This is BY FAR the worst customer service ever. The employee who had the WORST attitude ever, La'GINA FOUNTAIN, was missing for over an hour. I showed up early for my reservation and saw her leaving in the parking lot. I knew it was her bc of her red Avis/Budget shirt and left in a car parked in the area where the rentals are. She stayed gone and we waited and I called the main number. She finally comes back (a hour later) when I told her that we had been waiting and I need to get to work. She snapped at me and my elderly mom in front of my toddler. She then refused to get me a car. I told her I have a reservation and she hit a button on her computer and said no I don't. She kept squinting her eyes at me and folding her arms saying "because of MY attitude, she won't serve me and that is the repercussions of my attitude." Wait, what!? She was awful and when we left, she got into another car and left again and then flipped me off. What in the world is wrong w people? She is almost scary. I Had a rental SCHEDULED for 6pm. I show up at 6:02, walk up to the desk and the girl says, Sorry we're closed. I say, I have a reservation at 6. She said we close at 6. How do you schedule a reservation at 6pm when they close at 6pm? I have a 60 second window to get thru their process of picking up a car? Talked to the manager, same thing. Who knewthey had Avis rent a car in Walmart?? lol I never knew but anyway. New owners there are amazing. Not much to say but they have earned a renter for life. I didn't like the deposit going up for debit cards but they explained everything to me before charging me. Overall great experience read more

I am and have been a regular customer of Avis for well over a year. I rent at least monthly to attend National Guard Drill not to mention my business and pleasure trips. I am also a preferred plus customer. Most every time I do business with them there is a long wait in line. I've been passed over by customers who arrived after me. The cars I get are rarely clean and serviced. I frequently get a confused look as if I'm dealing with a new employee. This is not the friendly confident service I'm use to receiving from other Avis co Update. The service at this location has improved quite a bit and I really appreciate it. Now when I go here, they seem to know who I am and have my car ready. Kudos for that! They still kind of struggle on clean cars but they're kind of handicapped because the cars are so far from the desk and they're usually there by themselves. If they could just focus on clean windows. read more

The email I sent to the customer service sums up my review: To whom it may concern: This is Kayla Armstrong and I am writing to express my absolute disappointment and outrage at the handling of my rental experience and customer service with your company. I rented a compact SUV in late August and the employee, Javon, at the shop did a "walk through" of the vehicle when I was in the restroom. He showed me on my forms that there were no cracks in the windshield. When I got out to the vehicle, I noticed a star shaped crack on the upper driver's side windshield so I called Javon to have him take a look at it. He noted there was indeed a crack and marked it on both our copies of the "walk around" damage sheet. While on my trip, the crack started to grow across the windshield. Upon returning the vehicle, I informed the person working that day (don't know her name) of what happened. She informed me at as long as the "damage sheet" had the crack marked as being there before I rented it, I would not be charged. I even went a step further to verify with your customer service line of the situation and that person confirmed that as long as the "damage sheet" showed that the windshield had a crack in it before I rented it, I would not be charged. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago on Thursday October 10, I receive an email with a bill for "Emergency Roadside Assistance/Vehicle Damage" for $209 BUT NO ACUTAL INVOICE OF WHAT THE CHARGE WAS SPECIFICALLY FOR. I immediately called the customer service line provided and was informed that no notes about the previous damage were noted on my account. I was instructed to email a copy of the "damage sheet" document to avisdocuments@avisbudget.com with my case number. I then immediately called the store I rented the vehicle from and spoke with Javon to figure out why no notes were placed on my account. He stated that he put the damage from the crack on the person who rented the vehicle before me's account and noted they should be the one charged, not me. He agreed to send the "damage sheet" to the avis email and CCed me on the email as well, which he did IMMEDIATELY. Monday October 21 my account was charged the $209, causing my bank account to go into the negative and I received an overdraft fee of -$35. Again I call the customer service line and the man puts me on hold and magically within the time he put me on hold until he came back on the line, I receive a refund email. He also informs me that the charge wasn't even supposed to go through until Wednesday October 23 AND he can't explain why it went through 2 days early. He tells me it is going to take up to 72 hours to receive a refund. Not ONCE did this customer service agent express an apology for this mistake and he tells me there is nothing else he can do for me so I request he transfer me to a supervisor so I can figure out how your company is going to refund my overdraft fee, so he places me on hold. I had now been on the phone for over 30 mins and the hold music goes silent and then the line disconnects. So I immediately call back and have been on hold for the entire time it's taken me to write this email, which is now currently 20 mins. This extreme mishandling of my case by your poor customer service team has caused an extreme about of undue stress, inconvenience, and financial burden all for a damage THAT I DID NOT CAUSE. I am a nursing student so my funds are very tight and I am already under an extreme amount of stress as it is so the gross negligence in your company's handling of my case is unacceptable. I will absolutely NEVER be using your business again and will be sure to review your business on every review platform available to make sure the public is aware that if you rent from Avis/Budget that you will be charged for damage you don't cause and be hung up on when you want to speak with management. If I could give this company -5 stars. I definitely would. First of all, there was no manager for me to talk to after the imbecile at the counter could not give me a reason for needing 2 credit cards. So he had to call her. Oh yea and her name was Loretta by the way. Loretta was very rude and disrespectful after being interrupted to deal with a customer paying 400.00. I simply asked her for a reason on why I needed 2 credit cards and GUESS WHAT. SHE HUNG UP ON ME. So I call customer service to make a complaint and get a FULL refund, since this was something that could have been avoided had I just known about it. The first gentlemen who I talked to was great took my complaint and transferred me to billing. Now the lady in billing I of course asked why 2 cards were needed. Only to get hung up on AGAIN. Not to mention being treated like I never spent 400.00 with them. Was informed by 3 different people that my refund would be processed in 3-5 days the first time. 5-7 days the second time. And 5-10 days the third time. This is the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL, IDIOT FILLED, RIDICULOUS company I have EVER seen. And I will continue to post bad reviews until my money is into my account. And will NEVER recommend anyone to use this terrible company. And will also continue to call them EVERYDAY. Until someone can give me a straight answer. Beware of this company they are scammers that have no clue what they are even doing. OH AND DO NOT COMMENT FOR ME TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR HELP BECAUSE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES ARE THE ONES WHO DID ALL OF THIS.
