We had a good experience here overall, but it's one of the places where there are extra untold costs. Full transparency, it costs to park. It costs $$$ for laundry (they'll dry clean, but your bill can easily be 3 to 4 digits). Staying here is already pricey, so the extra unexpected costs just caught us off guard. Aside from the costs, place is great. It's on top of some bars, restaurants and shops. Depending on how you signed up, there may be an opportunity to get a free drink each day you're there. There's a gym available in a neighboring building, but the staff is helpful in explaining the process. You have to tell the staff each time you want to hit the gym because you'll need a temporary access pass. The location is great. It's by the downtown area and close to the Coors Field if you're trying to catch a baseball game. You don't have to use transportation, but you may also choose not to if you don't want to pay an expensive fee moving your vehicle in and out of their garage. There's also a public parking garage that goes at a cheaper rate, but it still sucks that the costs are not encompassed with the stay.

The Maven is a modern, relaxing place to stay. There are so many pluses. It's centrally-located downtown. The staff is friendly. The beds are nice. The pillows are nice. The carpet is plush. The tv is large. The lighting is suitably adjustable. The water pressure and the rainfall showerhead are perfect. They also have good amenities. A gym, a hotel car (locations within 2 miles), two bars, free coffee, water stations, free happy hour cocktails, and free churros! There is a lot of interesting art. They are also dog friendly. I same many well-behaved four legged friends while there As part of the Dairy Block, there are lots of dining and retail options nearby. Some within the same building. I sort of wish they had concierge massage services, but that's just me. I would definitely stay there again. Recommend.

My wife and I had passed through the Milk Block (where The Maven is) while on a walking food tour. We thought it would be rad to stay there but the $$$ price tag kept us away until recently when we came across a deal. The Maven is artsy and modern. I loved looking at all the cool touches. It's truly a spot you could stay one night and never even have to leave the building. There are so many bars and dining options on site. At check in time you get a complementary happy hour drink. Walking distance to most anything notable downtown (Mile High or Ball Arena would be a stretch). Less than perfect things: - Our room did seem a little worn. The carpet was literally coming apart at the seam. - A "pour over" in the room is a nice hipster touch but was awful. Just go down to the lobby and get your complementary coffee from the shop.

My sister and I came to Denver to watch a concert at the ball arena and I've been wanting to stay here! Beautiful property Immaculate rooms Clean bathrooms with the best shower and soft robes ever great ac & free water faucets on every floor with vibrant paintings and wall art! The beds were clean and comfy too! The check in was simple and easy! We would've liked a fridge in here but it's ok. The bottom floor is connected to a restaurant & a food central market type of thing. There are multiple little restaurants there so there's a place for everyone. We grabbed a pizza and a salad & had a nice lunch in our room. We got tokens for drinks at the restaurant next door and free coffee in the AM. They have a driver service as well that you can book and they'll take you to nearby places. I will be back!!!

Cozy robes and coffee mugs make you feel warm and fuzzy.

I just returned from a stay at The Maven Hotel and I can't stop raving about it. From the check in to check out. Mountain Spring Water & Cozy Robes Each morning, a filtered bottle of genuine mountain spring water waiting for me--served in the most charming craft complimented with mountain-detailed cups and matching coffee mugs. It's little touches like these that elevate the experience and really lean into that alpine vibe. And the sweater-style robes? Utter perfection. Soft, cozy, and exactly what you want to curl up in after a long day of exploring Denver. Shower Goals If you love a powerhouse shower, you'll never want to leave. The water pressure was absolutely incredible--strong and steady--and the temperature controls were precise, so each rinse felt like a mini spa moment. I actually lingered in there longer than I meant to! Fitness enthusiasts, rejoice: the on-site gym is nothing short of insane. Every machine imaginable--cardio, free weights, resistance machines, functional trainers--you name it, they've got it. I did a full circuit and still discovered new equipment I didn't even know existed. Sweet Perks & Happy Hour Deals Between 4-5 PM, complimentary churros appear like clockwork--crispy, cinnamon-sugar delights that hit the spot. Beyond that, The Maven spoils you with guest-only perks and discounts: I took advantage of a "buy two drinks, get a free appetizer" special (and scored two Old Fashioneds for the price of one). If you're anything like me and live for cocktail deals, this will make your evening. Location, Location, Location You're just a short walk from Union Station--perfect for exploring LoDo's shops and restaurants--and even closer to Coors Field if you want to catch a Rockies game. No rideshare required! All in all, The Maven delivers on style, comfort, and fun extras. If you want a boutique hotel that feels both playful and luxurious--complete with mountain flair, unbeatable showers, killer fitness facilities, and tasty perks--look no further. I'll definitely be back!

