I had an absolutely terrible experience at this location. I had a confirmed reservation, yet only 23 minutes before pickup I was told there were no cars available and to "wait until noon." This was not a casual rental -- it was for a life‑or‑death emergency involving my mother -- so I went anyway. When I arrived, I waited until 1:06 PM while the staff insisted my credit card wasn't authorizing. My bank confirmed the charge, and I even showed proof that the transaction had already posted, but they still refused to process it correctly. No urgency, no accountability, no effort to resolve anything. I called the contact center for help and was transferred multiple times with zero assistance. The entire situation was a complete waste of time and added unnecessary stress during a critical emergency. This location failed to honor a confirmed reservation, mishandled payment, and showed horrible customer service throughout. I don't recommend this place. My daughter pre-paid for a vehicle online. They sent her an email of what she needed to bring in. When she got there, they told her she couldn't rent without a major credit card, although it pre-paid and they never mentioned this in the email. They sent me out to spot F30 but there was no car there. So 10 minutes walk back to the counter to wait 20 minutes more for a dirty vehicle. When I say dirty the previous renter had cheetos, popcorn, a cat, and some place with big wide red straws. The vehicle needed an oil change and the navigation screen froze on me 4 times so I returned the vehicle a day early. Spoke to someone when I pulled in and he reassured me every vehicle is throughly checked out upon returning. Ok as I walk away, he runs up behind me and apologies for the inconveniences of the vehicle because as he started it up the screen froze on him. 4 days later and still no adjustments on my charges. Renting from the airport is a convenience when you're flying into town not when that's the only place to get a mini van from a week before you need it. Years ago Budget had the best kept vehicles and the best customer service, now you get what you get because people are tired or maybe my expectations are too high. Competitive prices. Easy to find coupons online. Online booking made it easy to choose a location and truck size. Pricing was transparent. At pick up I was given great customer service. The process was quick. I've used them many times and prefer them over uhaul mainly because of the budget pricing. Never had an issue, just make sure the truck is clean and gassed up when you return it. I feel people usually only have something to say when they have bad experiences so hopefully this review will improve the ratio. read more

This was my first and last time using budget truck. I normally stay with uhaul, but thought I was getting a better deal using Budget. Customer service wasn't the greatest, it took me 50 minutes to get my truck; and I had a reservation. My long wait wasn't due to them being busy when I arrived, it was due to them helping other people after me (e.g. Trying to multitask instead of dealing with one customer at a time, and making me feel important as a customer). After finally getting my truck, and walking out with an other guy (rude guy ready to go home) to inspect the truck. The truck had graffiti over one side of truck, I asked "why am I getting this truck and you have others here?" "Are you trying to get it off your lot?" He just laughed. Nevertheless, went back to manger and ask question again no valid response. As I walked out of the door, I'm not sure, but I believe I heard the other guy ask the manger "what is he worried about?". Why would Budget even want this truck on the road with their name on it, and a customer driving it.... see pics. Lastly, no ramp on truck.... did not realize until time of move next morning. A person is renting a moving truck, to move! it would be nice to have ramp. When I returned truck to other location, l noticed the larger trucks had ramps. Not a surprise to see the low reviews as I am here to submit one myself. The 'owner' Joel Aaron stated upon return of the rented vehicle that he was going to charge us $75 for 'embedded' debris in the carpet. Never once with any of our Budget vehicle rentals have we ever been told this, much less stating that simple material that can be easily vacuumed is 'embedded'. Unsure if he needs more income for 'his' business, or is he was upset he'd be losing money since we're returning the vehicle early, but telling a customer that we'd be charged for something that is routine for Budget to do upon turning over their vehicle rentals is absurd. Top that with the vehicle was dirty upon pick up I will NEVER visit this location again and will be filing a complaint with Budget. Consumer beware, go elsewhere for your rental needs. read more

