The moment I stepped inside, I was hit with an overwhelming stench of cat feces and litter. The office was filthy and unprofessional, Especially the Manager Filomena Innocente-- not at all what you'd expect from a national company. It immediately set the tone for what would become a nightmare interaction. Instead of a quick, routine return, I was blindsided by ridiculous claims of "significant damage" to a car that had normal wear and tear when I picked it up and when I dropped it off. It was obvious they were trying to use my no-fault insurance claim as an excuse to squeeze money out of my policy -- a total scam. I've been through enough after my accident, and this was the last thing I needed. Pictures will be posted of the significant damage. To make matters worse, I received no confirmation email, no explanation, and no accountability from the staff. Every attempt to get clarity was met with rudeness, defensiveness, and complete lack of professionalism. When asking a question I was met with an attitude. "For the fifteenth time! ..." I am not a trained car rental professional. I've rented with Enterprise at the Smithtown location and returned in Port Jefferson due to the location of my new vehicle. Port Jefferson's way of conducting business is beyond unacceptable as proven by many other recent reviews. The staff, the facility, and their business practices are all a disgrace to the Enterprise name. Corporate seriously needs to investigate this branch -- it's giving the entire company a bad name.

Been taking my old beater work Honda here for years and they have been reliable, friendly and most importantly- honest. They've done all my basic maintenance, usually just brake pad, battery, inspection related. Always done in a relatively timely fashion for a fair price. Never once tried to upsell me on extra work in order to pass inspection. My most recent encounter with them, which is what really motivated me to leave this review, was especially appreciated. I don't know much about cars, but there was something a little stiff with my steering, and I thought maybe the power steering or some belt was going. Took it into East Setauket Auto and asked them to take a look at it and let me know what needed to be done. They could've told me numerous things and hit me with some multi hundred dollar charges, but instead they looked at it and honestly told me nothing was wrong with it and no work needed to be done so I picked my car up no charge. That type of honesty is priceless and will recommend this auto shop to everyone who needs one. Great people here. On top of all that the place just looks cool- convenient location in a nice area- retro, old school style office and shop, feels like going back in time in a good way.

I thought I was screwed. Budget to the rescue! I was able to reserve a truck with less than 24 hours notice for a one way rental. The whole process was easy. I even found a 20% off coupon code online. The Budget rental was less money and included 2 days instead of 1 (keeping me from rushing around and unloading in the dark) and UNLIMITED mileage. The unlimited mileage was AWESOME. I definitely would have exceeded the mileage allowance with Uhaul. Customer service was good on both ends of the trip. Returning the truck was easy and there is a gas station almost directly across the street, so it made it easy to return the truck with a full tank of gas. I will definitely think Budget first the next time I need a truck. Stress free and easy. Thank you.