    Bike friendly hotel!

Not only is there happy hour coins, but cinnamon churros. They are conveniently located downtown with ample restaurants. The hotel has a clean gym and areas to get work done.

I recently stayed at the Maven which is part of the Denver Milk Market. The market is super cool with seemingly local vendors/restaurants that offer a little bit of everything in terms of food and beverages. The market was super clean and I enjoyed walking around looking at each vendor even though I wasn't looking for food. What was super cool is as we were leaving on Sunday, we walked into a really awesome drag show! Love how locally focused the market is! The hotel was FABULOUS! The rooms were SO BIG, everything was spotless and the bed was so comfy! Great products/amenities, including a free drink during happy hour at the airstream at Kachina. We enjoyed both Kachina, Loca, and the Milk Market while staying here, and did the very short walk to union station to catch the red rocks express. The location was SO convenient. Staff was also super friendly and helpful with recommendations, and we were able to both check in early and checkout late, which was great for enjoying our honeymoon a bit more. :)

I cannot say enough great things about this hotel! I stayed here for a few days on a Pack Up and Go trip so they chose the hotel for me. It's location in the Dairy Block was prime real estate with so many things right nearby like the Milk Market that was connected and Union Station a few blocks away. The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful and decorated very cool with a focus on art. I had a king room that faced the sky courtyard, the only downside to this room is that it faced an office building with large windows and people in it so I pretty much had to keep my drapes closed the whole time unless I wanted people staring into my room lol. The bed was SO comfy, I haven't slept that well in awhile! Loved the room decor and the pourover coffee was delightful. TV was in a weird location on the side of the bed so had to sort of lay awkwardly to watch it. Bathroom was beautiful, loved the shower! Front desk staff were wonderful and I loved all the perks you got for staying here. You got a chip every day to get a free drink from the cantina airstream trailer. You also got discounts at all the vendors attached to the building including the cantina, social club, and everything in the Milk Market. Overall, really neat hotel!

Stayed here for a work conference. Check in was quick. I got a two queen room and it was super comfortable, clean and beautiful! Very hip and modern. The lobby has a great vibe! I don't usually work in public but sitting in the lobby and doing computer work was great! The meeting space was beautiful and spacious. The catered food for the work meeting was very good - salmon and steak! Yum!

We recently at the beautiful Maven Hotel. It is conveniently located in the Dairy Block area. The hotel is close to Coors Field and McGregor Square. From check in to check out the experience was amazing. In the lobby you'll also find plenty of eatery's and a bar. If you don't fancy anything in the hotel you can walk out towards the back and you'll find bakeries, breweries, and wine bars just steps away from the hotel. When you check in you are greeted by helpful smiling and friendly staff. Upon check in we received happy hour tokens to use for their air stream bar (which was cute in itself). By using the chips they give you you can have your choice in a variety of soft drinks, craft beers, seltzers or house margaritas. You are able to get more happy hour chips everyday during your stay. Pretty cool of them to offer a deal like that! When we got to our room we were amazed at the large size of the room. It was more than plenty of space for two people. It had a round dining table-with four chairs, wet bar area, couch, king size bed, HUGE balcony and large walk in shower. The room was comfortable and clean. No complaints at all about the room. Daily house keeping service is by request only and must be made before 1pm the next day. The my also provide access to a gym, which you'll need to get the key card from the front desk. This was a little different than other hotels because the gym was about a 2 min walk down the alley (100% safe) in the back. It seems like it's a shared gym with other business around. But when we went it was never crowded. It provides plenty of machines, free weights and cardio equipment. There is plenty of space on the gym and it was clean and very well maintained. Loved going there just to get a quick workout. Overall this hotel was amazing and we would love to come back. You will not be disappointed at all with your stay here. P.S. - Parking was $58/night...but if you're willing to walk a block or so, overnight parking at a different garage was a fraction of the cost.

