Barbara and the staff are amazing. This is a small agency but busy. Make sure you reserve well in advance(days) or they may be out of cars. I have rented from this location since 2017. Yes at times there have been hiccups but overall I have been very satisfied renting from this location and will continue to rent from here. read more

Customer service is rude and does not resolve anything. No US based call centers. Even the managers will blame you for any problems you are having. I would not recommend this Avis or anything to do with them. The preferred customer program is pointless since most branches are privately owned and do not owner the program. read more

They close at 5pm so we arrived at 4pm . There is a sign stating will be back had to go to Warner Robins didn't state when they left or would be back, just that they would be back soon. Left a phone number which went unanswered. Very unprofessional. Not only were we left to wait there were people there to drop off cars. Look elsewhere!!! My mother died and I needed to go out of state for the funeral. As I am having car trouble, I reserved a car from the Avis Macon Airport location. I took an Uber to the airport just to be told they (Avis) did not have a car available. I then had to get an Uber to get back home. Now I won't be able to leave until tomorrow morning - after another Uber. Never again. read more

Worst customer service ever, over priced and nastiest rental cars. This location should be closed down and the reviews on multiple platforms are all similar. After 2 experiences with filthy cars to include dog dander every where and smell and all kinds of debris, it's a shame they are allowed to remain open. I had to call Avis customer service to get help and after I informed them of the notes in my account about my rental I was told that I would have to take it up with them by a (Barbara )like they were separate entities. The customer service is awful as they care nothing about the customer, but getting every penny. Save yourself some time, hassle and money by going a mile down the road to other Avis near the airbase, you will be glad you did. This is a top notch small location. They should go take some lessons from this establishment. read more

Miserable experience. I returned a car to this location completely full. The desk agent (with the attitude problem) asked me if the car was full and I said yes. She was rude and I couldn't figure out why as she is reading off numbers. I said "what are those numbers" and she said "well you don't have the contract". I said "yes I do". And I handed her the contract. She printed a recipe and I went on my way. I looked at the email receipt five minutes later to see that she had charged me for fuel service. I went back and she was SO RUDE. not for nothing, but was she trying to pull something over on me? I wonder how many people don't catch this up charge. It's dishonest. read more

This rental location is not fit to be in business, my flight was scheduled to arrive at 1915, the location closes at 1900, I called the location before I booked my reservation. I was informed choose 1900, we know when flights come in, we are a small airport. In fact it is a very tiny airport, three gates, 6 arrivals a day. So they knew when my flight was coming in, when I arrived, they were closed. They left keys for the pilot, not this presidential member, nope. Security says this happens every week here, the lady leaves before the last flight comes in. I call AVIS you were no help; told me customer service was closed on the weekend. I paid for an uber to the hotel, in the morning I paid for an uber back arrived 7 minutes after they opened. The lady there said they do not have a Chevy Tahoe or similar as I reserved. They have a Ford Explorer, well a Chevy Tahoe and Ford Explorer are nothing alike, she offered me a pickup truck ,again nothing alike, or I could go downtown and get a minivan. Mind you I had to get back pick my daughter up for her college tour, so time was not an option, after I was left stranded by Avis. I said I will take the explorer, she said well it is dirty because our cleaner does not come in till 0830. So my choices to leave with a car and not miss a college tour were a dirty car or a pickup truck. I chose the dirty car, which was filthy inside, food, trash everywhere, outside dirty, insanity. If you go on line this branch has tons of similar stories. So I called Avis, thinking customer service on Monday would help, after 90 minutes I finally got a supervisor, who the best she could do was 20% off, that doesn't even take it to the appropriate class of car, let alone cover my uber, let alone account for the dirty car, let alone account for being stranded. I asked for her supervisor, she told me she was the highest person in the call center, and I was not allowed to talk to anyone else, nor would anyone call me back. I was not even in the US call center, when asked how I got a us call center, she said keep calling back and trying. I was mortified, and will never rent from Avis again, and do everything I can to get all my money back, and post this story everywhere and anywhere. read more

We have rented from this location over 10 times (it's the only location within 50miles) and each time there has been an issue! I was explicitly told that we could return our rental keys to the Dropbox. I followed and was charged over $200. Another time we prepaid for a vehicle to take our daughter to college. This location called us 2 hours before pick up saying they "don't have our vehicle". They refused to help us located an alternative option. We ended up driving to ATL, and when we returned the car they attempted to charge us a drop fee. This current rental was not even put in the system! When we had an issue with the vehicle and attempted to exchange at another location it appeared as if we stole the vehicle! The vehicle needs an oil change and tire pressure lights are on. 1800 say we have to wait 3 days for it to input before we can exchange. NO COMPENSATION.. 3 days of our trip wasted! They never answer the phone and are extremely unprofessional. I do not recommend using this location. read more

They had me pre-pay for a car. It was an emergency - my car died on a trip on Sunday and Avis was the only open option. Got towed back to my house, but canceling the reservation meant forfeiting $150. Changed the reservation to Monday for free, including pick up and drop off locations. Got a call from the local office Monday morning saying they didn't have a car for me. This time, because it was their fault, I got a full refund. Called a competitor and rented a comparable car that was available in an hour for half of the Avis pre-pay amount. read more

Absolute worst car rental location I've ever been to it's so secluded it's like the people have no type of professional courtesy. I'm a male I usually can deal with a attitude here and there especially being from Detroit, but the woman at this location act like you are bothering them with trying to get an understanding you guys charged me $1200 and then $1600 when I brought the car back and your only reason is because the money is pending? It isn't pending on my end that should not have anything to do with the customer you guys are the merchant give you guys almost 2 grand to release $1200? Definitely the worst location to rent from if you are from out of town do nottttttt stop here. read more
