over the grounds and sweeping or leaf blowing the areas in need. The driving range has ample stalls and it was so wide open, barely anyone was there an a beautiful mid afternoon in September, perfect weather to work on your game. The golf balls have the feel of rocks, but if Brooklyn Golf Center were using a mid to high level practice ball, they may just disappear. The targets to fire at are abundant, so you can really dial in your distances especially your wedges, the most important thing to work on at the range in my opinion. The pro shop was not very well furnished and the man staffing it from behind the counter did not acknowledge me nor remove his eyes from his news paper. Toilets were fairly well maintained, food was from a vending machine which I feel they could improve upon at some point with the mini golf course that attracts families with children is a mere one hundred yards away. Great parking, as I mentioned earlier, not crowded as so many other practice ranges are these days. Considering it is about two miles from Marine Park Golf Course, I intend on practicing there and then teeing it up at Marine Park as the price is better and you can pound your driver, which you can not do at the golf course. I couldn't have been any happier that this mini golf course re-opened after much needed renovations and it has surely paid off! From a water fall to little wannabe Japanese bridges to re-pavements of the green, this place is like a new penny. For $8, you can play with your significant other in that fun, loving competitive way OR you can play with your friends who are just straight up competitive and have apparently been playing mini golf elsewhere and kick your losing ass royally. The neon colored balls really tickled me flipping pink when I practically grabbed the lime green ball from the attendants hands. 18 holes - benches every few feet for the nights when it gets packed - vending machines if you need to really recharge your electrolites - get a hole in one on the 19th hole and get a free game! read more

Great place to just hit golf balls. For $11, you can get a bucket of 105 balls and just blast them for a good amount of time. I believe it is usually open until 11pm, but you have to get there by 10ish if you want to be able to hit on the range. It's never crowded to capacity so you're always guaranteed a tee. It's a fun change of pace for those looking for something different, even a great place to go on a date. read more

The Q35 bus that goes here surprisingly runs quite often. You can get in front the Target on the Junction which was very convenient. cross the street after the golf and the return bus stop is right there as well. This golf course is very difficult. I normally get multiple hole in ones but managed only one on this course and had max outs on multiple holes . The holes were nicely designed and you do get an extra 19th hole at the end for a free game which was nice. If you are a big golfer, there is an adjacent driving range so you can bring your clubs and swing away. Special thanks to GROUPON for saving me a couple bucks. read more

My friends were heading here to chill. So i decided to tag along on a Sunday night. They closed at 11pm because it was still warm out, i went late fall 2012. it was my first time at a golfing range. I didn't know what the heck I was doing but I had fun hitting the golf balls into the field. For $11, I got a bucket of 105 balls which last me for about 20-30 minutes. My group and I stayed for about 2 hours. Therefore, i brought 3 buckets. oh there were irons for rental. it was $2. In case anyone decides to come here last minute without equipment. The golf driving range is currently known as Brooklyn Golf Center. Been here a few times, always feels like a treat playing here. It is such enjoyable experience hitting the balls underneath the shade, in a warm sunny day, with a slight ocean breeze on your face.... The location is super easy to get to, take the exit 11 S off the Belt Parkway and a few hundred to your right is the entrance to the huge parking lot. The staff/owner is super friendly and the rates for a bucket of balls is very reasonable. In addition to the range, there is an large putting green with real grass, along with chipping area, sand bunker around the green. So don't forget to bring your putter along! A great place to hang out with your golf buddies and spend a relaxing afternoon hitting balls. read more

Came here with some friends to have a go at the driving range. Note that we're definitely rookies and just doing this casually. However, I had a lot of unexpected fun. It's good fun to try and hone your skills and forms for a few hours. The space is abundant and the balls are cheap (105 for $10, and a driving club rental for $2? $3?). There's also a parking lot, and albeit far from public transportation, it's very accessible by car. We stayed here for 1-2 hours and 100 balls lasted me that entire time (once again, because we are rookies, we were fooling around). I'd recommend to try your hand at it - even if you're completely new. It's a lot of fun! read more

