Great local literally across from the arena and plenty of scooters that you can take where ever you are headed to. Scooter ride worthy to MiLe High or Meow Wolf or Downtown. I have such mixed reviews. We stayed here for 2 weeks. A majority of the front desk staff were so friendly and kind as were valet attendants. Breakfast is served daily, it's supposed to be until 10, I would leave to drop my son off and be back at 0945 and daily they would be cleaning out the food options. The food was hot or miss with quality, and sometimes there were apples or sometimes bananas, nothing consistent. The first 5 days the cereal was Cheerios and labeled gluten free, the other container had lucky charms and was labeled as Chex gluten free. Thank goodness my child knew that it was lucky charms and indeed gluten. The internet was spotty, I was working from the premises the entire time and often had to use my own hotspot. The washing machine for guest use requires quarters, which you have to buy from the front desk with cash. Two times the washer broke during use and I had to bag soaking wet clothes to hand over to maintenance to take to be washed. There is only one washer and dryer. Very disappointing for a long length of stay. Also in the age of technology there are several hotels that laundry is managed with an app, allowing me to pay via app and see how much long is left and if the machines are available. There is a lack of trash receptacles in the hotel. There are none on each floor by the elevator. Myself as well as others on our floor would leave a bag of trash outside of our room daily as we don't want our room to smell like the food we ate all day/night. On our first full day here we took it down to look for a trash can and the one outside the front doors where people unload their vehicle was overflowing, we noted this multiple days of our stay. Housekeeping were friendly in the halls, they service rooms once every 3 days. Since I was working in the room and I kept the room clean we used the sign on the door to opt to have them come when we were ready. If I saw them in the halls it was easy to get trash bags, towels and cups. One day we requested service and sat in the lobby working all day and they never came by. Keep in mind it's a refresh, our bed was already made and we keep our room clean, I just wanted a tidy of the bathroom counter, towels etc. I had to reach out to the front desk to ask around 415 for service but it needed to be quick because we were coming back to the room. They were able to oblige and serviced it quickly. The refrigerators are very small and not cold, perhaps an option in some rooms for people with lengthier stays to have a larger refrigerator and freezer options. We couldn't purchase any frozen items for our lengthy stay with only a small fridge. The location is nice, easy to get to anywhere on campus or to the downtown area, performing arts area etc. several Ubers are often in the area for further driving needs. Over all of we came to Denver for a long stay I might consider staying here but would look at options with better amenities for food and wash. For a short stay it would meet my needs. read more

We are in town for the Denver Broncos game decided to stay at this hotel because it's pretty close by. It's only about a 1 mile walk from the hotel to the stadium. The hotel is really nice. The staff is really nice. The free breakfast is really nice on Saturdays and Sundays, they have a little shop or you can buy waters and snacks. Price was OK. The room is really nice. Nice and clean. Good water pressure nice with amenities pretty close to downtown for lots of bars and restaurants. This is definitely a really good hotel that I would stay out again. read more

Stayed one night, my friend had rewards and got the stay free so that was nice. Walking distance from downtown by the train station and also walking distance to meow wolf. Both directions about 15 min. Room was nice and clean. Big with a desk and a couch and 2 beds. I like how it had a bed light. I didn't like how the fire alarm blinked, it was very bright and at night I saw it blinking even when my eyes where closed. Comp breakfast from 6-9:30 and a gym. Also free Wi-Fi. Gym has everything you need and was very pleasant. Lots for breakfast like oatmeal, granola, cereal, waffles, eggs, muffins, burritos and yogurt. read more

