I slept on Shipwrecked for years, until I didn't. But even now I'm just now coming around to the fact that it's a phenomenal place for kids' birthday parties. Let's run it down: 1. They have private party rooms where they'll bring in pizza and drinks and more for your kiddos. 2. There's built-in entertainment like mini-golf (obviously), a surprisingly extensive arcade complete with tickets to win and redeem for plastic that your kids will love and you will hate. 3. The staff is seriously on point. I'm telling you, they have headsets! They're communicating in real time about where everyone in your party should be, and what needs to be happening. I appreciate you people. 4. There's a BAR FOR THE ADULTS. I can't stress this enough. You know how parents just stand around awkwardly while their kids scream and play and run? Well, it's better when you have a drink in your hand. They've got a solid beer selection, frozen rum punch and pina coladas (see: shipwrecked), and some bottom shelf liquor that the bartender looked into my friend's (the parent of the birthday girl) dead eyes and offered him a heavier pour on the house. This is going to be a staple in my life for the next five years or so, and although I'm sure I'll get tired of it, at least there's a bar. read more

Absolutely incredible theming in both the mini gold and the escape room attractions. We did the haunted mansion-themed escape room with JJ as our host. She was super helpful and kind in the good-spirited (pun intended) in the face of my friend and I literally screaming bloody murder. They also have a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic slushies, plus made-to-order drinks that were quite whimsical, which was a wonderful hospitality touch. If you're planning on doing mini gold, I would recommend starting before 9 pm, because we did not and we barely finished all 18 holes by the time they closed at 10 pm. read more

We were there for a mini golf party, and everyone had fun! Mini golf, arcade and party rooms are on 2/F, and escape rooms on level M. The mini golf spaces are awesome and it's not crowded even on a Saturday, we loved it! The staff members were friendly and helpful. The party room's already decorated so there's no need to bring decorations unless you want to, which is great. The arcade's on the small side, but you can actually keep an eye on your kid if you go with kids. The Chelsea Piers space is madness! My hubby bought us tickets for Shipwrecked at 4pm. We arrived a bit early to find parking. As we waited for the elevator the manager happened to get on with us. The entrance instructions weren't very clear and we were discussing where to go. Even though we were clearly confused and she was right there, she didn't offer any help or guidance, which honestly was disappointing. As the manager, you'd expect a bit more attentiveness to guests but she chose to stay silent. It was frustrating. Especially since we were trying to find our way into the place, but I didn't let it ruin the night. Once we got inside and checked in we were told to wait for our allotted time. We decided to grab a snack. We ordered mozzarella sticks and frozen sangria. The mozzarella sticks were your typical frozen kind with store bought marinara. Nothing spectacular but fine for a quick bite. However, the frozen sangria was amazing! It was definitely the highlight of our order. Hubby and I could've had more of that. As for the mini golf experience the biggest downside was the overcrowding. It felt like they had too many people scheduled at once. We were always waiting for the group ahead of us to finish. Once we started it also felt a bit rushed because there was always someone right behind us waiting to play. I wish the schedule was spaced out better to make the experience more relaxed and enjoyable. Despite the few hiccups we still had a fun time. The atmosphere was great and the sangria was a win. Truly a spectacle of incompetence, and on a holiday no less. One person manning the computer both to pay for tickets and to "sign in" to any experience. He seemingly did not know how to work the computer, and I stood there for 25 minutes without a single person paying or checking in. There were registers by the golf which were unused, and virtually no one golfing, since no one could navigate the sign-in process. My kids wanted to do an escape room but despite there being multiple employees and multiple computers not one person would let us pay. At 2:30pm, I heard them say they were going to close the registers, but they didn't let anyone in line know. Also, the line for the tickets had formed exactly where the only machine to pay for a card to play arcade games was located, so no one could spend money there either. The result: dozens of screaming children and adults and a nearly empty golf course. You couldn't pay me to come here again. This business lost, I don't know, at least $5000-$10,000 today because of their abysmal business practices. read more

Looking for something to do on a hot summer day or rainy, cold night? Shipwrecked is a great place to spend an hour or two on a date or children party. Since it's located in an industrial area, it's not as busy. When you enter, you take an elevator to the 2nd floor, which is quite unassuming if you were just walking by this spot. But then again, what are you doing strolling around this area? Anyways, we came by on a Sunday evening for a round of mini golf. If you didn't make reservations online beforehand, you can buy your tickets or checkin at the prize counter on your left when you exit the elevators. There was a half hour wait until our turn, so we went to the bar and grabbed some drinks. I had the Sparkling Siren ($14), which was too sweet for me. Also tried some of the pretzel bites, which were also overly salty that we were scrapping the salt off of them. For the mini golf, it took us only about half an hour to get through all 18 holes. Since it's timed, the spacing didn't ever feel rushed nor did we have to wait for parties in front of us. There were some fun interactive features throughout the course too. The mini golf was fun, but pricey at $22 per person. Afterwards, we spent some time playing the arcade games. After spending $70, we only had 1100 points and ended up with a few random trinkets. Overall, it ended up being a pretty pricey date night. It's nice to have in the neighborhood when there's nothing else to do, but can't imagine coming back for how much we spent. read more