It is impossible to exaggerate the poor quality of the golf balls that are sold at this location. No decent golfer would return. The balls are simply unhittable, worn out with no dimples, scarred, ugly, worthless. It is as if it were a burger joint selling burgers whose meat was rotten and full of maggots. The demand is there for a high quality driving range in Brooklyn but these people have no idea of how to run one. A small investment in new balls, discarding ALL the worn out ones, would hugely increase their business and they would quickly recoup the initial investment. read more

Aviator is requiring a $5 deposit for a rubber tee they buy in bulk for about 25 cents. They're probably hoping you don't come back . The reason? "everybody is stealing them", says the frustrated guy behind the counter. I guess it never occurred to them when you run a facility like they do people assume you don't care. Alley Pond golf center doesn't have that problem. In fact i don't know any driving range in the area that requires a deposit for a rubber tee. They recognize if they want to keep their customers a little thing like having good mats with rubber tees is an INVESTMENT. Oh, but i forgot...if you saw the pictures from today you'll see they don't have good mats either. read more

They should change the name of this place to Avaitor DIVING Range. This place is a dump. It has the potential to be a premier practice facility, Unfortunately the folks at Avaitor don't have the insight or imigination or planning to see this. A step in the right direction would be to get new mats and new balls --- that's it. Then, decent target areas. They could work on the cosmetics later. Proshop, stalls, parking lot, vending machines and maybe food stand. Touch up the stall covering, etc. No plan , no imagination. Hire me guys -- I make this place a goldmine. The day was a little cool and drizzly so there weren't a whole lot of people there which was quite fine with me. The price for a large bucket was reasonable (forget the exact price) and the attendant was friendly. The lack of a crowd made it easy for us to all practice together. The stations were in good shape and driving the balls were easy enough. I will have to bring my shoes with me next time to truly get my best swing. All in all, it's a relatively quick trip to a nice break to take a few swings. Will have to come back for their mini golf. read more

Came here with some friends for a game of golf. It's a bit dingy but still inexpensive and a good time. For $8 you can play with 18 or 19 holes with challenges along the way. If you're a beginner I think this would be something worth doing. I had no clue what I was doing but I still had a good time. read more

This review is for the mini-golf area since I don't play big people golf :D Nice layout and at $8 a person it was a good deal. 18-holes and each one was tricky and fun. They had a mini waterfall and some shallow pools around so it adds to the aesthetics. They also have a hole-in-one game after the 18th tee, you get a free game if you make the shot. Remember to bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent- I got bit up around the 17th play. It does get a bit crowded around 1pm so get there earlier. read more

Pick up mini golf tickets from the same place you pick up Go Kart tickets. Did a little mini golfing with some friends the last few days of summer. It was a cute little course. We were there as the sun was fading though so a few extra lights on some of the holes would have been nice but overall it was a good time and a neat little course. Couple of times the balls went through the fence but it didn't get far and we managed to get them back but that just kind of added to the fun. If you're looking for a just a cute silly fun time with a date or friends I would definitely recommend it. read more

I have been going here for years when it was Brooklyn Golf Center. Apparently Aviator took it over last October. The condition of the place when I got here on a Saturday in July was shocking! My husband was told that they are working on sprucing up the place. What have they been doing the last 8 months???? The field where the balls are hit is overgrown and it looks like it has not been mowed and maintained at all. At 10:00AM the balls were all over the field and I wondered when they were last collected. The women's bathroom, though clean, had no toilet paper at all!! The buildings look shabby. And the worst of it all? They raised the prices and giving customers a lesser quality of services. Completely unacceptable. Aviator, is this the best you can do? read more

this place was F@&*ing garbage. They didn't even have real tees, and you could barely hit a ball with the noise of the fans. The tokens they provide for the bucket of balls are unsanitary and because they don't even wear gloves when they give them. Also, although its required there they don't enforce there policy of wearing masks. It was a terrible experience and I would not recommend it. read more

