My flight was canceled and the airline provided me a free night here. I have never been to an Avid. It was clean and comfortable. There was an issue in my room with a mechanical noise. I suspect a repair is needed. There was a noise that I think went on with the unit above heating/ac operating. So it wasn't constantly happening, however, it was bothersome. I would have requested another room if I was staying more than one night. I was impressed with the coffee. The had a number of machines that would grind it and brew it on demand. Better than average coffee for a hotel chain. Breakfast was better than most hotel chains too. I got a banana and breakfast sandwich and some cereal. Lots of choice. I stayed here only 1 overnight a couple of nights ago due to a missed flight because of a mechanical issue. When flying more, this tends to happen more. I am very thankful that United let me use this hotel, which was one of three choices. I got a free shuttle ride to and from the Denver Airport. The hotel was only about 6 miles from the airport. I spoke with Elizabeth on the phone to confirm my stay and get the shuttle information. Also talked to her in person at check-in when I arrived. She was very professional! The hotel was nice and clean inside and out. My room 218 was super clean and very nice throughout the room! I had a nice window view, and I enjoyed watching the hockey game on the big screen TV. The bathroom setup was also nice with a cool sink area, good mirror, and a great shower area. I had a really quiet sleep night. In the morning I woke up and remembered the free breakfast was from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. I was able to enjoy a French vanilla coffee, cranberry juice, blueberry muffin, Greek vanilla yogurt, and a hot bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwich. I had to leave actually by 8:30 am, as I had an 11:15 am flight to catch back home. Check out was easy and hassle-free at the front desk as I just gave the guy my room # and 2 room keys. It was a short, but wonderful stay. If I have a chance to stay here again, I definitely will! Highly recommend! read more

Flew into Denver for a quick weekend trip and was pleasantly surprised by this new, hip hotel! It gives me European hotel vibes in how simplistic it is. The lobby is bright, sleek and clean. It offers plenty of spaced out seating and of course an always needed coffee bar. Complementary breakfast is available as well, but is located behind the front desk, so you just need to inquire there. Beware: very friendly staff will greet you :) The room was nice too. I immediately noticed that the floors were hardwood (or vinyl wood?) instead of carpet as most hotels have. I really liked that, it genuinely made the space feel more clean. The beds were clouds, I slept like a baby. Nice, spacious bathrooms as well with a large walk in shower and sink area. Location is very close to the airport as well, with a free shuttle back and forth. Oh and did I mentioned the *extremely* reasonable price to stay here? Arrived here under problematic circumstances. Delayed flight out of Casper, WY. No flights yet that night to final destination. Added nuisance -- luggage also not there. So, hotel stepped up. Supplied toothpaste and toothbrush. Also had a meal coupon. Closest restaurant was a "five minute walk". I use a rollator. By that time of day, everything hurts. Nothing left for a "five minute walk". So no meal at all that whole day. Next morning -- nothing really available for breakfast either. Tried to eat Doritos and have a Coke, but ..... Quite pricey. Big fan of Avid, simple, pet friendly, NEW, and this location is very nice. Don't care for the self-parking charge, but otherwise, the room rate is fine for the market, provided they keep thinks clean and fresh. Perfect simple breakfast and community gathering area. I was very excited to try this new hotel chain by IHG. I have to say I am quite impressed. The rates are extremely reasonable the place is very clean and has a very modern feel. While the rooms are not large they are extremely functional and make great use of the space. There is no Coffee maker in the room however there is a mini fridge. They have freshly brewed coffee at any time in the lobby. I think what impressed me the most wasthe well-equipped fitness center and the fact that they actually were able to provide a warm food option for breakfast. I know that's a challenge for hotels with Covid, and I stayed at a Marriott the prior weekend where the breakfast was quite appointing (packaged muffins, eggs, granola bars and coffee that disappeared later in the day). Options here included a nice warm smoked Gouda egg and sausage sandwich. I'm excited to stay at other locations of this brand and would recommend read more