This is a great and not well known place to play mini golf, Hang out an arcade, and other fun activities. I came here for a party and the staff were wonderful. The arcade area has many different games and prizes you could win with tickets you get from playing games. The mini golf course they have here is fun but some holes are tough. There is an escape room here too I believe. I did not do this one though, so I can't speak on it. I am sure its fun though. This place is pretty awesome. It's in Red Hook so it's in an industrial area right across the street from Red Hook Park. Not easy to get too with subway or bus. Parking didn't seem to hard to find, and it's street parking. You have to take the elevator up to the 3rd floor to check in. The arcade and mini golf and snack bar are on third floor. We bought the tickets for the escape room and mini golf before got there and you have to reserve a time. There were 3 types of escape rooms, a temple, haunted and space station one. We went to the temple one and each room has a 15 min time limit. We were able to get out in less than the 15 min. It wasn't easy but it wasn't too hard either. The miniature golf was pretty fun too. They announce your name over the speakers and you check in with the folks at the snack bar for your clubs and balls. You also get a bag to tokens. They are for certain holes as there's a theme and story as you play which was cool. You can keep score or just play for fun. The snack bar has basic food like pizza, I think chicken nuggets and a few other hot items. They also have candy and ice cream as well. You can also get slushies with alcohol if you chose as well as a decent beer selection. The arcade was small but decent and the prizes were decent too. You buy a game card and your credits and reward points are loaded onto the card. Great way to spend a few hours with the little ones or a group of adults which makes this place even better. read more

Omg !!! Amazing place to have an older kids party. My daughter just had her 11th bday there. 10 kids your own very big personal room pizza/cupcakes/juice and glow in the dark accessories included. Paper goods etc i brought my own to decorate. They let her play her favorite music (K-pop) lol indoor mini golf they get to keep the glow in the dark gold balls. They so 4 rooms. You get two pictures to keep after. And a bunch of stuff for the bday girl. I got beers for the adults and pizza. Everyone was so nice place was clean . Mini golf is always fun if you play it with the right people. So, if you want to play mini golf, this is a place where you can play mini golf and have a good time, assuming your friends are fun. That said... If I were rating the quality of the mini golf itself, it would be about 2.5 stars. The holes themselves are small, which does make sense considering the price of New York real estate, but most holes don't have the obstacles or other features to make up for it. Instead, most of the difficulty comes from the sloping terrains of the course itself, which I think would be really frustrating for a competitive child or an annoyingly competitive adult. Par for most holes is 2 and the highest is 3: these numbers feel like they were made up by someone who hadn't played this course. Even when playing with a group of mildly competent adults, we were all far above par. So this would also probably be annoying for the aforementioned competitive child or annoyingly competitive adult. Some sections do have some video/otherwise interactive features that are activated by tokens that are given at the beginning of the course. However, the videos were too long and, although apparently taken together they form a plot, they didn't feel particularly important? The worst part was the last 5 holes, which were "Brooklyn" themed, in that there were glittery Brooklyn murals on the walls and the last hole was fashioned to resemble a subway. This last hole must have taken the whole budget, because the other 4 holes were decidedly uninteresting, each decorated with a single hole filled with what was possibly intended to be jewels. I'd strongly encourage the owners to spend a weekend and $500 adding something more to this section. While the rest of the course wasn't terribly impressive, this part was just plain disappointing. However, mini golf isn't about the quality of the course, but the quality of the experience. The rest of Shipwrecked is quite wonderful. The arcade has some interesting games and is actually quite cheap; I got 80 credits for $13, which meant that each game was about $1 - 1.50. The snacks impressed. Get the green slush lie (lemon lime) - even without alcohol, it was shockingly good. We split the pizza rolls, mac and cheese bites, and mozzarella sticks after our game. They were $6 each, satisfied four people, and were better than what you'd get for double the price at a dive bar. Enjoying them on their balcony was the perfect way to end a lovely afternoon with friends. The service was also fantastic. Each employee was cheerful and patient. Definitely helped make everything a positive experience. Tips: buy your tickets online (they're cheaper), get snacks, and bring your chill friends, not your weirdly angry when competitive ones. Like I said, it's a place to play mini golf if you want to play mini golf. Although the course itself could use improvements, there aren't many places to play in the city and the vibes are cool, so you should play mini golf here. read more

