Do not rent vehicles from here. I prepaid for a vehicle, went to pickup and then returned. I took pictures and videos prior to getting in the vehicle and upon returning. Employees have no knowledge of their inventory. I returned the vehicle and it was inspected by an employee who said I was good. I leave and my $41 receipt became $94 because they charged me for a full tank when the rental was not given to me with a full tank. I filled it back exactly where it was upon pickup. DO NOT COME HERE FOR RENTALS, i had booked a car through the uber app that connects to avis and when i went to the location the ladies who work there told me i needed to go to the location in morrow. Since they dont do uber, which doesnt make sense cause the pick up was for this location specifically, they didnt even try to attempt to call the other location if they had any cars for me. When i took another uber to the morrow location the lady there who was nice enough to help me out, that location didnt have cars either, so she had called the stockbridge location and spoke to a manager claiming "its not on us and that i should of called to verify if the morrow location had cars" and the manager on the phone from the stockbridge location was very nasty and rude to the lady who was trying to help me out. I am an Avis Preferred member and a long time business account customer, and this was one of the worst location experiences I have had. The rental center charged me a four hundred fifty dollar cleaning fee for what amounted to routine debris on floor mats that simply required vacuuming. There was no trash, no spills, no stains, no odors, and no damage to the vehicle. This is standard cleaning that Avis performs between every rental. When I questioned the charge, the staff refused to show me the photos they claimed justified the fee. They would not email them, would not allow me to photograph their screen, and initially would not even unlock the vehicle so I could inspect it again myself, despite the car being parked in a public lot. The owner was present during this interaction and did nothing to address the situation or provide an explanation. Only after I escalated the issue to corporate customer service was the charge refunded. The refund confirms that the fee was not appropriate. This location's handling of the situation was unprofessional, dismissive, and completely inconsistent with Avis standards. I would strongly caution other renters, especially business customers, from renting at this location. read more

WARNING: Stay far away from the Avis on Hwy 138 in Stockbridge, GA. On July 17, 2025, I received a last-minute voicemail stating there were no cars available--despite booking my reservation two weeks in advance. Completely unacceptable. I called to get answers and was met with extreme rudeness. The employee talked over me and wouldn't let me explain anything. So I drove to the location to speak with a manager in person--only to find more attitude and no accountability. She claimed the manager wasn't there, then called her--and that's when I realized the unprofessionalism went all the way up. The manager was just as dismissive and rude. I gave the phone back to the employee, and in a shocking moment, she threw the phone at me, and it hit my hand. Yes, you read that right. I'm filing a formal complaint with Avis Corporate and taking legal steps. Nobody should be treated this way. Both the employee and the manager need to be terminated. This location is a disgrace. Avis will never get another cent from me--I'd rather canoe down I-75 with no water than rent from them again. read more

She was very rude when I called and spoke to her about an overcharge and refused to speak to me and gave me the number to customer service instead of doing her job. I've rented with this location through AARP & they lack consideration accountability. I rented & prepaid for a small suv on July 9, 2023. Upon arriving one clerk leans over & says to her coworker, you didn't call her. She then turns to me & says we don't have a car for you. I explain the rental information & ask for a refund & she says no sir can't give you a refund but I can give you the number to customer service (which I was already on the phone calling). While on the phone after she had taking 2 other customers she says to me, well it's not that we don't have a car, it's just we don't have the vehicle you requested. She then tells me about a large suv or van but that'll be an upgrade charge, or a midsize car. Do, I agree to the car (which didn't even have 1/2 tank of gas). I brought it back on Full & contacted Avis asking for reimbursement or a credit, got no response. I then did another rental reservation through AARP on July 16 for the same vehicle on July 21st only this time I didn't prepay. I'm getting text messages confirming my reservation the last one at 1:04PM on July 20 reminding me to pick up my car at 12:00. However I receive a call at 2:56PM being told we won't have a car for you. Unacceptable, I rent from this location to have enough space to accommodate my nieces that live in FL but fly out of Atlanta. I always bring the car back early but I'm sure because of my last review, this location will not rent to me. I had to rent at this location twice in the month of January 2022 and both times horrible experiences. today 1-25-22 I called ahead of time to make sure the vehicle I RESERVED was available, the person at the counter said yes. 30 minutes later I get there and they had no vehicle....even tho I'm a preferred member and I should have been at least offered an upgrade however I wasn't!!! Instead I had to pay extra for a premium vehicle....this happened twice. also both times vehicles gas was not full even though it's stated on the contract. this location in Stockbridge GA is a black owed franchise that has Shown unprofessionalism and horrible customer service time and time again. This review is not only for this particular location but for the corporation of Avis as well DO NOT RENT HERE. DO NOT RENT WITH AVIS. There is no connection with corporate and the properties, rules are made as they go, with both pointing the finger at the other when errors arise. I've had my rental for about 2 months figured I would try Avis with my corporate discount with my job (was never given the IHG discount) from the first day I went to pick up my rental they ran out of cars. I was told I had to find my way to another location that had vehicles which was the airport about 45 min away. They would not upgrade me for the inconvenience (1), even though I offered to return the upgrade the very next day being that I did not need a mini van I called the customer service line and was told YOUR CAR IS NOT GUARANTEED AT PARTICULAR LOCATION. The only promise Avis makes is you will get a car but if the location is out it's your problem to get another location. I had to return the next day was never reimbursed for a cab for this inconvenience (2). The next day I arrive and get the car. I kept the car a month, every Friday extending for another week. When returning there was NO log off my extension for the last week so I was charged additional due to not returning it although I extended the same way all 3 times. I was told at the property they were having an issue with the computers not processing extensions all day. You would assume they would waive this fee knowing THEIR system had a glitch with several reservations. I complained about this inconvenience (3) and was told to call customer service for a reimbursement. I did and it was never received. Over $1000 for the first month. Yes you read that right 1000 for one month. Unfortunately could not switch rental companies the same day so I rented the same car. Upon returning the car for a second time the same issue my extension was never received I was charged an additional fee, from 712 to 850 for a glitch with THEIR system. I called the hotline and Nothing was resolved inconvenience (4). Let me add every time I brought an error to their attention the property blamed AVIS. When calling Avis the headquarters blame the property. I've been hung up on about 5x as well. I've been told I would receive a call back from a manager. I still haven't gotten my employee discount. I called one time in the office and over the phone a guest rep actually got into it with I assume the property manager at this location. This has been an insane roller coaster I never want to ride again. Save your self the headache and time and rent elsewhere. read more

