When your car comes up for maintenance they will just tell you it only needs an oil change then reset the mileage to the next one. They will never answer the phone, you will have to spend your gas to get there. Then they will tell where you to go and you have to wait a while to get an approval for the repair. Booked a reservation at 4:14 for 5:00 pick up and home girl at the counter lost her mind. She was absolutely appalled at the thought of having to stay late to honor my reservation. I went to this location to drop off a vehicle only.... One staff member was on the phone with a customer, one was dealing with customers that were in line with the, and the third employee was texting on her phone. When we walked over to ask if she could help us, the woman helping the customer rudely said "this is the only line". When I replied, "there wasn't a sign so I wasn't sure"... she rolled her eyes at me. When she finished with the other customers, she asked if I was ok getting an email receipt, and I said yes. That was it... the other woman could have taken the keys and I wouldn't have had to wait, but instead I got rude attitude from the one person that was willing to speak. I booked a reservation with them, then received a phone call the day before my trip that they didn't have any cars available and that there weren't any cars in any locations nearby. Then I was charged for their cancellation and went through multiple phone calls to try to receive the money back. It is ghetto and the worst rental company that I have ever booked with. Hubby DL expired so I used mine. However we could NOT use his cc for hold charges. 3. Ok so used my debit reluctancy since they make you pay a 500 dollar hold for debit...mind u we already paid! 4. Need 7 passenger car...well sorry, using debit we cannot rent u a 7 passenger vehicle...you have to use credit. 5. God awful customer service. That's if you can even figure out how to talk with a real person. Pickup was arranged through our ins company so we never had the option of choosing a toll pass option. Upon drop off there was no one there. Got ahold of the manager who said everyone left early so no one can give me a ride. A week later we realized they had rented the vehicle to someone else but left our account open so we got charged for someone else to rent the car we had returned. 2 months later we get a $142 bill from platepass and hertz said it's not their responsibility to make sure their customers are informed of their options. Platepass was nice enough to wave the $60 in "administrative fees". I will never use Hertz again and our insurance company knows not to use them now, also. read more

This review is for the Uber rental side of this Hertz location. I wish I could leave negative stars for this business. First off when I went to pick up my rental they tried to give it to me in an unsanitary, filthy condition. I had a tight schedule that day and was counting on picking up my keys by a certain time to be able to actually use the vehicle for work. I voiced my concern and asked if they could at least vacuum it before giving it to me.. even though this put me behind schedule since I was not expecting to have to stay in the area .... Anyway I made the best of it and went to the gym to give them time to vaccum it - which by the way, they only 1/2 way did. Anyway ... I was in a time crunch so I went ahead and signed for the car and got my keys. When I came back that evening, the battery of the car (it was a Tesla) only had 17% charge. So, then I get to go on a wild goose chase looking for a nearby charger and had to sit for an hour to charge it since it was almost dead. By the time this was done it was well after midnight, so I was unable to actually use the car for work that day. I went in person to discuss my concerns the day before my original booking expired (because no one answers the listed number and I had misplaced the business card they gave me), and asked if my original booking could be extended to the next day since I ended up not actually being able to use it for work the day of pickup due to the condition I received it in, and all the above stated issues. First after patiently waiting in line, I talked with the original employee who rented to me and she told me I needed to speak with the manager. Once the manager Rashea Hudson was was free the employee whispered something to her. Rashea then looks at me and starts talking loudly with an attitude being combative, and pointing her hand at me as if she was taking to a disobedient child. She used anything I said trying to explain my issue against me, twisting my words and talking to me in a condescending tone before basically shooing me away, throwing a card at me , and dismissing me. I never felt so disrespected in a business where I was as a paying customer at in my whole life. If you are renting a vehicle for Uber I suggest avoiding this place at all costs. FYI the -60 off of the $334 rental cost (supposedly make the rental like 274) is not actually a weekly discount, it's potential extra earnings. You will pay 400 for it after tax. This wasn't my issue with the rental company, but something to think about before renting the Tesla as I learned the hard way. Pics posted of the condition of the vehicle. I wish I had took more photos before I ended up having to deep clean it the next day, but I did not anticipate needing to leave a negative review due to the horrible customer service experience. Where to start? I had a reservation at noon and arrived at 11:30 am. Ultimately, I didnt leave until almost 4 pm!!! They were having system issues, which that does happen but omg... this was the worst experience ever! Waited about an hour, the asst mgr finally tried to assist. Charged my credit card - which went thru, but somehow charged it again and the 2nd charge was declined. I was told to call my credit card company - who confirmed the first charge was pending. Hertz then told me to call THEIR billing department? 