UNBELIEVABLE! We (along with other customers) are waiting. The rep takes another customer in front of all of us despite telling her this location doesn't accommodate the business quick pick up. She interjects again and he actually helps her while EVERYONE ELSE WAITS (some of us have been waiting upwards of 40 minutes). If i could give them a 0 i would. they are absolutely the worst. they don't answer the phone. after trying to reach them for several weeks i finally got through to Bobby (he claimed to be the owner) the whole time he kept saying i was wrong, refused to listen, talked over me and accused me of getting upset because things didn't go my way. Unbelievable. When i went to pick up the car the day of my reservation i was already charged an additional day. They are a cheat and scam. I've rented the car from the above car rental company & they charged me 1 hour additional day and i was told i would be credited. I would have kept the car and never returned it till the next day if i was charged. The issue was when pickup the car, the lady was actually secretly charged the 1 Hour additional charge without even mentioning to the customer even though I've clearly told her that we'll returned the car before They are cheaters and liars. they charged me the additional day on the day i made the reservation. The worst car rental I ever had. Stay away. They deserve a zero, They lie and cheat you . Take your money and double your bill , and hold your money even after providing proof that they double billed you Instead of doing the right thing and crediting us and doing on the spot. They tell you have to wait 5 to 10 days for the Credit, they made the mistake it should have been voided out right away , They also want to tell you how there going" help you "like there doing you a favor. The area manager called me and gave me a credit to my account for my trouble. So one more star. Let's see what happens next time.

Never again! Every step of the way was an issue. I booked a full size SUV 2 months prior to a trip. On the day of pick up (20 min before my pick up time) they very matter of fact call to say" they don't have any full sized vehicles available". I had to recommend that they should begin finding me one at another location since 7 people would be at my house in less than an hour. The rep gave me the number to headquarters rather than taking initiative for their mistake & fixing it. After calling and explaining the situation to 3 people I was eventually transferred to Scott who did find a vehicle but it was an hour out of my way. Again I had to mention that a credit should be applied since I now need to go an hr out of my way and lost 2 hrs of my trip. He was apologetic for the inconvenience but regardless, it threw off my whole day. He took off a small percentage and said the return can be made at any location nearby. Fast forward to the day after the car was returned. My credit card was charged the full price of the rental plus an additional fee for returning at a different location. I immediately called headquarters to get this sorted, the absolute most incompetent people work there on the weekends. I was definitely being ignored and purposely put on unnecessary 20 minute long holds. I know this because I called them from my house phone while waiting on the other line with my cell. The same person answered asking how they can help me! When I asked her what was going on she put me on hold again! Calling back during the week wasn't much help either, no one seemed to know who Scott was or anything about the promises he made. Does this company not believe in leaving account notes?? After a week of calling daily, I finally googled "avis" and that lead my to a different avis office. I wish I could remember the name of the 1 person that works there with a head on their shoulders. She resolved the issue and refunded back the money. I will never trust this company for any future car rentals. read more

I made a reservation to pick up a 15 footer for moving out. When I went to go pick it up, neither of the employees cared to ask if I had drove a truck before or provide any sort of guidance on using it. When I asked if it had a ramp, they said they would check but then never gave me answer. They just brought the truck out and let me go off with the keys. So I tried figuring out how to use the liftgate (it was a liftgate and not a ramp like I had requested and never got a response for) myself and when I was not able to, I went inside and asked for assistance. Neither individual knew how to operate one. One of them came up and tried figuring it out on the spot and was unsuccesfful so he called his manager Bobby. Bobby gives him directions for the first step - turning on the liftgate switch on the dashboard to unlock the lift mechanism. Then the employee gets stuck again and gives Bobby a second call. Bobby tells him the lever in the back needs to be pushed down. The employee does that and then pushes the control switch down to lower the liftgate. When the liftgate reaches the floor, it stops while in a folded state. The employee and I wonder whether we have to manually unfold the liftgate, which is atleast 50-60 pounds. He hesitates to unfold it himself and continues to claim that 'it is really heavy'. He calls his manager Bobby again a 3rd time to ask if the platform needs to be pulled out manually. At this point the employee hands the phone over to me and the first words I hear with an elevated tone are "you cannot force my employee to open the platform and put him in danger if he is uncomfortable doing so". I ask for someone that can show me how to operate this (essentially asking them to do their job) so I can utilize it and not hurt myself and Bobby yells he is an hour away and will not be able to come over. Ultimately he rudely yells 'take it or leave it' and I am left baffled by this extremely unprofessional behavior by the manager. I would not recommend this location to anyone. The manager finds it okay to yell at customers for asking an employee how to use a feature in a vehicle they are providing and are willing to put their customer's life in danger. read more

The people who work behind the desk are very good. But they are often alone with way too much going on for one person. Be prepared to wait. The car was clean, worked well - no complaints on that. read more

I rented a box truck for my workplace as both of our trucks broke down in the SAME DAY and we had a day full of deliveries to do. Rachna helped us, she was professional, honest, and very efficient. We had a great experience here and would definitely go back if we needed a truck. read more

Worst AVIS location ever. SImilar to other comments below, I had a confirmed and pre-paid rental with them but they didn't have my chosen car available when I got there to pick it up. They offered another much smaller car which wouldn't have fit my luggage. The front desk person was hopeless. The manager on the phone was like..."take it or leave it". This is not how you serve customers. Poor management and complete disregard for pre-paid reservations. read more

DO NOT ever rent a car from this location. I had booked a Mini-van, get to the branch and the front desk agent was very inconsiderate even though it was their fault as they did not have my van. Instead of trying to accommodate my only option was to get a highlander or a Flex which would not solve the purpose of my needs, and when I told him that I would make sure to write a review the response was "it would not affect me at all". Avis Car Rental in New Brunswick is cheating customers!! I've rented the car from the above car rental company & they charged me 1 hour additional of USD55.01 when I picked up the car 1/2 hour earlier at 11.30am & returned the car before 11.30am. The issue was when pickup the car, the lady was actually secretly charged the 1 Hour additional charge without even mentioning to the customer even though I've clearly told her that we'll returned the car before 11.30am. The lady made you signed the agreement without even informing you. Best thing is when I travelled back to my own country, the insane billing was billed to me. When I make an effort to call & request for a refund, the answer is only my Boss, Mr. B can do that. Next thing is you kept waiting without even single email from them. Charged without informing customer is definitely a CHEATING ACT. Don't rent a car from this rental company at this location!!! read more