TLDR: 4.5/5 stars overall, especially considering the convenience factor. A friend was in Denver from the east coast for work, so I flew in from the west coast for a near-change-of-scenery-cation :D Check in in my friend's absence was seamless. I arrived early evening & there was one person at the front desk. I brought my bag to the room then went back to the lobby for a drink; front desk staff did mention I could order a drink to my room, or take my drink from bar to room if I desired - so convenient! Not to mention, all the super convenient food options in the attached Dairy Block market - take your pick of cuisine, options for nearly everyone. I happened to be in Denver during the early & unexpected first snow of 2022, and while I came prepared for snow, I didn't like it - having the food court attached to the first floor of the hotel was a big plus for me. The room we stayed in was nicely appointed - good clothes storage options, desk, arm chair, bathrobes, iron/ironing board, cups with cute decals, interesting art/lighting/headboard. It was an interior room, so faced an office building (kinda weird) so we had to make sure blinds were closed as you could see immediately into the building next door-but whatever, didn't bother me. I have family in the hotel business, so I'm fairly critical of a few design elements: bathroom accouterments, outlets&nightstands. Our room had outlets on only one side of the bed, thus half a star removed from my overall review. However, the bathroom had larger bottles of soap in the shower (love that hotels are moving away from using tiny single-ish use bottles) and a ton of counter space, plus a bar stool (for the lazy make up applier). If I find myself in need of a hotel convenient to downtown Denver again, I'll definitely consider the Maven.

What's the fitness center look like? The website's information was sparse.

Open 24 hrs just need to get key from the front desk. Lots of free weights and stationary bikes. Never crowded. They even have a separate meditation rooms. It's as cool as the rest of the property.

Do all of the rooms at The Maven have balconies?

I don't know about all the rooms, especially the ones facing the streets, but the inside-facing rooms do. There isn't a lot of room in the courtyard, so you can see right into the other buildings, which mean if people are in their offices, they can…

    Do the rooms have bathtubs?

The Master King Room, Master Two Queen, Maker's Suite, and Diamond Suite all have a circular, deep soaking tub.

The hotel is within walking distance (about 10-15 minutes) of most downtown attractions, including bars, restaurants, and Coors Field. Anything farther was just a short car ride away. The rooms were spacious and well- designed, contemporary but still comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was large. We also checked out the gym during our stay, which was bigger than expected and had a good mix of cardio machines and free weights. We did not end up dining at the hotel restaurant, but we did enjoy the Kimpton happy hour around 5pm, which was a nice perk and a fun way to unwind before heading out for the evening. Breakfast is served daily, it's supposed to be until 10, I would leave to drop my son off and be back at 0945 and daily they would be cleaning out the food options. The food was hot or miss with quality, and sometimes there were apples or sometimes bananas, nothing consistent. The first 5 days the cereal was Cheerios and labeled gluten free, the other container had lucky charms and was labeled as Chex gluten free. Thank goodness my child knew that it was lucky charms and indeed gluten. The internet was spotty, I was working from the premises the entire time and often had to use my own hotspot. The washing machine for guest use requires quarters, which you have to buy from the front desk with cash. Two times the washer broke during use and I had to bag soaking wet clothes to hand over to maintenance to take to be washed. There is only one washer and dryer. Very disappointing for a long length of stay. Also in the age of technology there are several hotels that laundry is managed with an app, allowing me to pay via app and see how much long is left and if the machines are available. There is a lack of trash receptacles in the hotel. There are none on each floor by the elevator. Myself as well as others on our floor would leave a bag of trash outside of our room daily as we don't want our room to smell like the food we ate all day/night. On our first full day here we took it down to look for a trash can and the one outside the front doors where people unload their vehicle was overflowing, we noted this multiple days of our stay. Housekeeping were friendly in the halls, they service rooms once every 3 days. Since I was working in the room and I kept the room clean we used the sign on the door to opt to have them come when we were ready. If I saw them in the halls it was easy to get trash bags, towels and cups. One day we requested service and sat in the lobby working all day and they never came by. Keep in mind it's a refresh, our bed was already made and we keep our room clean, I just wanted a tidy of the bathroom counter, towels etc. I had to reach out to the front desk to ask around 415 for service but it needed to be quick because we were coming back to the room. They were able to oblige and serviced it quickly. The refrigerators are very small and not cold, perhaps an option in some rooms for people with lengthier stays to have a larger refrigerator and freezer options. We couldn't purchase any frozen items for our lengthy stay with only a small fridge. Our room was gorgeous with a beautiful bathroom that even had a vanity (my favorite part) with a chair. Overall, the hotel was awesome. The only negatives are the single elevator for the entire hotel and the room keys were not very modernized and were actual real keys. I wound definitely be back next time I visit Denver.