Consumate online shoppers we began our search and to our surprise our favorite Enterprise was not the affordable option...it was close and something told me to remain loyal. So we went with Avis against my better instinct. So we paid and off to bed thinking Avis had us covered. The next morning we show up and they do not have a car. They dont have one ckming in and told us to check back after 2 pm, mind you they had already taken our money online. No biggie, lets just process our refund. The local Stockbridge office says they don't have anything to do eith refunding online reservations. They gave us a number to call. Avis told us we would get our money back in 5 days. This may be racketeering or fraud, if they get over on 100k custermers in a week and let all that cash [est. $850,000 based on our reservation] sit in the bank over night...trust me they make interedt on keeping y our money for five damn days. We ended up being in the market to rent a car for a short jaunt from Atlanta metro area to Louisiana. We found a pretty decent deal online and decided to pick up at this local Avis branch. I had great service from Craig, whom I believe is the owner. My mother and I were looking to rent a full-size sedan. Luck was upon that day, the only full-size was a luxury car, which we received the upgrade for a Chrysler 300. Such a great car and it rode beautifully. Great gas mileage, Sirius XM radio, etc. Returning the car was a non-issue and the return was handled quickly and easily. Back at home, I realized my phone adapter piece was missing. I called back to the office 20 minutes till closing and Craig checked the car and called me back within 10 minutes and let me know he located it. I was able to go back the next day to retrieve the adapter. I appreciate all the assistance, courtesy, professionalism and great customer service. I highly recommend Avis and this location. I prepaid for a rental car for pickup on May 19-2022. Upon arrival i was told that i would have to pay an additional 250 deposit. I was told the Additional charge would have to come off the same card used to make initial reservation. So I paid the $250 and proceeded to go and look at the car. The white Camry was wrecked in the front and smelled really bad. I went back into the office and told them i was cancelling my order. I have been waiting for a refund since May 19- 2022 with no response. The manager lady was so rude and refused to offer any assistance at all. I called today and the reservation had never been cancelled. The manager works out of spite and unprofessionalism. She is mean and very rude and disrespectful. She offers no assistance and will take a person to a level they wish not to go. I did used curse words at her, which i should not have done. People should really take care of their customers . Running my transaction through Costco ensured I got some really good rates on a rental for vacation. And I'm happy with the car I got. It was in great condition, and we got really good gas mileage for our trip. Checking out was also a breeze. Staff here was quick and efficient. Checking in was slightly less of a breeze, only because there was one person behind the counter with a line of ten people waiting... I know these independently owned satellite offices try to keep their overhead low, but sometimes not having to wait is really what makes an experience. read more

DONT RENT HERE!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Gloria was the representative taking care of me when I dropped the car off. I asked specifically will I be charged anything at that time and do I have a zero balance. She told me I wouldn't be charged anything else and if I had any pending transactions, they would appear back on my card tomorrow. After she finalized everything, I checked my account while standing at the corner and noticed she did charge me. I had an transaction for $908.03 and another transaction for $202.93 I ask Gloria why did they just charge my card after asking if my balance was zero. Instead of Gloria trying to figure out what happened, she rudely told me to call customer service. I said ok and left. I immediately called my bank to see if the $202 was an hold or a transaction. The representative from the bank called Avis to verify the charges. Gloria answered and told us, she will not verify anything, she doesn't have time to talk and hung up on us. I then returned to Avis to ask Gloria to explain the fees in detail on the finalized receipt she gave me. She told me NO she can't explain and everything is on the receipt. I asked her what was the total balance of the rental because I have 2 charges. She circles $908.03 and shoves the receipt in my face and tells me to leave. I then told her I would be reporting her. Gloria then tells the security to excort me out. Gloria was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, UNAPOLOGETIC and very RUDE!!!!! This company has stolen money for food to feed my children and I still have not received a refund. She calls herself the owner's wife. A business should never be ran this way. The most unprofessional place ever. Very disappointed with the service rendered. Pay in advance for a car at that location and I called to make sure there was one there after flying in from Louisiana. Uber there to find out they didn't have one after they promised to call if they didn't get a car in. They referred me to the airport after the inconvenience. After calling customer service they stated they would give me a small refund and a upgrade. After one of the representatives hung up on me. They gave me one day free on my next rental. So, when I got to the airport there was no upgrade and I had to pay another 100.00 for prepayment. I was so disappointed and to add insult to injury the car that was assigned, was not in the slot. They gave me a Volkswagen Jetta and there was a Nissan Frontier in the slot. Went back in they downgraded me to a Corolla. After fussing he gave me a Ford Fusion. When we return it there was another charge on card for a change in tax from one location to another after it was not our fault they rented a vehicle that they didn't have. What a nightmare.