30 minute hold... still not resolved. Store manager said she was working with a "corporate friend".. Still no resolution b/c their system didnt generate a contract. Store manager eventually went back in her office and I was left just standing there? Finally, re-did the transaction and got a car which was dirty smh. I will say that the staff remained patient as I was not the only one going thru this that day. But, Hertz as a corporation - you have to have some sort of mitigation plan when your systems go down?? I was told they couldnt manually do anything b/c no contract generated in the system - but thats your system's fault. You can not possibly be comfortable with a customer waiting 3 HOURS.... I rent a vehicle from Hertz in Texas airport and after returning my car, I got charged $42 for gas. Even though the tank was full, I make sure the vehwas full before I return this car, because I know how crazy the charges are if you don't fill up your car. When I walked up to a counter to discuss this charge, the manager was trying to accuse me of lying and walked over to double check the fuel level. The camp bowie location is running me around. They charge me $150 a week after I returned my car. I asked them what happened, said I return on the 31st of December. Funny thing me and my wife dropped off on the 30th together. They Charged me for that and on top of that. Had a reservation for pickup at 9:15. Have now called three times and still no one is here to pick me up. I'm currently 12 minutes away from the Hertz lot, and each time I've called I've been told someone is on the way. Day of, walk in and they don't have a car at all. No call no heads up from them. Wanted to offer me an expensive SUV upgrade but expected me to pay for it. If you reserve a car why isn't it standing by when you get there? I was clearly upset and they had to call around and try to find me a car. I had to drive about 20 plus minutes away and get vehicle. Worse rental place ever. This place rented me a car with a star in the windshield (had to be), the car and windshield was filthy, although the inside was "covid ready" whatever that means. I drive 2 blocks home into the garage where she sat the rest of the day, and my husband notices a crack in the windshield that evening in the garage when he got home. Tried calling the next day to inform them, but due to a holiday their closed. Next business day I go buy there and she proceeds to tell me I'm responsible that the crack was not there when she took her pictures. Wanna tell me how in God's name could she tell if there was not a star on there when vehicle and windshield were filthy? 892.00 is what it will cause me to replace a windshield, when the reason I have this rental is because someone pulled out of their driveway and totalled my car. I had read the negative reviews about this Hertz location and I had a great deal of anxiety on pick up day. I did verify my reservation in advance which I would recommend doing. I drove 1.5 hours to pick up as they, by far, had the best price on a cargo van rental for a 4 wk period. Pickup and drop off went off without a hitch. Staff were pleasant and professional. I had my choice of several different make/models of cargo vans. I went with the Ford Transit High Top which was FABULOUS for my needs. My rental experience with Hertz Camp Bowie Blvd in Fort Worth FAR exceeded the expectations that I had. I'm SO happy everything worked out and that it was WAY better than other people's experiences. Made a reservation online ... received a confirmation ... drove 33 minutes to get to location and was told there was no reservation and no cars available. The guy was very rude and not willing to help. As he put it ... "I'm closing in 5 minutes and I'm only here to get the last car out." Called the number on website ... they immediately honored our reservation and got us a car at another location. HOWEVER ... when we got to the second location (which was another 12 miles away), there were no cars there either!!!! Giving this location 1 star for horrible assistance/service and rude employee. Horrible customer service. Beware, some of the cars they rent have speed and radio volume restrictions on them. There was a great rate with AAA, so reserved the car online with Hertz, and called the customer service number with concerns after reading these reviews. She assured me they had a car, and even asked if I had a preference, and I told her I'd like a Toyota. We got to the location, and Kelsia had the car ( a brand new 2017 Toyota Corolla), the paperwork, everything in order. And the price was a little lower than what I'd expected. I'm wondering if the problem was with the insurance companies that both of the other reviewers mentioned. My car is in the shop so wanted to rent a car for 5 days. Called Taylor street hertz near downtown Fort Worth. Asked for availability on compact cars and asked for quote. He just said yeah we have cars come down and we will take care of you. I asked how much and he said $65 a day for a compact. I told him it was showing as $22-29 a day online. He told me that will change when you get here! Ended up booking with another branch out of a reputable car dealer in FW. I booked a compact for 4 days for $108. I had a hard time finding since heart is in the auto body shop. She didn't answer the phone 1st time I called. Answered 2nd time and sounded confused about reservation but said to come inside. Finally found it. She was on a personal call for 20 min before she told me that she didn't have a car to rent and that it would be 30 min to an hour before would be there. She blamed the online booking reservations. Said that they would call and then pick me up when car was there. I asked if she had my number she said yes and quotes some random number. I looked on screen and had my name and reservation but no other info and incorrect phone. Gave her number and got ride back to work from my friend. 45 min later called and no answer. Called dealership and they said she wasn't in office but door was open. Called 6x no answer. Called travelocity and was on hold 45 min b4 quit and called hertz downtown and spoke with manager, think is same person from earlier. Said happens all the time and could get me a car but not for same price. Didn't even ask how much quoted or try to help. I talked to a business friend back at work and he said called to rent a car for this Monday thru same frank kent hertz 3800 southwest blvd office and requested a pick up for this coming Monday at 8am. She asked him to call her to remind her at 7:30am....isn't that the point of a reservation and scheduling a time. He is a hertz gold member and will be very upset if she doesn't answer the phone and messes up his rental. Not sure what kind of operation they are running here, but sounds like bait and switch and robbery.