The driving range is in the worst shape it has been in years. Aviator has done very little that I can see to upgrade this facility after purchasing it from Brooklyn Golf Center. The mats are the same ones I was hitting off of 10 years ago, the putting green is overgrown and infested with ant hills and mosquitoes. There's only 1 teaching instructor, and in the 4 times I've been there this year I haven't seen him a single time and the only information about him in the pro shop is a handwritten post it note with his initials and cell phone number. The icing on the cake: There are 2 rubber driver tee's in the entire facility. When I complained to the gentleman in the "pro shop," he apologized and told me they were supposed to be delivered that day and not to worry. That was last month. As of last night, still no rubber tee's to be found. I don't appreciate being lied to, or not being able to work on my driver. I would have given this a 1 star if it were not for the gentlemen who round up the empty ball buckets. They are courteous and hard working. The pro shop has also taken a nose dive. There are no accessories to buy. Brooklyn Golf Center used to have signature hats to buy, clubs, gloves, balls, grips etc. I was very disappointed because when I heard Aviator had acquired the property I was excited and expected them to inject much needed upgrades to the facility, but as far as I can tell, it's in worse shape than how they found it. Great facilities for a cute, cheap and impromptu mini golf date with my love sponge. For 8 bucks each, we saddled up to the register, got 2 golf clubs, his white ball, my purple ball and a score sheet, we prepared for battle. Some of the holes can be tricky and if you don't test the breeze from the ocean with your finger before putting, your ball could go out of wack, costing valuable strokes added to your score. At the end of the course, there's the 19TH hole. If you get a hole on one, you get a free game without having to pay 4 bucks for replay*. For a family affair, the price is 4 bucks for kids under 12, and a junior golf club for them also. On the other side of the course, there are options for putting balls to test your stance, strength or just getting some frustration out. I'm sure if that was me, the ball would still be where I left it when trying to hit it.. FOUR!!! *I didn't get the hole in one, but I did leave with a couple of mosquito bites. read more

Written from a golfer's standpoint.....I can't speak for putt-putt or anything party-wise.... But I've experienced better. The pro shop has absolutely nothing in it. No golf balls except for cheap Wilson's. The Mizuno club rack had 4 wedges on it. Nothing else. Used clubs for sale existed of 80s no-name versions that had been hacked to death. The photo on their website is very misleading - it says it's stocked. It absolutely is not. The range itself is mostly dirt. They have a few pins to aim at in the middle and a few bulls-eyes made of wood. The range is longer than most at 225+ so thats good for the bombers but I'm not one of those guys. Most of the time my hits landed in a giant lake in the middle or in the dirt and bounced around at bizarre angles. The mats are terrible....really used and kicked around. You have 1 tee height option and its WAY too high. The short-game area was well-tended though. Very grassy. Putting green grass was too shaggy. But most greens in BK are pretty bad on the courses regardless. Probably won't be going back unless it's my only option. The big plus is the prices are good for range balls. read more

I was at the driving range two weeks ago and again I was totally disappointed. The place is so unappealing: nasty looking, most of the mats no tees, disgusting dirty balls and many were old and cracked, putting and chipping areas totally overgrown. I purchased a large buckets of balls and at least 1/3 were sooo dirty. Guess they can't afford to invested in used range balls. Aviator took over the driving range, maybe 2 years ago, and I do not see any improvement/s. I was there last year and it is the same if not worst. I WON'T be back!! They can do better... read more

I had gotten a deal from Groupon, $8 for two people for the mini golf center. I had done something similar (golfing) like this in AC and it was cool. I decided to take my bf who has never golfed before. We went on a Sunday afternoon, it wasn't too packed. And we had TONS OF FUN!! It's something to do if you just want a chill and have relaxing day. It's the little things you have fun with, with the right people/person of course makes the experience worthwhile! I would def recommend this spot! read more

Went here with a groupon for mini golf. Had been here many years ago for it. It was about 9pm on a friday night and the mini golf was completely empty. There wasn't even anyone working in the mini gold building area (you get the club and ball at the pro shop which is fine). It was not the best lit area and we couldn't even find the entrance to the mini gold because it just looked like fences upon fences, finally we realized on of the fences has a gate, and we still had to walk through another. It was a little spooky being the only ones playing at night with the nearest people kinda distant but it was really fun nonetheless. 18 holes of mini golf. There weren't any fun windmills or anything, but the waterfall was flowing and we still had a really good time. I would say we will return to play again, just prob not too soon. read more

Only really accessible by car, but if you can get out there, great place for a driving range. Pretty inexpensive. I haven't done the mini golf but the driving range has a lot of space and has outdoor tees if you can't snag one under the roof. Left handed clubs are the anomaly however, just like at every golf center--the one I had looked like it was made of Fisher Price material. read more