We stayed at this hotel because it was a "team" hotel for our daughter's softball tournament (the big CO Sparkler they have at the end of every June). Pros - valet workers were extremely nice and very prompt, the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful upon checking in (I forget his name), and location is what you're paying for I'm assuming. Cons - the valet was $40 without an option to self park - since it was a team hotel I didn't really have an option. As a random guest I don't know that I would opt for that. Our fridge wasn't working properly so we had maintenance come out. He said he would be back in 5 min - waited almost an hour and nothing, but we had to leave. Didn't hear back so at 10pm on my way back I asked if it was fixed. They said yes, it wasn't. If my yogurt isn't cold, the fridge isn't working. We received full housekeeping service the day after we checked in, no issues. On day 2 or 3 we didn't - which I understood we only received it every other day, so we asked a housekeeper who was waiting for the elevator if she would throw our trash. A few days later I also had to walk down a few doors to ask another gentleman if we could throw our trash in his bin because we hadn't received trash pick up. We checked in Sunday and by Thursday I asked for fresh towels (after not receiving any housekeeping) - No towels brought up so I called again. They finally arrived after about 40ish min. On Saturday we still hadn't received any housekeeping and I asked the front desk who said they would get full service up, great thank you, so we tossed the towels in a pile, however when we came back, still nothing. On Sunday (mind you we checked in the previous Sunday) I called asking for towels and toilet paper cuz we were out of both, and they said housekeeping wasn't in yet. I asked if there was something they could do as we needed to shower and check out. So they had a lady who worked the front desk being up towels and toilet paper. When I talked to the front desk the lady who helped me said she was a weekend manager and didn't have the authority to make any decisions so she would have someone contact me on Monday. It's Wednesday and I had to call them. The gentleman who said he was the manager said he would call back. Instead of calling back someone emailed me a list of housekeeping dates and seemed unbothered. To which I responded and showed him these photos and that his dates were incorrect because we would not have this many towels or this much garbage piled up. Also, my daughter made the beds (which isn't a big deal, but don't offer housekeeping then). Lastly, they are supposed to offer breakfast, however all of the days we went down they did not have any hot items available (I believe they were getting more made, but it took too long and we had to leave). They were constantly out of the hot items and also simple things like bananas. We are breakfast there once. Overall, I personally wouldn't stay here again. read more

Prices for hotels in Denver at the end of April were EXPENSIVE. Luckily, I was able to use my credit card points, so it didn't seem as bad. Otherwise, it would have been about $250 a night. It's not for nothing though. The location of this SpringHill is great. The Pepsi center is right there, and there are a bunch of restaurants/bars (LoDo) nearby, about a 5-10 minute walk. The 16th Street Mall is about a 20-minute walk. Pros: 1. Location, location, location! (as mentioned above) 2. Good breakfast. Might even be the best continental breakfast I've eaten at the hotel. They have breakfast meats (varies each day), scrambled eggs, pastries, toast, bagels, fruit, yogurt, waffles, and on weekdays, they have a simple meat/cheese platter 3. Rooms feel spacious and clean 4. Bathroom is bright and spacey Cons: 1. Toilet seat had a drop of urine on it when we arrived. Makes you wonder what else they don't clean, but I really didn't want to go down that road 2. Uncomfortable pillows Overall, there aren't enough cons to keep me from staying here again the next time I visit Denver. read more

Day one: Lost my cousin's reservation. Luggage cart was broken. Pool was closed. Ice machines were broken. This all happened and was noticed before we got to our room. Day two: In our room we noticed a small sign that says they charge $12/day for parking. (This is stated on their website.) Doesn't matter if they can prove that you parked there or not. If you arrive in Uber or a taxi you will be charged for parking. No soap in shower. Water leaking through wall in carpet. Pool reopened and my son and Neice were coughing, pink skin, pink and irradiated eyes. Took multiple showers, eye drops and tea with honey to feel better. They didn't offer to move us to a different room. Never said they would try and fix the leak or call a plumber. Assistant manager TORRENCE said they couldn't comp our stay because we made reservations through a third party, even though they had our credit card and could decide not to charge us for all the inconvenience with the pool. He promised to take off the parking few and didn't. I asked if they could get us a free stay at another one of their sister hotels under the Marriott in the future and he said no. After I told the am about the pool I recommended he give new guests checking in a warning about the pool but it would be safer to close it. They didn't want to do that and refused to close the pool. Day three: During breakfast I noticed spider webs and chipped paint in the dining room, see attached pictures. House keeping was every other day and they started knocking on doors at 8am and when you told them to come back later they would keep knocking. During checkout they charged my mom and dad for all the rooms even though we told them not too and spent some time fixing that. When it came to getting the parking fee taken off at checkout, Kelly at checkout just kept saying she didn't know anything about and kept asking for our credit card. She wasn't willing to call the assistant manager and ask. She just wanted our money. Didn't ask how our stay was, no manners and no customer service skills. read more