I didn't know what to expect when my fiancé suggested mini golf here after a sandwich stop at Defonte's - but i was so pleasantly surprised! The mini golf course is 18 holes, high quality, and action packed - there's also a huge alcohol selection if you're into that, but we opted for the apple cider slushees which were amazing. After minigolf we stopped into the arcade, but decided on a mini escape room, and played some games while we waited for our slot. We tried the hardest (and couldn't get it) but had so much fun we immediately went and booked another, which was a Indiana Jones type temple (and won!). Super fun and we will be back for the haunted one. We finished our day by clearing out our credits in the arcade and left with some prizes. Staff is rude and not very helpful. Called in advance to ask if reservations were required for mini golf was told 'no'. When we arrived, we were told that we needed a reservation and that the waitlist was full. Looking around the place, there were only 3 other people in the entire place - not 3 parties, 3 people. Also witnessed the staff giving another customer a hard time about her existing reservation, but she was on-time, so I'm not really sure how they can complain about her not arriving even earlier. Soo I went to Shipwrecked for a Date Night to do something different in the wintertime there are 18 holes, and each one is different with slight difficulties, but nothing that a Master armature putter can't conquer lol .. I went around Christmas time so it was heavily themed for Christmas season. I must say i had a really good time, i love to do Un conventual dates and this was a nice change of pace from dinner and movie dates. when you enter the building, you have to take the elevator to the second floor on the left side you have a nice fully decked OUT arcade room with tons of prizes to choose from when you get enough tickets .. on the rt side is where the mini golf course is . like i said they have 18 holes of fun to experience .. they even had a Ugly sweater step and repeat .. overall i had a good time ill say it takes about an 1hr to 2hr to finish the course .. when you exit the course or before you start the course, they have a lil eating area where you can get snacks , beer and wine to sip on while you golf .. the even have lil drink holder at each hole read more

What a fun place! I didn't know this existed until I was invited by my SO. Its located in red Hook by Ikea and it's a bit out of the way from the train station. I'd say it's worth checking out, especially if you enjoy mini-golf. 15 min walk from the G at Smith 9th Street. We had a food and game combo pre-bought from fever.com. When we arrived, they told us it was about an hour wait for the game. We decided to stay and eat the pizza while we waited. We ended up waiting for our food much longer than anticipated because they forgot to enter the order... when it finally came, I thought the personal pie pizza was alright. Not amazed. The package also came with two drinks (beer, cider, wine). Finally, our number was up and we commenced the mini-golfing! The experience of this really wiped away the mediocre food turnout. The space was well lit to match the ambiance of what the theme was. It wasn't crowded at all and I felt we had at least half the place to ourselves. If you want to experience the adventure story, you pay $5 extra for a bag of tokens. I lost my match but willing to come back for a rematch! read more

Such a great date idea. We did the put put/mini golf with the extra $5 for a bag of coins. The jokes that come with the coins were corny but they were worth a few laughs. The staff by the way was funny and friendly. They had no issue letting me use my yelp discount for checking in and waited for us to finish our drinks (while not bumping us to the end of the line.) The obstacles for put put were close by- I think it is about 16 or 17 different holes. A few were challenging for a put put novice. We had a couple in front of us and one behind us but compared to other places there really wasn't big pressure to finish quickly. When we wanted to try a round again- we simply went back to where no one was playing up next. All in all the experience was neat. The artwork along the way was cool. As an avid golf fan and a long-time player, I was definitely impressed with the convenience, design, and entertainment value of Shipwrecked. It is located near the Gowanus and Brooklyn IKEA so it is not too far from the MTA. I believe I paid $15.00 per person and for 18 holes, it is definitely worth every hole ;) It does not take very long to finish all 18 courses; it took my partner and me about 30 minutes or so due to the sheer amount of people there. Yes, you will bump into my groups of people so pace your self and you can also skip courses to revisit later. Be mindful of the children! read more

There is no recognition of reservation times whatsoever and they will push you behind wall in groups that don't have reservations. Stopped by for a spontaneous date night and had an absolute blast. We went early evening on a weeknight and all the golfers were 21+, although there were a handful of kids when we had first arrived. We asked if we were allowed to bring our drinks on the course with us and the staff smiled and let us know they have cupholders at every hole! It wasn't too crowded and seemed to be mostly other couples on dates when we went, staff was chill and the vibe was really fun all around. The "plot" of the course is funny and engaging, and sometimes the course itself was honestly pretty challenging. Will be back when our competitive edge strikes again :) read more

We had a birthday party for my 9yo there this weekend. Everything was great - very welcoming and accommodating staff, the party room was decorated nicely, staff member took a family picture and printed it for us at the end. The minigolf course is always fun for all ages but I would say not below 6 years old. After the course kids had pizza (surprisingly yummy) and cute birthday cupcakes. An awesome 18 course minigolf! Fun for family and for friends. They have a lot of extra fun stuff going on that I didn't opt to check out including mini room escapes, some sort of video story to pair with the golf, extra treasure on the games that'll have jokes and an arcade in the lobby. The course itself was well done. There are four different rooms that have Completely different vibes. Easy to follow and stands all around to update the score. I will say that the courses got a little monotone towards the end. The major problem with this place is probably its location. A little hard to get to and from the front you wouldn't believe you were at the right place because it looks like an office building in an industrial part of the city. Also they don't allow alcohol on the course but they do sell it at the front. The staff was very present and gave a fun spiel. read more

Went here for mini golfing. Great first date. Make sure to reserve a ticket in advanced to guaranteed a time slot but also they are chill if you arrive a lil late. They are covid compliant so everyone was wearing masks however its challenging to go to each hole in order since some parties take a while but its laid back enough to not go in order in order to keep the queue moving.
