Not much has changed with this rental car company. I made a reservation for a rental car and upon arriving to pick the car up I informed them that I would like to split the payment on 2 separate cards . The counter agent said I can't do it now but I can when you return the car upon checkout. Anyway. A fiasco inside and I was unable to split the payment as part needed to be company paid and the other personal. I'm not happy and won't use them again. read more

Generally love Avis, my preferred rental company, but every time I've dealt with this location it's been an absolute nightmare! Poor management. Poor inventory. Completely apathetic staff. Unfortunately it's always the closest location to me at the time and I dread having to deal with this place. Avis Corporate needs to address this location really. Terrible. read more

Horrible Company, do NOT rent from them. They lie and misrepresent the cost and then bill you without authorization. Made several calls to customer service to dispute and you get the run-around. Never again will I rent from Avis. read more

I booked a reservation over the phone with an avis representative, went to this location to pick up my reserved vehicle and was told that I could not rent it because I did not have a credit card to put a hold on, a debit/credit card is supposedly not accepted. I asked to speak to a manager and of course there was no one but this inexperienced cashier that had told me no already, supposedly this is their policy after I was told over the phone that my debit card wouldn't be an issue. Terrible service, and terrible to tell someone this minutes before picking up the car, needless to say I went to enterprise after leaving here where they appreciated my business and I had no problems at all. The representative at this Avis location barely spoke english making it even more difficult to try and resolve the issue. Stay away from this place, it is nothing but a problem and waste of time. read more

A complete disaster. We reserved a 12 passenger van 3 1/2 months ahead of time, and confirmed a week before we needed the van. We arrived to pick up the van to learn that they didn't have one - I then spent more than an hour on the phone with reservations and customer service and was told that I was free to shop around with other companies. I told them that I shopped around 3 1/2 months earlier, and that I needed the van in 9 hours for a 3 am departure to take a group of students to the airport. No one at Avis was helpful and able to think creatively about solving my problem. Thankfully, the worker in Norwalk found 2 mini vans for me - this helped, but created other problems as I hadn't arranged for 2 drivers for a 3 am departure. Avis actually did the exact same thing to me 2 years earlier - shame on me for giving them a second chance. Never again. read more

The car deal was ok, about $100 for a 2 day rental. However, the service was terrible. I was signing the documents to rent a vehicle, and the kid who was behind the desk kept rudely asking me to sign another document while I was in the middle of signing a different document. Just incredibly pushy. read more