This is the worst Marriott experience I have ever had and this is coming from a platinum member who's stayed at hundreds of Marriott hotels. They had so many slip ups for a one night stay I don't even know how that's possible. 1. They charged us $75 for a pet fee even though our dog is a service animal and we literally just done all the paperwork not even 24 hours prior. 2. We have five free upgrades and even though I had requested at check in, the front desk lady ignored my request. 3. They locked us out of our room stating that the cards automatically lock out at a certain time, which I know is a lie. I've stayed at enough Marriott hotels that I know the cards are programmed to whatever time they set. The worst isn't that I was locked out but that I was lied to. 4. I don't know if this is due to Covid but they literally nickled and dimed us for every little thing. For water. For coffee. Things that platinum members usually get for free. 5. Free breakfast means yogurt and hard boiled eggs. Seriously? Marriott, do better. I'm considering transferring my platinum membership to the Hilton hotel group instead because of this experience. read more

The hotel is next to University of Colorado and it is the closest hotel to the Pepsi Center. You are a few islands away and you are there within 5 minutes. Since I was so near by I bought last minute tickets through my phone while in the room and headed over just before top off for the Nuggets game. The hotel is at the edge of downtown so everything is within walking distance. If you don't feel like walking in the cold, take advantage of their shuttle to downtown. It is not a shuttle, but more of a private car so the shuttle service is first come first served. It runs from 6:30am-10:30pm. The room was clean and very spacious. The living room area had a comfortable sectional and the desk was in front of it. The bed was comfortable and soft. An iron, extra blankets, and a hair dryer is available in the closet. The bathroom had all the basic needs so you don't have to bring shampoo, conditioner or soap. If you're the type to want breakfast at the hotel this place is it. They have yogurt, breads, milk, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, juice, coffee and more. It's pretty basic, but it's something nice to have. read more

I booked the wrong dates for our stay (slam palm of hand to forehead). Cue the pit in stomach. Without hesitating, the staff accommodated us by finding a room. Kudos to that!! I find Marriott properties tend to be "on it" and make their guests feel welcome and do what they can go about and beyond. Also, this property (as are many Marriotts) is strategically placed in a good location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants is always a bonus! We will definitely stay here again when in Denver! read more

This hotel was perfect. Clean and quiet with plenty of room for us to spread out. The breakfast was great and the hotel staff were so considerate when I got sick. We will definitely be back. And the valet parking is expensive but absolutely worth the peace of mind knowing my car was tucked away in their parking garage and not in a public lot. read more

Best Mariott brand location I've stayed at for multiple reasons: Excellent location within walking distance from downtown meant we didn't have to drive or look for parking when we wanted coffee or meals. Modernized. The rooms are HGTV quality with nice finishes and pleasing color palettes. Love love love the bathroom here! Step in shower means you don't have to fumble over the edge of the tub (and who really takes baths at hotels anyway??). Gorgeous mirror and open area under the sink provide ample space for hairdryer, towels, and toiletries without feeling cramped or bumping anything. Sliding barn door means your room mate not waking you up in the middle of the night because the bathroom door slides quietly instead of clicking shut. Comfortable beds and pillows. Friendly customer service at the front desk. The only negative is that there is no self parking and the valet is expensive and adds up quickly if you're here for more than one day. However, the valet are very personable and friendly so that helps make the expense less painful :) No swimming pool but with this prime location there isn't space for one. Very clean. The hotel is very conveniently located. It's like a ten minute walk or so to Union Station. There are lots of restaurants nearby too. As far as the accommodations, the bed was soft and comfy. Parking seemed safe and required the room key to get into the garage. The complimentary grab and go breakfast was a jimmy dean bagel sandwich with yogurt, a blueberry muffin, and an apple... plus coffee if you want. Staff was very nice. We didn't have issues with outside noise either. Great stay!! read more

We spent several nights here on a business trip recently, and Springhill hit almost all of our checklist boxes: 1) Clean 2) Comfortable (beds are good, room is well-appointed) 3) Quiet 4) Convenient (to 16th Avenue shops and restaurants, and a straight shot from the airport) 5) Free breakfast (the quality is actually very good here) 6) Polite, helpful staff (across the board) Missed on the parking situation, which is valet only in their garage to the tune of $38/night. Yep, that sucked. WiFi is okay, not great. The common areas are beautiful with an artistic flair and lots of natural light, and I spent a couple of fairly quiet mornings working on a sofa out there when the room started closing in on me. There was a conference in town, and they set up and catered and managed the crowd in a way that didn't take over the rest of the hotel's vibe. Kudos to the staff. read more

Great location downtown; you can have your car parked (valet - $40 a day...would be nice to have an option to use or not use) and walk to where you need to go. Tried out the new restaurant across the courtyard and enjoyed a complimentary beverage and yummy salad. Room was spacious and the AC very quiet. Breakfast was good - I usually eat oatmeal and this location had by far the most toppings you could want for your hot cereal! Overall, a little pricy to stay here but you know what, you get what you pay for! read more