For our Detroit folks, it definitely gives Shinola Hotel. Death & Co was a big draw for us, and if you're a hotel guest, you can actually make a reservation. Our room type even came with two complimentary cocktails. The small touches really stood out: *Bodum French Press + ground beans for coffee (YES, every hotel should do this!). *Topo Designs backpack to borrow during your stay - a cool "try it out" experience. I didn't end up using it but loved the idea. *Bathroom setup with a separate vanity that had excellent lighting and even a steamer (!!). We had a courtyard view overlooking the patio bar. It was a little noisy on Saturday night, but the bar doesn't stay open too late. Beyond that, the hotel itself was impressively quiet - we didn't hear other guests at all. Overall, a stylish, comfortable, and thoughtful stay. Would absolutely return.

The ballroom we were in was well lit but not too bright that it hurt your eyes. The table was nicely laid and even with the salad and dessert on it, there was enough space. The servers were polite and helpful. I appreciated that they brought me tea while serving coffee. The option was appreciated since usually I don't get an after dinner beverage if it's not coffee. The food served was delicious. The salad a nice mix of textures and tastes. The short rib tender and flavorful. And the dessert was light without the icing on top. The audio visual system worked well and we could hear the speakers clearly. Many attendees found parking in structures or lots around the hotel. But there is a valet option and charging stations for electric vehicles. I believe you can self park but I'm not sure. I parked in a nearby garage. The women's restroom has a little alcove area with a baby changing table and seating. Clean and well stocked, it was fabulous. A lot of my opinions about a location is based on their restrooms and this one impressed me. I would like to come again to experience more of the hotel.

The services were available but were not actively proffered. On the other hand, their spa was utterly fantastic! The hotel food was lackluster and focused on steak over anything else. They had other types of food, obviously, but steak was in plentiful abundance over anything. The housekeeping staff was amazing and on top of their game. The room quality was very good and spacious; larger than most hotels' suites. The in-room bar and mini-fridge were not free despite being labeled an "honor bar." I'm not cheap; I have no issue paying. My issue is the deceptive marketing of the so-called honor bar. The room's furniture was not cheap, but it did appear tacky with the illusion of being of quality. On the positive side, the staff were polite and attentive, and the room was cleaned while I was out. The view was also very impressive. Overall, with all things considered, I'd pick a different hotel; there are better hotels in the immediate area with a lower price tag and the spa is not worth it, despite its attentive and fantastic service. Score: 3.5/5.0

That was great and I highly recommend the prickly pear soda. They are walkable to a lot of restaurants and the opera house, and also offer car service within 2 miles. Very handy. But that's where the good ends for me. Our room was tucked up behind the elevators among a bunch of weird little stairs, like the most unimpressive Escher painting. It was very dark with only 2 lamps and 2 bedside lights. We could have opened the wall of windows, but because the doors and windows were not properly sealed, the only way to keep the freezing cold air rushing in was to keep the blackout curtains closed. The heat worked well, but cycled frequently and was very loud. The intake is next to the bed, so it disrupted our sleep. The fitness center was sad. There was one treadmill, one bike, one elliptical, and one weight bench, which is fine, but only 5-12 lb and 25-50lb weights (nothing between). Also, it was 82 degrees and there is no cold water available. It does not appear to have been swept or vacuumed in weeks. I used one of 2 beat up mats and from the ground could really see the filth. At check in, we were given a wooden nickel ($10 credit) for each night and told we could use it in the hotel restaurant, The Nickel. They only offer breakfast in Saturday and Sunday, so we went our 2nd day. I got the shakshuka, and when it arrived there were 2 poached eggs on top, not cooked in the sauce. NBD until I took a bite and all the sauce was room temp, as though it has just come out of a jar. There were areas slightly above room temperature, like it had been under a heat lamp. Wildly disappointing. My BF thought his avocado toast was pretty basic for the price. We tried to spend our last wooden nickel that night, getting a drink there, and were told it was only good in the other lounge area, which is odd since we both heard them tell us the nickel was for the Nickel. We ended up paying $42 for 2 small apps (a single croquette and 3 tiny gourges) and a glass of wine. I wouldn't have gotten anything but we wanted to burn the credit and BF wanted a snack with his wine. So we paid full price. Overall, very expensive for what it was. This is a 3-star hotel on it's best day, and someone needs to investigate the kitchen. We also feel deceived about the daily credit.