We weren't greeted upon entry but Danav did come out within seconds of us arriving at the desk. Danav was welcoming and friendly, very thorough about our stay. The breakfast was simple, they had grab and go food for those who don't have time to sit down and eat. We had an omelet and bagel, toast. They do have juices to choose from and coffee. The rooms were really clean, but they do not have a microwave or a coffee maker - but there is coffee and a microwave in the lobby if needed. The beds are SO comfortable, there's a big screen TV on the wall as well. I appreciated the Dove pumps of shampoo/conditioner and body wash since other hotels give small trial samples. There is a shuttle to Denver International Airport (DIA), we didn't utilize the service but I can see how it can be convenient. Hotel is only 10 minutes from DIA. Stood here a few days and enjoyed my stay very much. Interacted with many different staff at different times of the day as we were in and out of the hotel and everyone was so friendly and pleasant. I'd definitely stay here again Pros: They have complimentary breakfast. You help yourself to the things they put out (yogurt, milk, cereal, juices, bagels, granola bars, etc) Coffee is always available in the lobby. Pool area is open but you have to make reservations. Stayed here on Monday Since I had an early morning flight at DIA. The room was OK. However there was some sort of sound coming from the hallway that was kind of high-pitched and made it hard to sleep. There wasn't anybody at the front desk when I went to check out in the morning to get on the shuttle so I was unable to get a receipt. Had to go back to get the receipt when I got back to Denver on Saturday morning because when I called the main number and they said they couldn't help me unless I went back to the hotel. Came to Denver with my husband and stayed 5 nights. Perfect Right by the airport, Within 30 mins of Denver city. Sarai was very nice and personable. Room was decent size and clean. We got an amazing deal on Priceline and picked this hotel because of the location. Pool is open upon request to rent out for 1-2 hours at a time. Only your party allowed. Although it was too cold for us to swim. Breakfast from 6:30-9:30 is a quick grab and go of granola bars, oatmeal, granola bars, bagels, coffee/tea/sometimes juice. They also have some snacks and drinks to purchase at the front. No room service or turn down service, will clean bathroom upon request. My father and I got stuck in Denver bc of the recent snow storm. This is a basic but perfect room. The front staff is so welcoming. The shower head is awesome and powerful water pressure with good Dove soap and shampoo/conditioner with lotion and body wash too. Continental breakfast was good too. read more

SO disappointing all around. The shuttle bus from the nearby airport took an hour- If I had known I would have rented a car or got an Uber. Despite all the notices on the website for this hotel and signs in the bus, the driver was NOT wearing a mask. I mentioned this and he said nothing. We made a stop and picked up a family with kids and THEN he mentioned that he forgot his mask. When we eventually got to the lobby for check in I mentioned this to the front desk person and she just gave me a card for the manger to call tomorrow. I purposely made a reservation at this hotel as they make a point of wearing masks and being a safe environment. Despite this employees aren't wearing masks and no guests were either. The front desk women didn't care and didn't address this other than give me a business card. Once in the room, it is clean and comfortable but lacks amenities- no coffee, no microwave and the soap containers were near empty. The noise level in the hotel is very high. People were running up and down the hallways yelling and pounding on doors. Loud music was playing so much that my desk was vibrating. I called the front desk and she claimed the music was from outside despite it clearly coming from a room. She actually got a person out of his room to come to MY room to tell me it wasn't him. NOT the way to handle this. I was given a new room but the keys didn't work as...there were people already inside the room! I went back down to the lobby for a third room. The walls here are very thin- you can hear doors opening and closing all night long, toilets flushing and water running through pipes, footsteps from the other rooms. Nearly impossible to get a good nights' sleep here. For some reason there are also multiple cars in the parking lot with people with them for hours at a time also making noise. I don't know if this is an area where kids go to hang out but it is not a good place to stay if you want to actually sleep at night and should't be used by people who need a room close to the airport. Breakfast is minimal at best with a machine that makes coffee one cup at a time so there is a line just to get a cup of coffee. The shuttle bus back to the airport was late and nobody at the front desk in the morning to check out and get a bill. read more

This is the first yelp review I have ever left; I'm not really a complain-y person, but this hotel seemed so substandard that I felt compelled to share my experience. I reserved a room with 2 queen beds, but when we arrived to check in we were told that there were no more 2 queen rooms left. All they could offer was a room with a single king bed for three of us, and extra blankets so that the third person could sleep on the floor. (They never did bring those blankets, so all three of us just piled into the one bed.) Another family was at the desk facing the same situation, so this is not just a freak occurrence. Rather, the hotel's business model is to overbook, and then if you are unlucky enough to actually show up after your room has been given away, they will charge you for sleeping on the floor. Afrer extended negotiations, we got them to knock $50 off the room, and a free take-out breakfast. (The manager was supposedly on duty, but did not speak to us or pick up the phone when we called him; he left it to his put-upon desk clerk to offer us these small concessions). When they gave us the breakfast in the morning, it had someone else's room number on it, so the pattern of giving away to one guest what had been promised to another seems to be endemic. My advice is to avoid this hotel, unless you don't mind paying to sleep on the floor. read more