An overpriced place to lay your head - and I had a discounted rate. Granted they are located near both Coors Field (about a 15 min walk), Mile High Stadium and university campuses. But you have to ask if is worth the premium. The rooms were clean and modern. There was a desk with multiple plugs to plug in the electronic we inevitably bring. The mattress had a memory foam topper. Some of the issues I encountered was electric. I wants to turn off some of the lighting over the bed. To accomplish this I had to essentially turn off all of the lights with a switch that controlled all of the lights. This effectively turned off every light in the room in addition to some electrical outlets. I never did figure out how to get the lights I wanted lit to turn on. I'm sure I could figure it out, but I was only there 1 night. Morning breakfast was meh, the same offerings as in most hotels. My biggest complaint was parking on property was $38. It included in & out, but if you're only there for 1 night... we found a place to park - 5min walk away for $8. So next trip, if I'm paying for it, I'll find a place for a more reasonable price. read more

Modern hotel, friendly staff and a highly convenient courtesy car for travel in the downtown area. Breakfast was the usual Marriott fare plus fresh fruit (strawberries!) and turkey sausage. We were upgraded to a mountain view room that was extra quiet. Downtown attractions are within walking distance or within easy reach of the courtesy car. We arrived at Union Station from the airport and were quickly and easily picked up by the hotel car. There is a confusing light switch at the door and a problematic thermostat that twice raised the a/c 10 degrees when we were absent from the room/overnight. The shower was roomy and had plenty of water pressure. We went without a rental car while in Denver to avoid the $38 valet fee and to make use of the hotel courtesy car. A great place to stay in the midst of downtown. Great rates through Marriott's website, despite being last minute and non-refundable. The valet service was friendly, although that was just another charge that I didn't account for on top of all the city, state, and MSU university taxes. The free shuttle was an added bonus and happily took me to a pizza place down the way. I didn't even have enough time to document my pizza experience on instagram, before the shuttle was already at the door to pick me up. Wasn't terribly noisy at night minus the sound of a few toilet flushes. On the first night, it immediately smelled of the green stuff in the hallway (but it is Colorado). Front desk hospitality is great and they even give you a lollipop when you check in (no joke). I checked in early and was on my way. Breakfast was good (despite some unmannered, unsupervised teens in the area) and consisted of a variety of waffle, oatmeal and toppings, eggs, pastries, bagels, turkey sausage (not as good), fruit, juices, coffee, and yogurts. We had a great stay even though it was only for one night. We drove in and valet greeted us with a big smile! The young man working valet was very polite, he told us that it would be $29.00, and he even mentioned that they had a shuttle that would take us anywhere within three miles. We chose this hotel because it is so close to the Pepsi Center and it was an easy walk. Check in was quick and the gentleman checking us in was also very polite and welcoming. We got to our room on the second floor and was pleasantly surprised at how spacious it was and very clean! The bathroom was big but the only thing I didn't like was that there was no lock on the bathroom door which was a sliding door. There was a nice little living area to sit and watch TV. Refrigerator and microwave are in the cabinet under the TV. We checked out the next morning and once again we got great service from the front desk clerk and from valet. Love this super cute hotel. Located a bit on the outskirts of downtown, it's still with in walking distance of LoDo, Larimer, the convention center and Coors Field. Arrival was kind of awkward. Not a lot of space when dropping off your car. Also, I've always thought of a SpringHill as being pretty low on the Marriott chain. But not true of this hotel. Great interior design and the always friendly Marriott employees. Things we loved: Our room. When I first walked in, I thought it was dreary and brown. But after a few minutes, I came to appreciated the rich dark woods, the bright blue accents and the big bathroom walk in shower. Loved the room, very spacious and super clean. Breakfast. Sure, it's not a gourmet meal. But it's included. The food is freshly prepared, hot items, cereal, yogurt and cute little muffins, just to name a few choices. Transportation. When we said that we were in town for a Rockies game, we were told that they would provide us with a lift to the game. So nice to have that service. Of course, when we saw how close the baseball park was, we walked back. Still, what a great option. The staff. My bf was wearing Penn State and his chest and it just happens that they have a grad working there. Nothing makes the bf happier than to talk to an alum. Also, the valet was very helpful and prompt with retrieving our car. And $28 isn't a lot when you consider how much valet is in Chicago. Loved this hotel! My wife and I stayed here for a weekend and it was a very enjoyable stay. Great location, literally in walking distance to local restaurants and shops. The complimentary shuttle that they have here is very nice which can limit the amount of uber or Lyft rides to take. Rooms were modern and beautiful as well. Only went to the complimentary breakfast on the last day and they had a pretty nice spread of oatmeal toppings. On April 30, 2015, we paid $233USD to reserve a room for the night of June 16, 2015 at SpringHill Suites by Marriot Denver Downtown through Hotels.com (confirmation No. 1222 1024 6865). The reservation was non-refundable and my card was charged in full the next day. When my husband and I arrived at the hotel after 7:30PM that day, we were told by the receptionist (Name: Andrea), that there was no room for us because a guest who was supposed to check out on June 16 extended his stay. She gave us a piece of a paper with a number to call Expedia/Hotels.com to find another place to stay. No apology, not even a phone offered to us to make the call (though offered upon my request only). As visitors from foreign country who just got off a plane, we were completely new to Denver, we made a point to pay a premium for SpringHill just to stay close to downtown and Union Station instead we got a hotel far away, not even close to the category of the hotel we had booked. While I was talking to Expedia/Hotels.com, I saw a lady walked to the front desk and checked in smoothly as I watched. At the end of the day, we were forced to move over to a much cheaper hotel, next to a busy highway. I felt badly treated and humiliated by Spring Hills Suites Downtown Denver. By the time we arrived at the "alternative" hotel, it was late into the evening and we were exhausted and had to cancel our plan for the night in downtown Denver. read more

