I had a rental due to my car being in the shop for an insurance repair. They picked me up quickly at the shop. We went back to the store to do paperwork and checkout. The process was quick. The car was clean and reliable. When my car was done I left the rental at the shop for them to schedule the rental pick up. I should have called for the return, but it was in their usual process. I got a message that the insurance company had reported the end of the rental and to schedule pick up. I called the next day and Tony helped me with this problem and marked the return for the day I dropped it off. Very grateful for the ease of fixing that and avoiding weekend rental. Pick up was seamless. The staff was friendly. I was in the vehicle in under 15 minutes! We did a walk around and went over policies and pricing and it was easy. Returning was just as easy. The morning of got a call saying I have to call back at 11:00/11:30(mins you they close at 12:00) to see if they have any cars available. Called multiple times and the phone just rung. When I finally got someone in the phone they said there system was down for the day and they have no cars. It wasn't even 12:00 yet. If I could give this place a negative star I would. The worst! Our car broke down in the middle of GA while on the road trip, while it was being fixed at the dealership we called to reserve a car. The lady on the phone was very rude "i am really busy not sure if I can look for a car for you right now"- what?!? We were transferred to a booking agent call center who told us that they had a Tahoe available for us in 30 minutes. We Ubered to them and they stated that they do not have any open vehicles until next Tuesday. That's 6 days from today. When asked why their confirmed a booking and told us to come over with car specifics, they indicated that "they never turn down a reservation." I'm really at a loss for words that this type of service and practices even exist. read more

Rented a 1 ton truck only to be told upon arrival that a recall is happening for all the ram trucks and he had no truck he could rent me. A call would of been nice or an email seeing how I drove 800 miles to pick up the truck and am now screwed. Will never rent here again. read more

If I could give it a negative rating I would. My Lyft was running late, I called the office at 5:30 to let them know I'd be there right at 6:00. The phone rang the whole time and no one picked it up. I get there and the woman at the door tells me that their system shuts down right at 6 and there's nothing she can do for me. I told her about me being on the phone since 5:30 and no one there was on the phone and the phones weren't even ringing. She immediately closes the door on my face. Rental process started off fine. We rented a vehicle for about one week from this location. Returned it to this location with no problem last week. Problem is we just got an email showing "our bill for tolls incurred on the Massachusetts turnpike"! We never left the state and if they don't believe us, just check the mileage on the vehicle! If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would absolutely do so. I have never been more appalled at the treatment we received from these people. We called the Riverside Drive location and little did we know (and we were not enlightened) that these calls are diverted to "Corporate" who handle their phone calls for reservations and reservation-type issues. The man on the phone took the information, promised the car would be ready at the Riverside Drive location at 4:00 p.m. today, and even described the type of vehicles we could expect for the "standard" or "mid-sized" car, i.e., VW Jetta, etc. He said he could not promise that one, but one like it. We drove from our home the other side of another town to this location (25 -30 minutes), only to be informed that they would not have a car until Monday, that it was Corporate that took our information earlier that day and they have no way of knowing the location's stock or what is available. They treated us like it did not matter that we relied on this (my car was going in for service), that the promise made by "corporate" was completely misleading, and that we were simply "out of luck." What made matters worse, we were walking out the door when one of the young customer service people actually said, in a rather snide manner, "Have a Nice Day!!" If she had just left it alone (we were leaving, not happy, but nothing had been said out of anger, yet), it would have been bad enough. This caused my Husband to have a complete "meltdown" and he went off on them. The big guy who works there came out but never intervened while my husband yelled at the customer service people (customer service?), and yes he did cuss and he did get very close to them since they had been so dismissive and snide. I got my husband out to our vehicle and left. On our way out of the parking lot, one of the young girls who works there came running out with her phone and started taking pictures of our vehicle, of us in the vehicle, and the license plate. We then left. I called corporate and filed a complaint. Who knows what will be done with that information I had to give at least 2 people, the second of whom was supposed to have been a Supervisor in the "escalated" complaint area, who did not seem overly concerned or interested. I own a business - I am an Attorney. I have been practicing in the middle-Georgia area for 23 years. My firm has NEVER treated clients like we were treated today. I am amazed this location is still in business with this sort of attitude. They need training, and the people who were there today and who treated us this way need to be put on notice by this company. The Company needs to look into how these Customer Service people are representing the name of Enterprise Rentals. It does not look good, folks. I will share my experience with everyone I have had the pleasure of knowing for the 28 years I have lived here, and they will pass the word on, too. From the look of some of the other reviews, I am not alone in this since some of the lower reviews date back a year or more, and some are just last month. If I could leave zero stars I would. I've never had a great experience here but today takes the cake. Made a reservation a few days ago for a car to be picked up today at 5. They called this morning at 8 to confirm my reservation and to ask me to come at 4 since they close at 5. I get there at 350 and I am told that, not only are there no cars coming today, but that they DID NOT call all the reservations to let them know. I leave town tomorrow at 6 am and am now frantically trying to find a rental car, when most places close at 5. Renting from Enterprise was fairly complicated because I did not use a credit card as a method of payment. Since I used my debit card I had to provide two utility bills and a check stub like I was buying a car! I was also required to leave a deposit and purchase insurance through Enterprise. The insurance doubled the price of renting the car. The car itself was great! It was new, clean, fuel efficent, easy to drive, and there was no limitations on the milage I could drive. If I had to rent another car I would choose Enterprise again because its still the besy option available in my area. I pray I don't though! read more

I reserved a car by directly calling their office at 2480 Riverside Dr, Macon, GA 31204, received a confirmation number via email and upon arrival was advised that there were no vehicles available and they would be happy to either put us on a waiting list or we could check back after 3 pm. There were multiple customers in the same situation. When I spoke to the clerk, she tried telling me that I must have reserved on line and the problem with that is the on line service fails to check their inventory before confirming the rental. They did try calling us to let us know that they didn't have a car for us, unfortunately the voice mail was received after we were dropped off to pick up the car. Sometimes a place of business is too successful for it's own good. That's not the case with this Enterprise location. These people are simply not well suited for a customer service job. I had a reservation confirmed for a rental. I was late contacting them for a ride (1 hour) and was told I would need to wait 6 hours for them. Their conduct was curt and rude in the exchange. Their attitude was dismissive and aloof. I've rented from Enterprise several times and this is by far the worst crew I have had to deal with. Kyle and Chinese probably need to find another role where they don't directly deal with customers. Perhaps they could wash and vacuum the cars instead.