I booked online to pickup Sunday at noon. I had trouble finding the place,making it 7 minutes late getting there. I sent an email to let them know. Once finding it, I proceeded to digitally check in. Nothing happened so I went to the door only to be ignored by the 2 girls inside. I recognized they closed at noon,but I had a confirmation to pick up a vehicle.. I tapped on the door and the sales girl told me they were closed. I told her I had a confirmation and told them I sent an email stating I'd be a few minutes late. The online schedule allowed me to pickup at noon and they are telling me the owners are strict on when they close. I call bullshit on that! They lost my business for sure! Customer satisfaction was not met there. Don't waste your time going there, especially if it's close to closing time! Horrible customer service. Vehicle was 3 hours late arriving after scheduled pickup time. No apologies or care given. Rented a mini van and got a piece of crap Ford Flex. Gas was not 100%. Take your business elsewhere. The people that run this office simply don't care about their customers. They will rent you a truck. Then not have the size your ordered when you arrive to pick it up. Instead you may get something else altogether. They didn't tell me until after the paperwork was signed. When I found out their attitude was "take it or leave it" and refused to compensate or accommodate me in any way. As this happened hours from my departure I had no choice but to take the truck provided. Budget service center (not the local office) was no help either. Yikes. I thought it was weird no one had reviewed this location - nevertheless, I had great help and service from the airport only to have a leaky tire the next day. This was the closest Budget location for me to exchange my car today and I have never seen or experienced worse customer service/ friendly banter/ helpfulness ever. No, really. You'd think by now most people realize the customer is always right. Why was the budget manager over talking me, while helping his other customer, telling me "I already told you in the phone you have to fill out the form in your glove box" well smart face, I'd have filled it out if THERE WAS ONE! And homeboy had the audacity to say "it's in there, it's in there". Let's get things straight: finish with your customer before arguing with me. Second of all, I'm not blind. Funny how he changed his attitude after he went to the car and checked himself. I rented a van in the Burleson TX area and the van they gave me had not been cleaned on the inside or the outside. We brought it to Bryant Irvin store and the staff here were rude, totally ignored us and all they kept talking about was the calls they needed to make to fix all the miss bookings they had. I'm 65 years old,senior and I'm very disappointed and angry.I picked up the car from Dallas 14.01.2020 4:39 pm. The man at the customer Service was very friendly and told me,it's more comfortable for me to return the car with no gas and he would put it on my credit card when I return the car.That was okay for me.I told him ,that I don't want any more insurance;showed him the notice in english which I got from the rental firm in Germany.It was all covered up and I didn't need and wanted any other insurance. He said that's okay and all I only have to pay for is the gas.When I came back to Germany I saw,that Budget put 429,23 $ from my credit card!!! Obviously I've signed the contract for 21 days Emergency sickness plan and Personal Accident and Effects.He never talked to me about this,my english is good enough to understand this.He assured me that all is settled,all is already paid. Attempted to train an employee who had little to no knowledge of basic computer skills while processing our order. We reserved a a 12 foot bed and all they had was 16 foot and also charged us for the 16. If we're being honest just go to UHAUL. Much easier process there. read more

I Didn't rent and they still charged me! Horrible customer service. The number listed for this business routes to the Budget national number no matter when you call. I Placed an online reservation 4-09-21 for a moving truck for 4-10-21 through the Budget website and selected Devon Venture Group, 4736 Bryant Irvin Rd, 76132 as my pickup/ drop-off location and with credit card. Received an email confirmation and then within 3 hours (prior to the location closing) I found out my move was postponed. Called the 1800 Budget number to cancel. I held 28 minutes then hung up. Tried the 2 local #s for Devon Venture Group multiple times and just kept getting the 1-800 call center. Emailed budget 2 x to cancel and as of today 4-12-2021 I have heard nothing. After all this, at 3:00 am today 4-12-2021 I received a fraud alert from my c.c. that Budget/Devon had charged $75 to my credit card. What a terrible, crooked way to run a business. read more

I wish I had read reviews before reserving here. I'm upset I have to give even one star. The only business that has ever treated me this poorly was Delta Airlines, and even they gave me a hotel room. Joel/BJ/Whatever-his-name-is-today, is an extortionist/scam artist/@-hole. We made a reservation for a 12' truck, but they didn't have one, which they didn't inform us of until about 40 minutes before our move. "Joel" if that really is his name, told us that they had a 16' truck (which we did not want/total overkill), but they had somebody else who wanted it who he'd rather rent it to. Not only that, but he said he was going to charge us for the 16' rental, 12' reservation be damned! I said that was unacceptable, and then he said, I have another customer, I'll call you back. Are you freaking kidding me? Our reservation ended up being 30 minutes late, and I had to go all the way up to corporate to get them to enforce a 12' rental rate, per our reservation. It should be standard practice that a rental company who can't provide the reserved size and has to upgrade sizes, not charge you for the extra cost of the car you didn't reserve. Perhaps Joel is pocketing the money on the side? Corporate told me that charging more was not company policy, and that Joel was fully aware of that (yes, they called him by name). 100% DISHONEST. Our rental agreement says we're going to have to pay mileage at the 16' truck rate as well, corporate told me if they do that to call them and that they'll fix it to the 12' rate we were promised. Of course the extra gas is our responsibility, again why we didn't want a 16' truck. It should not be my responsibility to get back my money they should never be permitted to have (the difference between the 16' and 12'), if I end up needing to pay for extra mileage. This has been the worst mistake I've ever made. I reserved a truck for a one way trip, I know they usually send out their worst trucks for these so I want shocked with the condition of the vehicle. 101k miles smoked when started smelled like smoke inside and a Crack in the windshield. Oh well I can live with that I picked it up during the day and it was a short drive to load it. The next day I was out on the highway and noticed it was out of alignment a major pain but not worth unloading the truck over. As it got to be night time I turned on the lights to find out they pointed so far to the left I couldn't see the right shoulder, this was unsafe at best. Today I'm over 900 miles into my drive coming down a steep grade in AZ and something happens then the vehicle started shaking. I pulled over and called customer service who transferred me to Roadside assistance. Roadside is a third party company and promised to have a driver call me when they were on the way 45 min now and still no call. I called back to customer serviceand they said there is nothing they can do once it's been transferred to road side. This whole company is a joke! read more