Clean, but not inclusive. Hotel is very pretty and clean, but they charge you 20$ a night for parking. I've found so many options on hopper in the same price with parking included. (Didn't realize when we booked). I thought it would be cool since it has free breakfast. Boy was I wrong. They ONLY had HAM and cheese which doesn't allow for Muslim, Jewish, or vegetarian guests. I asked, and they didn't have another option. Honestly, I've never had a place not have something for me. read more

This was the first disappointing stay of my 12-day cross country road trip (during which we've stayed primarily at Bonvoy hotels). THE GOOD: well-appointed large rooms. Staff is friendly. THE BAD: remote location on college campus. Lodo is not nearly as accessible as the website would lead you to think. Parking is valet only, $39 per night, and the garage is very tight (caution to those with large vehicles). There are no self-parking options nearby. Prior to this stay I was incredibly satisfied with the Bonvoy/Marriot hotels we've stayed at thus far. I explained my grievances to the hotel manager and asked to be rebooked at another location closer to downtown - but my request was denied. If you are visiting MSU this hotel is a good option. If you are visiting Denver, there are many better alternatives. read more

My self and husband we stayed at this hotel on August 28th threw the 30th .Our first day and night was great then the second day we where out of the room all day when we got back it was about 7pm we had door dash bring us some food from twin peeks and I will say there food was great,then we ordered the Jake Paul fight from showtime 60+ dollars for that fight we got maybe 45min in and then load banging on our hotel door I mean crazy banging so I jump up put on some clothes go to the door and the man working that night sticks his foot in my door and slings it open and says he coming in to look threw our room I say we'll back up and let my husband get dressed he never closed the door all the way then my husband get to the door and says what's going on .The man say he the manger and he coming in the room, my husband is like no your not. And the mangers tells my husband it was to see if we had guns or holding children or women hostage we are like what??? Keep in mind he is trying to push past my husband to get in and again we where like no so he leaves.. we where so up set we just packed our stuff and went to the front desk because we are TRUCK DRIVERS so for him to say that to two people that have to walk a very straight line to have our job was crazy..we get to the front desk and he's apologizing like crazy said he would give us our money back or make it up in any way.we said you can just credit our money back and we left we still haven't gotten our money back..He told us that he did this to 7 other rooms so he Is harassing rooms because he is on a power trip..We paid right at 600 for two nights there the money lost on our fight and 80 on our food ...we stay at hotels all over the world never have we ever had a problem. We just stayed at Homewood hotel for labor day weekend for 3 day and went to mall of America and it was great we will never stay at this hotel again and I think the Manger there needs a talking to he's on a power trip and a lier about his apologies and our money back..I would not even give it 1 star if I didn't have to...Denver Colorado west Golden stay clear... read more

Be prepared to add 40 bucks per night for mandatory valet parking. Aside from that, a nice location

Convenient location , mall across the way , markets and many restaurants , staff is friendly and rooms are great . Will definitely stay here again in the future . read more