We had to call 3 times and wait over 40 minutes for the airport shuttle. When it finally came, we had to wait another 10 minutes while the driver looked for someone waiting for a ride that wasn't in the right place. This same driver didn't wait even a second , nor get out to look for passengers. The room was not cleaned well, nor was it when we stayed the week before. Nice New style of hotel from IHG. A minimalistic, green vibe sort of like European Model but not that minimalistic, Americans would not accept that. Rooms are basic, no closet, just hooks. Kinda like Kramer's levels idea, they use hooks everywhere. Finding the basic room features like fridge, iron and ironing board is like a game when first arriving. They are stashed in cubes. Hooks and Cubes! Good for business travel. It seems only the kitchen attendant will clean that area. So he comes in and cleans, does his b-fast thing, cleans and leaves. The rest of the day that area becomes trashed until he comes in again the next morning. In other IHG locations the desk staff assists in keeping the area stocked and clean. read more

Basic no-frills hotel with decent gym set-up. If it weren't for the front desk agent, Brendon, I would give this hotel a three-star rating. The shuttle was late, the first room I was assigned was dirty (there were Doritos on the desk, trash still in the bin, and hair everywhere). With that said, Brandon was apologetic and promptly switched us to a different room. He then called up to make sure that the room was to our liking. We ran into him again as we ventured out to get food from 7-11; he showed us the best route to take and was just overall a very pleasant person. We(three adults) booked a room for 2 queens and was told upon arrival that there was no such room for us and they could give us a King and one adult could sleep on the floor with no additional compensation until significant bargaining where we were offered a measly 50$ discount. What happened to this place??? I stayed here a few times and it was nice, easy, clean, people were friendly. Made a reservation on my IHG, called for shuttle, as it was 1:30am (and never had issues before even at this hour). I was spoken to extremely rude. When shuttle came it was myself and male driver that was jamming out to a song about getting all the pu$$y (and don't think it was about cats). Sign says everyone has to wear a mask (which I don't care about) but none of staff ever was and I was told to wear one. Tried to make a shuttle time - was told it was on demand. Came down in the AM to again make shuttle time - told to call 30 minutes prior. Tried calling 30 minutes prior no answer. Tried 3 more times to call - no answer. Came down early to get a shuttle - and now have been here waiting over 45 minutes - and now gonna be late. Staff was rude to me, and other "guests" that were checking in/out, and those calling front desk. My room hasn't been properly cleaned - or at least the bathroom floors and around the toilet there was dried up liquid drops (which I am telling myself was water) and clearly was sticky. Prices have doubled. I am flight crew and living in hotels in my life. This was a good commuter hotel for crew but NO MORE! read more

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was simple and clean with a comfy bed. The quick grab and go breakfast was perfect for our needs, and the front desk clerk greeted us cheerfully at 1 am when we arrived after flight. The only thing that bothered me was the stairwell down the hall off the right it goes out to a sitting area with tables and chairs. We arrived early morning (1am) Friday and left Sunday. The entire time that stairwell and sitting area was left dirty and not cleaned at all. There were cigarette butts all over the ground outside and a few on the ground inside stairwell. The two trash cans were over flowing with trash the very first night and never changed. Same pack of string cheese sat on the outside chair the entire time. The shuttle bus drives past there all day many times, they never noticed the trash cans full and thought to call it in so it can be cleaned? I was flying into Denver very late and needed a place to stay close to the airport. Also, since I would only be staying just half of the time I didn't want to pay too much. I found that Avid had a very reasonable rate as an IHG member and they also provide a shuttle. Well, the shuttle isn't the best here. After calling twice and getting no answer, I got through a 3rd time and was told to wait outside in shuttle area. After about 35 min. I called again and was told the driver is running late. Well after another 10-15 min. and many more people now coming from other flights, shuttle arrives with a van for 3 hotels (Avid, Residence Inn & Home2?). Get to the hotel and girl at check-in was awesome! 5 stars for her customer service! Room was very plain but it worked for me. I was real thirsty, so I instantly looked for water. None in the room and front desk girl said they sold out of bottled water. She did however direct me to a styrofoam coffee cup and a water fountain. The next morning I headed down to the breakfast room to get me some coffee since there was no coffee maker in the room. Once I got there I realized I hadn't eaten since the day before and was pretty hungry. After grabbing a yogurt, I saw front desk guy walk by with a tray full of breakfast sandwiches. I asked if I could grab one since I was already on my way back to my room, and he just looked at me and kept walking. So I followed him and once he stacked quite a few of them on the warming tray I reached in and took one of them. It was not in any way aggressive and I made sure to keep as much distance, but front desk guy still didn't like that and he turned and gave me the rudest look ever! I think my experience with this hotel would be better on a non holiday weekend, and not flying in so late. But the hotel should also be more coordinated during these times, and this hotel was not! read more
